iOS: UIButton draw circle border in iOS - ios

I need to draw a circle like border outside UIButton. Below is the attach image and code. I also need to show text below button. Following code will add image and text beneath that. But how do I have layer.

set the button width and height ex : width =100 and height = 100, should be same if you want a round then,
imageButton.layer.cornerRadius = 50 // this value should be half from width or height (width = height)

You can do something like this.

UIButton contentVerticalAlignment doesn't center button image

I created a UIButton programmatically and set its image, but the image just won't center vertically, it's always rendered at the bottom of the button.
Here is my code:

After setting a distinct background color for the imageView of the button I can see that it's still aligned to the bottom:
(blue = button, red = image view)
Why is it not working?
Based on your posted image, it looks like the Button itself is being clipped at the bottom, as opposed to the image not being centered vertically.
Your code:
CGRect logoutButtonFrame = CGRectMake(logoutButtonX, 0, logoutButtonSize, logoutButtonSize);
says the Button (blue rectangle) should be square. Yet in the image you posted, the blue rectangle is 120 x 88.
The bottom portion of your button is not being displayed, so it looks like your image is not centered.
By the way, you shouldn't need much of the code you are using:

AFAIK, UIControlContentVerticalAlignmentCenter & contentHorizontalAlignment is for text alignment and not for image....

Your code is not working because your UIButton is not Custom button.

Set UIButton contentEdgeInsets will make your button title adjustments to top, left, bottom, right.
floatingButton.contentEdgeInsets = UIEdgeInsetsMake(top, left, bottom, right);
In your case, it will make title to center
floatingButton.contentEdgeInsets = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 2, 3, 0);
Note: as per your given code kFloatingButtonSize is not mentioned, i checked with kFloatingButtonSize = 50

Shadow on UIButton text only (not background)

I have a set of UIButtons with background colors. when the user taps one, I want only the button's text to have a shadow all around it (to show that it has been selected). However, when I add the shadow, the shadow appears over the whole button (background and all), and not just the text. Is there an easier workaround to this than just adding a UILabel over a blank button?

You need to use setTitleShadowColor: forState: and shadowOffset property of UIButton.

Just set the shadow on the titleLabel property of the UIButton rather than what you're doing now.
eg
button.titleLabel.shadowColor = ((selectionState) ?[UIColor orangeColor] : [UIColor clearColor] );

One way to do this is to use attributed strings for the normal and highlighted titles. You can create an NSShadow object, and assign that as the value for the NSShadowAttributeName. This gives you control over the properties of the shadow. To keep the title from dimming, you should set the button type to Custom instead of System.

UIButton's title property logs correctly but not showing up when adding button as subview

I have a UIButton that I have created, and I can successfully add it as a subview and see it on the screen. The problem is, when I try using:
[myButton setTitle:#"My Title" forState:UIControlStateNormal];
The button does not show a title when I run the app. If I NSLog the button's title after using the above method, it has in fact been set to the title that I'm passing in.
Here's my code. This is inside a UIView subclass. I realize that some of this logic might not belong in a UIView subclass but I'm just trying to get this to work as fast as possible:

My button is showing up fine in iOS/iPhone simulator, however addLabel label is not showing up at all.
What am I missing?
The frame on your label is too large. The label text is being drawn outside the frame of your button as a result. Ideally, the frame of your label would be at most as tall as the button height.
Well UIButton already has a titleLabel. Have you tried just using that instead?
button.titleLabel.text = "+";
or even using a different button type:
