delegate returns nil tvOS - ios

I am trying to figure out from long time. Can someone tell me why my delegate method is never called. Its a tvOS project but i believe it should work as simple iOS app. On click of button i have a popup table view and on select i am trying to update button label with selected option.

The problem is that, you are getting your delegate as nil, since there can be only one ViewController at a time presented. Since your popupViewController's view is not loaded. The viewDidLoad() method is not getting called, resulting in non-setting of popupDelegate.
If you want to check its nullity. Try this in your didSelect... Method

If you want the fromMonth button to be updated. First you will need to present/push VacationPlannerController in order to call its viewDidLoad(). Then only you will be able to update its property, that is, fromMonth label.

Two things to resolve this issue -
First in PopupViewController-
In didSelectRowAtIndexPath, replaced
delegate?.UpdateSelected((tableView.cellForRowAtIndexPath(indexPath)?.textLabel?.text)!)
with
self.delegate?.UpdateSelected((tableView.cellForRowAtIndexPath(indexPath)?.textLabel?.text)!)
And Second in VacationPlannerController-
Removed below code from viewDidLoad -

popupDelegate.delegate = self
And added prepareForSegue -

How to reload a view-controller after data has been fetched from a network request?

I have a problem and can't seem to fix it after looking at tutorials online and other SO questions with a similar problem, which leaves me to think I've done something wrong/bad practice related in my code.
I have 2 table view controllers.
The first TableViewController is populated from a database, all this works fine. When I click one of the cells it segues to a second TableViewController which also should be populated from a database (depending on what you select in the first VC).
Currently if I click a cell in TVC1 it goes to TVC2 and it's empty, then it I click back within my navigation controller and select something else, it goes back to TVC2 and shows me my first selection. This indicates that TVC2 is being loaded before the network has returned its data from the database.... so, I tried using tableView.reloadData() in various places like viewDidLoad and viewDidAppear, but i just can't seem to get it to work.
Below is both TVC's. I've stuck with MVC design pattern and haven't included the model and severConnection code for each TVC because I don't want to over complicate the post, however if you'd like to see either I will update.

I think you have a timing problem. You're reloading right after your async data call. You reload but your data isn't in place at that time. Try using functions with escaping or use "didSet" on your data like:

Editing table row cell swift 3

I am trying to edit the table row cell. I have different tableViewController set up to display/edit the current events when they touch on the displayed events from initial tableViewController. Whenever I edit an event and hit save, it goes back to the main viewController where i am initially displaying my events, but it doesn't display the edited events. it keeps showing the original events.

It's unclear, where do you provide data for EditEventsTableViewController. Is it static table view, designed in storyboard?

Passing coredata from tableview to another tableview

I am struggling with getting my care data to populate my second tableview controller. The data is populating the first tableview and I can select a row and the segue is used to go to the second table but the labels are not populated.
I've looked all over and have found older samples or obj-c but I cannot figure it out, so any help pointing this n00b in the right direction will be helpful.

The warning contains the answer - just change

In order to get chosen cell index you need to get indexpath for selected row, then you need to get section or row index from indexpath.

The first step of troubleshooting would be to put a breakpoint in your prepareForSegue method to see if exerciseOptions.indexPathForSelectedRow is already nil at that point, in which case something is happening before the segue even occurs that's messing with the value (which the link above can help you diagnose).
Try making a property in your table view controller called something like selectedRow, and in didSelectRowAtIndexPath, set self.selectedRow = indexPath.row. This way you have your own variable that'll be more reliable than exerciseOptions.indexPathForSelectedRow. Then change the code in prepareForSegue appropriately.
