My requirement is to search for a "String" in a file and if the string is present in the file then I want to zip the folder else nothing to be zipped.
Could any one please throw idea on how I could start with?
I attempted to find the required ant task, but could not get it.
Thanks,

I followed the instructions in http://www.sql-workbench.net/manual/editor.html#editor-custom-keywords and created a txt file "keywords.db" in my config file and added a keyword, but it still doesn't highlight in editor? Anyone else have this issue?
Assuming you meant "in my config directory" rather than "file":
The file needs to have the extension .wb, not .db
I have s1.properties file in src/main/resources folder in project. It contents are
k1=v1
k2=v2
k3=v3
I have to create new file called t1.properties which shall have below mentioned contents
k1=#k1#
k2=#k2#
k3=#k3#
As you can see , my t1.properties file contents have been derived from s1.properties's keys. so, for all keys in s1.properties, I want to create t1.properties which above mentioned contents.
I hope I am able to understand my requirement.
I searched over internet but could not find a way to do through Maven.
Please let me know if it is possible to do it through Maven.
Thanks in advance
I achieved this requirement through custom java code and maven exec plugin
I am using sql 2012 SSIS process task to unzip my files but I am getting the following error
[Execute Process Task] Error:
In Executing "C:\Windows\System32\compact.exe" "x F:\Imports\RenLearn\'Roseville City School District'.zip -oF:\Imports\RenLearn\Roseville City School District" at "",
The process exit code was "1" while the expected was "0".
The two paths above are created as variables along with the path to . Any suggestions and thanks ahead of time.
I had the exact same problem and I realised that I had copied the .exe file in the same folder as the .zip files because this resolved my problem in BIDS, but in Data Tools it seems like necessary to do that.. sounds little weird, but it worked for me so perhaps it will for you as well. :-)
If you have set the "Working directory" property, you need to remove it to make the task work.
Remove the space in zip file name as the Execute process fails if the file contains special characters. Instead of spaces, use "_" and try it. Even the same issue I got later was sorted out by this approach.
I'm planning to do a program with Lua that will first of all read specific files
and get information from those files. So my first question is whats the "my documents" path name? I have searched a lot of places, but I'm unable to find anything. My second question is how can I use the first four letters of a file name to see which one is the newest made?
Finding the files in "my documents" then find the newest created file and read it.
The reading part shouldn't be a problem, but navigating to "my documents" and finding the newest created file in a folder.
For your first question, depends how robust you want your script to be. You could use Lua's builtin os.getenv() to get a variety of environment vars related to user, such as USERNAME, USERPROFILE, HOMEDRIVE, HOMEPATH. Example:
username = os.getenv('USERNAME')
dir = 'C:\\users\\' .. username .. '\\Documents'
For the second question, there is no builtin mechanism in Windows to have the file creation or modification timestamp as part of the filename. You could read the creation or modification timestamp, via a C extension you create or using an existing Lua library like lfs. Or you could read the contents of a folder and parse the filenames if they were named according to the pattern you mention. Again there is nothing built into Lua to do this, you would either use os.execute() or lfs or, again, your own C extension module, or combinations of these.
I'm trying to insert the content of a file inside a job description. My build generates a file and I can find it easily with the following URL: http:/[my-domain]job/[my-job]/lastBuild/artifact/[my-file]. In my case, this is a text file and I would like to display it in the job description. I can easily insert a link to this file with HTML but how can I insert the content of this file ?
What is your Jenkins running on? Windows or Linux?
The Project Description Setter plugin is indeed the way to go, but you need to display the content of your file in the build log first, before the plugin will pick it up.
Like Christopher said, you don't need a job URL to access the file that you have in your workspace.
For Linux, put the following into your shell execute step:
echo -n "[DESC] " && cat myfile
For Windows, use this:
echo|set /p="[DESC] " & type myfile
This will print the content of file and prefix it with "[DESC]". We need this prefix (it can be anything you want) to identify this line to the Description Setter plugin
In the job configuration, under Set build description, type:
\[DESC\] (.*)
One note: only the first line of the file will be printed in description
The Project Description Setter plugin can do this.
