Dynamic prompts in SAS - stored-procedures

I'm trying to build some dynamic prompts with a stored procedure in SAS EG that are dynamic but not cascading (by that I mean that selecting a value will filter every other prompt, instead of having to answer prompts in a particular order).
Is there any way to do this without resorting to Javascript? All the documentation I've found points to the dependencies tab and it doesn't seem to have that capability.

I want to check information contained in a Google sheet, as the respondent is completing a form

We are using forms to allow people (staff) to book equipment out of a store, self service. We record who took what, and when they book it back in. They are asked if the tool condition is good, and if not, are taken to another part of the form to select a fault category. I record this information in the linked sheet.
so my question is can I read the information in the "fault" column of the linked sheet for that item ID, and generate a message to the form user such as "This item has been reported as faulty - please do not use it!" etc etc
If I could script the form so that it scans the linked sheet in the relevant column / row for the item they are trying to scan out, and then warn them that is has an entry in the "Fault" column, that would be perfect. Ideally as they scan the barcode of the item they are taking, before submitting the form, but after submit would be fine too.
I have searched widely and not yet found a solution
Since the only triggers which are available for Forms are the onOpen, onInstall and onFormSubmit, this cannot be done directly.
Possible solutions
1. You can develop your own form
This can be done by using Apps Script & HTML & JavaScript and creating your own Sheets add-on which will interract with the sheet you have in order to check the status of the tool.
2. You can programmatically update either the question name or the form description in order to include the accepted values for the question regarding the tools.
This can be done by creating a script attached to the sheet and using the onEdit(). So whenever a change is made in the tools section for example, this new data can be gathered as a string and update the fields to contain the updated values for the tools.

Is there a way to breakdown user access within a Jira project by component

I was asked to separate access to a particular Jira project by component. e.g. user "a" can see issues created for component "a", but not component "b". conversely, user "b" can see issues created for component "b", but not component "a".
I know that I can limit access to a particular project to one or more users, but I was unaware of a way to filter access to one or more users by component within a Jira project.
Is there any way to limit access to one or more people to a subset (less than all components) of a project?
I did a search for a Jira plugin that might offer this functionality, but did not find what I was looking for.
N/A
N/A
I don't know if that's possible by using a component (I don't think so), but there is an alternative approach which might be sufficient as well:
You can adjust the Browse Projects permission like this:
You can grant permission to a group custom field value. Then you could choose a custom group field (create one if not available) which will be evaluated on each issue. Then, if you create an issue and add a group to this custom field in that issue, only users from that group have access to view the issue. Take care that you remove the any logged in user setting for "Browse Projects", otherwise the group custom field does not have any effect. There is also a KB article here in Jira's documentation.
The first question is what are you trying to do? Why do you want to restrict who can view issues?
Jira has Issue Security Schemes that can do this based on setting the security level according to the component, or other fields. I'd use a custom create post function
But what happens when the component is changed? Now you have to restrict editing too.

TFS2013 Web Access - Configuration for Stakeholders

We use TFS2013 on premise. A request came up that when using Web Access, some members with Stakeholder access should only have limited rights when opening work items.
They should be able to edit Description, Acceptance Criteria, etc fields, but others should be read-only, such as Iteration, State, etc.
The only option I saw was about tags Create tag definition option under
Security >> Permissions, but that's not enough for me.
One idea was Customizing a process template, but this seems to be thin ice as our team doesn't have any experience with it and the things to avoid list is quite long.
The best workaround approach so far is to reference the TFS ClientLibrary from Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE\ReferenceAssemblies\v2.0\ and create a custom website which implements only the required features (for example when opening a work item, State would be a Label instead of a DropDownList).
The drawback of this solution is that it would keep the whole WebAccess portal hidden, including its nice features.
So my question in short: is there a way to make certain fields read-only on the work item form for stakeholder members?
UPDATE
Eventually I went towards Template Customization using TFS Power Tools 2013. Now I have to following problem:
Applying rules for certain fields work just fine, but in case the field type is TreePath, saving the template gives the following error
TF26062: Rule '< READONLY for="[Global]\Stakeholders" />' is not
supported for the field 'System.AreaPath'.
There were validation errors. Continuing to save may cause the file to
become unloadable, do you want to continue?
According to this answer from 2009: "there are some particular fields which can't be applied rules for"
Any suggestions how to go on?
You can choose the work item types to make some fields read only.
You will never need to be careful to not mark field read only that are needed for adding items. That would include area and iteration. Use witadmin.exe to export the desired work item and add read only clauses only for those in the stakeholder group.
You would be better with a permissive model. Allow everything and tell them what bout to change. Then have an alert for changes to those fields by stakeholders.

Is there a way to update custom fields with a post function in JIRA?

I was wondering if there is a way to update a custom field during a workflow transition in JIRA.
The "Update Issue Field" post function is the closest feature I found, but its document explicitly states "This post function cannot update custom fields and must be positioned after the other optional post functions."
I was wondering if there is another function can support my purpose.
JIRA Suite Utilities is the standard add-on everyone uses to do this
https://jsutil.atlassian.net/wiki/display/JSUTIL/JIRA+Suite+Utilities+Workflow+Post-Functions#JIRASuiteUtilitiesWorkflowPost-Functions-UpdateIssueCustomFieldPost-Function
Not available for OnDemand
EDIT: JIRA Suite Utilities is now available for JIRA Cloud and comes pre-installed in new Cloud instances.
EDIT: And now it is no longer free.
There is a Post Function Update Issue Custom Field now in JIRA OnDemand 7.1. It seems to be pretty limited, e.g. you can't write an expression such as setting the value if it's currently empty.
I'd provide a link to their documentation page but their search claims it doesn't exist.
There is possible to execute Groovy script as Post Function and it let you do almost everything.
For example, here is script, how to update custom field (option) dependent on value of another custom field value.
EDIT: This solution is abel only for hosted instace. Not for Cloud

Assigning Fogbugz cases programmatically

I want to write an application that assigns Fogbugz cases programmatically, how would I accomplish this? Is it possible to achieve this given any of the following scenarios:
The user enters text in my
application's input field and the
Fogbugz report is opened in the
browser where the "note" field is
populated with the text from the user
input
The fogbugz report is assigned to the
specified user in the application
without the browser even being opened
i.e. the report is stored directly in
the DB.
I'm planning to add default values to the other fields as well so I would assume the process would be the same for adding text to the "note" field.
You can do this with the Fogbugz API. See the heading "Editing Cases" for the specifics on how to edit a case (which includes creating a new one). It's a little complicated (or perhaps just oddly designed) but, as I remember, you basically have to call cmd=new if you want to create a new case, supply your text in the 's' parameter and set the ixPersonAssignedTo to the correct person. For an existing case, use cmd=edit.
This is possible both with a regular form posted to your Fogbugz installation and some server side code that calls the API.
You might want to write a plugin for FB and allow others to use it. (share it or sell it)
