I have come across an issue when I add a TWebBrowser to a Delphi form and then load a webpage either from file, i.e. wb1.Navigate('file://myhtml.html'); or navigate to the exact page stored on a website, i.e. wb1.navigate('http://mysite/myhtml.html');
It seems to process the CSS differently whether I load the page locally or from the website in IE itself!
I have made sure the page has <!DOCTYPE html> which is meant to force IE9 as a minimum from what I have read.
Anyone seen anything like this before?
This is what it looks like if I load the page using TWebBrowser:
In IE, it displays the data correctly side by side horizontally.
Thanks. It was the compatibility mode that was the issue.

This is my first question on SO so i'll try and make it as clear and as understandable as possible.
I've recently started messing around with Angular JS and currently I am working on a mobile app using Angular JS and jQuery Mobile. So far I've not had any major problems and so far have no had a need to consider any external libraries for integration (such as the angular js + jquery mobile adapter). I've created a multi-page app (currently only two pages) and used separate controllers for each page (login + content page). The app itself is simple, it's just a list keeping app and i've created a quick jsfiddle based on the ui aspect of the content page: http://jsfiddle.net/G7JNV/4/
The app works as expected from the jsfiddle. However because the content page is a page in the same html document (index.html) as the login page, to navigate to the content page the url becomes:
.../index.html#mainpage
(mainpage being the page for the list keeper)
Thats when things start getting funny. When the url is like above, when adding an item to the list, the item is initially unstyled (it doesn't look like it's part of the list) but the css styling for that item comes back after adding another item. Of course the next item is then unstyled (and so on).
If you want to see what the issue looks like:
Everything however works fine if i don't have the hash page as part of the URL (I tested this by turning the two page app into just one page for the content so that .../index.html goes straight to the content page). The css is applied to the dynamic content fine as one would expect.
Of course I have no idea why it's doing this and I suspect that it's something to do with how angular and jqm treat the hash anchor in the URL (but bare in mind I don't have much experience in both Angular JS nor jQuery Mobile).
Any help from any of the more experienced Angular JS (and jQuery Mobile) users would be greatly appreciated!
You should be creating a directive that encapsulates the list and the logic that you have for it.
As suggested in the comments to your questions, a timeout can work. If you're having issues with the element "flashing" or "flickering", you can use the ngCloak directive to deal with this.
You may also want to check out the $locationProvider configuration in your app and turn off HTML5 mode or set the hash prefix.
We have deployed our webapp, which was developed with JSF, Spring and Hibernate on Tomcat server in our internal network (intranet). When I test in my application in local it's working fine.
But once I deploy to DEV I come across style issues. When I have two dropdowns one after another, the top dropdown overlaps with another one.
This happens when I have Document Mode set to "IE7 standards." When I change Document Mode to "IE8 standards," everything works fine.
To force Document Mode to IE8 standards, I tried this meta tag in my section of the HTML document according to this link, but it didn't work for me:
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" >
How can I force my page to render according to IE8 standards on the intranet? Does my application render in IE8 standards on the internet?
EDIT :I see something in my develoer tools.Even though I kept my <meta> it after <head> but my primefaces styles and scripts are loading before to that. How can I resolve this?
Odd, this item was posted yesterday, not sure if it applies to your situation:
IE 8 will ignore the x-ua-compatible setting if it comes after the stylesheets. In order for IE to acknowledge the meta setting, put it at the top.
I am glad to tell I am finally able to resolve this issue by using this link in primefaces. And this post also helped to do it through entire application

I have a local jQuery Mobile project going (inside PhoneGap, thus file:// protocol) where I sometimes need to fetch external pages (using http://) from a server where the content too are jQM pages with almost identical markup (except for the content, which is generated from a CMS).
Setting $.mobile.allowCrossDomainPages to true gives me the page, and that is all right. Going Back, however, fails. I get stuck in a place where /www/index.html is not found on the server (like, doh, of course..). Is there a way to "remember" where I came from, taking me back to the local html page I originally came from?
We just added a docs page on PhoneGap in jQuery Mobile for RC3 that should help you out quite a bit:

I just updated the jQuery Mobile version of our client book-in page to the latest 1.0a4.1 and I need some help debugging a window sizing issue off-site (I'm not on location).
The page runs on an iPad at the store so clients can book in their own cases. However, the page is being displayed like it's on an iPhone with huge lettering. "Emulating" with Ripple shows everything as it should, though.
I can't debug it from here and I'm not using any other CSS besides the base 1.0a4.1 stylesheets. How do I force jQuery Mobile to display the page as if on an iPad?
Here is a screenshot sent by the store clerk:
I didn't have the time to test it or try the fix, so it's still a guess, but at least based on your code inspection ;)
ok, so you put a meta viewport in your page and JQM also pops in a little
<meta content="width=device-width,minimum-scale=1,maximum-scale=1" name="viewport">.
As I said - I didn't test it, but I expect a collision. I have read somewhere that JQM was supposed to stop putting those metatags there... Try fiddling with that metatag a bit.
Also - see if the alpha4 or 4.1 release notes (on the blog) say something about viewports.
Running Media Queries
I'm Using sIFR 3r436, and although I believe everything is set up correctly, and my console shows that the .swf font file is loading correctly, the HTML type is hidden but the sIFR type is not displaying. Below is a link to the site in question:
Schaffer's Website
Below is a link to a test site that uses exactly the same sifr-config.js, sifr.js, css, and swf files. And it works. The main difference between the two is the server that they are running on.
Schaffer's Test Site
I'm hoping that maybe somebody can see a problem that I'm unable to. Appreciate the help!
The server gives a 403 forbidden for the Flash movie – in other words, it does not load.
