Unable to get Facebook permissions after HTTPMethod DELETE in Swift - ios

I am working on an app that logs in to Facebook using the FBSDK in Swift. I also have been able to make requests to get my wall posts by using
var request: FBSDKGraphRequest
request = FBSDKGraphRequest(graphPath: "me/feed"), parameters: ["access_token": FBSDKAccessToken.currentAccessToken().tokenString], HTTPMethod:"GET")
request.startWithCompletionHandler({(connection, result, error) -> Void in
if error != nil
{
}
else
{
}
})
but I have been unable to get back results after I used the following to log out
var deletePermission = FBSDKGraphRequest(graphPath: "me/permissions/", parameters: nil, HTTPMethod: "DELETE")
deleterPermission.startWithCompletionHandler({(connection, result, error) -> Void in
if error != nil
{
}
else
{
}
})
When I log back in to the app, I am again asked to accept permissions, but when I check the expiration date for the current token with FBSDKAccessToken.currentAccessToken().expirationDate I get a date before I tried HTTPMethod: DELETE.
So I was wondering how it would be possible to get back permission for your app or renew my access token because I don't think it's working by logging back in and accepting permissions. I have used the following to log out of the app
// Log out of the database I'm using
try! FIRAuth.auth()!.signOut()
// Log out of Facebook, clear current token and logged user
FBSDKAccessToken.setCurrentAccessToken(nil)
FBSDKProfile.setCurrentProfile(nil)
I am also using `FBSDKLoginButton()' and setting the following permissions to log in
var loginButton = FBSDKLoginButton()
loginButton.readPermissions = ["public_profile", "user_friends", "user_about_me", "user_posts"]
loginButton.delegate = self
....
func loginButton(loginButton: FBSDKLoginButton!, didCompleteWithResult result: FBSDKLoginManagerLoginResult!, error: NSError!) {
if error == nil
{
let credential = FIRFacebookAuthProvider.credentialWithAccessToken(FBSDKAccessToken.currentAccessToken().tokenString)
// Firebase authentication
FIRAuth.auth()?.signInWithCredential(credential) {(user, error) in
if error == nil
{
// No error found get user credentials through Firebase
}
else
{
}
}}
But again after logging in and going to another ViewController by segue and I check the current token to get "me/feed" I am not getting a reply and the token's expiration date has expired. Would it be easier to create a new app in Facebook developer and set it up in Xcode or is there something I can do to get my user posts?

Get Facebook Friends Possible 2020

All the answers that was available are too old tried different ways but not able to get any information related to facebook logged in user friends.
let loginManager = LoginManager()
loginManager.logIn(permissions: ["public_profile", "email", "user_friends"], from: loginScreen) { (result, error) in
if (result?.token != nil) {
self.didLoginWithFacebook()
}
}
the above set "user_friends" permission is not getting asked from the user and also not coming back in granted or denied permission.
And also using
let graphRequest = GraphRequest(graphPath:"me/friends", parameters: ["fields":"id,email,last_name,first_name,picture"], tokenString: accessToken.tokenString, version: nil, httpMethod: .get)
graphRequest.start { (connection, result, error) in
guard let result = result as? [String:String] else{
print("Facebook request user error")
return
}
}
returning empty data fields
I want to know is it even possible to get friends or not ?
Even we don't get friends after asking the user for permission ?
Getting error when trying to login with admin user
According to
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api/reference/user/friends/
This api returns only
Represents a collection of Users who are friends of the app User. Only
friends who have installed the app and who have granted the app the
user_friends permission will be included.
So, if You don't have any friends who also installed your app and granted friends permission -> response still be empty
Try with an app admin, regular users will not be able to use the permission if it is not approved by Facebook yet
There is a missing apostrophe in your code, right after user_friends:
permissions: ["public_profile", "email","user_friends"...

Getting Twitter profile info with Firebase Auth Swift

I'm trying to get basic details of a user signing into my app with their Twitter account. I am able to sign them in but not too sure where to go from here.
I'm pretty sure I need to use this get request but am unsure how to structure the request. Am also a little lost which token I include.
I haven't had much experience with the REST API as you could tell. I have Postman set up so if someone could point me in the right direction about accessing the data I could take it from there.
Thanks
#IBAction func twitterSignupPress() {
provider.getCredentialWith(nil) { credential, error in
if error != nil {
print("Error attempting to sign up using Twitter: \(error!)")
} else {
Auth.auth().signIn(with: credential!) { authResult, error in
if error != nil {
print("Error with Twitter signin")
} else {
print("Successful signin using Twitter")
let oAuthCredential = authResult?.credential as! OAuthCredential
print(oAuthCredential.accessToken!) // Prints token
print(oAuthCredential.idToken) // Prints nil
}
}
}
}
}
Was as simple as adding authResult?.additionalUserInfo?.profile

Firebase Authentication Link Facebook to Google

After many tests I decided to create a new xCode project to better understand Firebase authentication with multiple providers.
I set up in Firebase -> SignIn Methods -> An account per email address
An account per email address
Prevents users from creating multiple
accounts using the same email address with different authentication
providers
At this point I have implemented, carefully following the Firebase guide, the login with Facebook and with Google .. Everything seems to work perfectly but I always find myself with the same error that I can't manage:
When my user creates a Firebase account via Google he is no longer able to log in if he decides to use Facebook.
Facebook returns its error when it completes its authentication flow with Firebase:
Firebase Error With Facebook Provider: An account already exists with the same email address but different sign-in credentials. Sign in using a provider associated with this email address.
Continuing to follow the documentation step by step I stopped here (firebase explains how to handle this error)
I have also implemented error handling but after calling Auth.auth().fetchSignInMethods Firebase says I should authenticate the user with the existing provider, at this point how do I get the credentials for authentication with the existing provider?
I wouldn't want to reopen the existing provider controller to get new credentials
Am I obliged to ask the user to log in with the existing provider and show another access controller again (in this case that of Google)?
How should I handle this situation?
override func viewDidLoad() {
super.viewDidLoad()
facebookSetup()
}
func facebookSetup() {
let loginButton = FBLoginButton(permissions: [ .publicProfile, .email ])
loginButton.center = view.center
loginButton.delegate = self
view.addSubview(loginButton)
}
//MARK: - FACEBOOK Delegate
func loginButton(_ loginButton: FBLoginButton, didCompleteWith result: LoginManagerLoginResult?, error: Error?) {
if let error = error {
print(error.localizedDescription)
return
}
let credential = FacebookAuthProvider.credential(withAccessToken: AccessToken.current!.tokenString)
Auth.auth().signIn(with: credential) { (authResult, error) in
if let error = error {
print("\n FIREBASE: ",error.localizedDescription)
// An account with the same email already exists.
if (error as NSError?)?.code == AuthErrorCode.accountExistsWithDifferentCredential.rawValue {
// Get pending credential and email of existing account.
let existingAcctEmail = (error as NSError).userInfo[AuthErrorUserInfoEmailKey] as! String
let pendingCred = (error as NSError).userInfo[AuthErrorUserInfoUpdatedCredentialKey] as! AuthCredential
// Lookup existing account identifier by the email.
Auth.auth().fetchSignInMethods(forEmail: existingAcctEmail) { providers, error in
if (providers?.contains(GoogleAuthProviderID))! {
// Sign in with existing account.
Auth.auth().signIn(with: "? ? ? ?") { user, error in
// Successfully signed in.
if user != nil {
// Link pending credential to account.
Auth.auth().currentUser?.link(with: pendingCred) { result, error in
// Link Facebook to Google Account
}
}
}
}
}
}
}
}

LinkedIn login with custom token ( ERROR_INVALID_CUSTOM_TOKEN )

I am trying to login with LinkedIn using the native app and the LinkedIn SDK. So far I can login using the web if the LinkedIn app is not installed. I can also login with LinkedIn and get a token in return. But when I try to authenticate with Firebase I get this error:
Optional(Error Domain=FIRAuthErrorDomain Code=17000 "The custom token
format is incorrect. Please check the documentation." UserInfo=
{NSLocalizedDescription=The custom token format is incorrect. Please
check the documentation., error_name=ERROR_INVALID_CUSTOM_TOKEN})
This is my code:
// App installed
let permissions = [LISDK_BASIC_PROFILE_PERMISSION,LISDK_EMAILADDRESS_PERMISSION]
LISDKSessionManager.createSession(withAuth: permissions, state: nil, showGoToAppStoreDialog: true, successBlock: { (returnState) -> Void in
LISDKAPIHelper.sharedInstance().getRequest("https://api.linkedin.com/v1/people/~:(id,first-name,last-name,email-address,picture-url,public-profile-url,industry,positions,location)?format=json", success: { (response) -> Void in
if let data = response?.data.data(using: String.Encoding.utf8) {
if let dictResponse = try? JSONSerialization.jsonObject(with: data, options: .mutableContainers){
let token = LISDKSessionManager.sharedInstance().session.accessToken.accessTokenValue
Auth.auth().signIn(withCustomToken: token! ) { (user, error) in
print(user!)
print(error!)
}
}
}
}, error: { (error) -> Void in
print("LINKEDIN error\(String(describing: error))")
})
}) { (error) -> Void in
print("error login linkedin")
}
The token I am sending to Firebase is a String, so that should be okay. I must be missing something. But what ?
The problem was my misunderstanding. I thought I could use the Linkedin token directly. It has to go to a webservice that uses the Firebase admin user to generate the token.

Handle Invalidated Token Alert from Facebook SDK

P.S: Please help me vote up this question since it is really really
difficult to find the solution.
Below is my code to check if my facebook token is valid or not.
var request: FBSDKGraphRequest = FBSDKGraphRequest(graphPath: "me", parameters: nil);
request.startWithCompletionHandler { (connection: FBSDKGraphRequestConnection!, result: AnyObject!, error: NSError!) -> Void in
if error == nil {
println("No Error")
}
else {
PFFacebookUtils.unlinkUserInBackground(SLUser.currentUser()!);
println("Error")
}
}
What is weird is that, IF the token is not valid (user has changed password or user has revoked the application permission) the app automatically shows an Alert like below.
My question is:
How do I handle when user press OK or Cancel?
Is it possible to disable that Alert or Replace it?
