for(var i=0;i<objs.length;i++) {
images.push(objs[i].src);
objs[i].setAttribute('data-index',i);
objs[i].onclick = function(){
// just for test, let me know I can click the img
document.body.style.backgroundColor = '#'+Math.floor(Math.random()*0xFFFFFF).toString(16);
var di = this.getAttribute('data-index');
// ----------- question -----------

$(window).scroll(function () {}) is not working

I'm trying to perform some action on window scroll event but it is not working.
Here is my code
$(window).scroll(function () {
// var limit = 7; //The number of records to display per request
var lastID = $newsfeed_start;
if (($(window).scrollTop() == $(document).height() - $(window).height()&& (lastID != 0)) {
// increment strat value
$newsfeed_start = $newsfeed_start + $newsfeed_limit;
get_timeline_post('');
}
});
even $(window).scroll(function () { } ) function is not working
Your CSS is actually setting the rest of the document to not show overflow therefore the document itself isn't scrolling. The easiest fix for this is bind the event to the thing that is scrolling, which in your case is div#page.
So its easy as changing:
$(document).scroll(function() { // OR $(window).scroll(function() {
didScroll = true;
});
to
$('div#page').scroll(function() {
didScroll = true;
});

photoswipe returning to initial hash of current page instead of last scroll position

On IOS, when I close photoswipe to return to the page, it wont return to the scroll position I was at when I clicked the thumbnail.
Instead the page scrolls back to the # which was specified when I initially called the page.
For example if photoswipe is on www.somepage.html, and I navigate to the page using:
www.somepage.html#footer
and then scroll up and click a thumnail in #middle of page, on closing photoswipe, the page scrolls back down to the footer.
I've tried disabling history in the photswipe options, and i've also tried clearing the hash data from the url using:
//clear hash
//$(document).ready(function (e) {
// window.location.hash = '';
// window.history.pushState("", document.title, window.location.pathname);
//
//});
But none of it seems to work. If I navigate to the page without the # in the page, everthing is fine.
I'm guessing I may have to pass a variable in the url instead of the # and scroll to the div in question via javascript?
I already have the javascript in place to scroll, but I'm not sure how to read the variable from the url and then use it's value in Javascript.
If this is likely to be the best fix for the issue, could anyone give an example of the javascript code needed?
Here's my current scroll code:
$(function () {
$('a[href*=#]:not([href=#],[data-toggle],[data-target],[data-slide])').click(function () {
if (location.pathname.replace(/^\//, '') == this.pathname.replace(/^\//, '') || location.hostname == this.hostname) {
var target = $(this.hash);
target = target.length ? target : $('[name=' + this.hash.slice(1) + ']');
if (target.length) {
$('html,body').animate({
scrollTop: target.offset().top
}, 1000);
return false;
}
}
});
});
If anyone else has the same issue, I've managed to fix this by passing the div id to the page in the query string rather than using a #.
Here's the code:
$(window).ready(function () {
if (document.location.search.length) {
target = getUrlVars()["id"];
scrollToID('#' + target, 750);
} else {
return;
}
//target = $url().param('id');
//if (target == '') return;
});
function getUrlVars() {
var vars = [], hash;
var hashes = window.location.href.slice(window.location.href.indexOf('?') + 1).split('&');
for (var i = 0; i < hashes.length; i++) {
hash = hashes[i].split('=');
vars.push(hash[0]);
vars[hash[0]] = hash[1];
}
return vars;
}
// scroll function
function scrollToID(id, speed){
var offSet = 100;
var targetOffset = $(id).offset().top - offSet;
var mainNav = $('#main-nav');
$('html,body').animate({scrollTop:targetOffset}, speed);
if (mainNav.hasClass("open")) {
mainNav.css("height", "1px").removeClass("in").addClass("collapse");
mainNav.removeClass("open");
}
}
if (typeof console === "undefined") {
console = {
log: function() { }
};
}

Firefox addon which refreshes the tap and auto resend data

I'm trying make a firefox add-on, which reloads a page automatically under some conditions.
First I add a contentScript to a tab to get some information on the page in my addon
tab.attach({
contentScript:self.port.emit...
I have it working to the point of the refresh with
tab.reload();
but then an alert pops up every time "if it should resend data".
I want to resend the data automatically.
How and where do I do it? In the add-on or in the contentScript?
Has it to do with the Load Flags constant?
This clicks the accept button when the prompt opens. But you see the prompt window for like a couple hundred ms.
i had to use setTimeout with 0 wait time other wise the aDOMWindow.args property and aDOMWindow.Dialog and a bunch of other stuff would be undefined or null so weird. But this works:
var stringBundle = Services.strings.createBundle('chrome://browser/locale/appstrings.properties');
try {
windowListener.unregister();
} catch (ignore) {}
var windowListener = {
//DO NOT EDIT HERE
onOpenWindow: function(aXULWindow) {
// Wait for the window to finish loading
let aDOMWindow = aXULWindow.QueryInterface(Ci.nsIInterfaceRequestor).getInterface(Ci.nsIDOMWindowInternal || Ci.nsIDOMWindow);
aDOMWindow.addEventListener('load', function() {
aDOMWindow.removeEventListener('load', arguments.callee, false);
windowListener.loadIntoWindow(aDOMWindow, aXULWindow);
}, false);
},
onCloseWindow: function(aXULWindow) {},
onWindowTitleChange: function(aXULWindow, aNewTitle) {},
register: function() {
// Load into any existing windows
let XULWindows = Services.wm.getXULWindowEnumerator(null);
while (XULWindows.hasMoreElements()) {
let aXULWindow = XULWindows.getNext();
let aDOMWindow = aXULWindow.QueryInterface(Ci.nsIInterfaceRequestor).getInterface(Ci.nsIDOMWindowInternal || Ci.nsIDOMWindow);
windowListener.loadIntoWindow(aDOMWindow, aXULWindow);
}
// Listen to new windows
Services.wm.addListener(windowListener);
},
unregister: function() {
// Unload from any existing windows
let XULWindows = Services.wm.getXULWindowEnumerator(null);
while (XULWindows.hasMoreElements()) {
let aXULWindow = XULWindows.getNext();
let aDOMWindow = aXULWindow.QueryInterface(Ci.nsIInterfaceRequestor).getInterface(Ci.nsIDOMWindowInternal || Ci.nsIDOMWindow);
windowListener.unloadFromWindow(aDOMWindow, aXULWindow);
}
//Stop listening so future added windows dont get this attached
Services.wm.removeListener(windowListener);
},
//END - DO NOT EDIT HERE
loadIntoWindow: function(aDOMWindow, aXULWindow) {
if (!aDOMWindow) {
return;
}
if (aDOMWindow.location == 'chrome://global/content/commonDialog.xul') {
var repostString = stringBundle.GetStringFromName('confirmRepostPrompt');
var repostStringFormatted = stringBundle.formatStringFromName('confirmRepostPrompt', [aDOMWindow.Application.name], 1);
aDOMWindow.setTimeout(function() {
console.log('setimeout val 00:', aDOMWindow.args)
//aDOMWindow.args and aDOMWindow.Dialog is not available till after setTimeout of 0 so weird
if (aDOMWindow.args.text == repostString || aDOMWindow.args.text == repostStringFormatted) {
console.log('this is resend prompt so accept it');
//aDOMWindow.Dialog.ui.button0.click(); //doesnt work
//aDOMWindow.Dialog.onButton0(); // doesnt work
//aDOMWindow.ondialogaccept(); //doesnt work
var dialog = aDOMWindow.document.getElementById('commonDialog');
var btnAccept = aDOMWindow.document.getAnonymousElementByAttribute(dialog, 'dlgtype', 'accept');
btnAccept.click();
console.log('clicked');
}
}, 0);
}
},
unloadFromWindow: function(aDOMWindow, aXULWindow) {
if (!aDOMWindow) {
return;
}
}
};
windowListener.register();
open scratchpad. set environemnt to browser. run the code. refresh a page to get prompt you'll see it get clicked.

Setting Context Item position in Firefox addons SDK

I'm writing an extension that involving adding an item to Firefox's context menu, but it appends to the end of the menu and I couldn't find any pointers customizing item's position using Addon SDK (insertBefore/insertAfter), I know how this can be done using XUL, but I'm trying to do it using Addon SDK or some sort of Addon SDK/XUL combination
This is the code snippet related to context menu
main.js
var pageMod = require("sdk/page-mod");
var data = require("sdk/self").data;
var tabs = require("sdk/tabs");
var cm = require("sdk/context-menu");
pageMod.PageMod({
include: "*.youtube.com",
contentScriptFile: data.url("page.js"),
onAttach: function (worker) {
worker.port.emit('link', data.url('convertbutton.png'));
}});
cm.Item({
label: "Convert File",
image: data.url("bighdconverterlogo128png.png"),
context: [
cm.URLContext(["*.youtube.com"]),
cm.PageContext()
],
contentScriptFile: data.url("menu.js"),
onMessage: function(vUrl){
tabs.open(vUrl);
}
});
data/menu.js
self.on("click", function(){
self.postMessage('http://hdconverter.co/' + 'c.php?url=' + window.location.href);
});
Thanks
i dont know about sdk but for non-sdk addons its easy. but because you dont have the boiler plate setup its going to look long. add this code to your addon at the bottom:
var positionToInsertMenu = 0; //set the position you want it at here
var myLabelText = 'Convert File';
const {interfaces: Ci,utils: Cu} = Components;
Cu.import('resource://gre/modules/Services.jsm');
/*start - windowlistener*/
var windowListener = {
//DO NOT EDIT HERE
onOpenWindow: function (aXULWindow) {
// Wait for the window to finish loading
let aDOMWindow = aXULWindow.QueryInterface(Ci.nsIInterfaceRequestor).getInterface(Ci.nsIDOMWindowInternal || Ci.nsIDOMWindow);
aDOMWindow.addEventListener("load", function () {
aDOMWindow.removeEventListener("load", arguments.callee, false);
windowListener.loadIntoWindow(aDOMWindow, aXULWindow);
}, false);
},
onCloseWindow: function (aXULWindow) {},
onWindowTitleChange: function (aXULWindow, aNewTitle) {},
register: function () {
// Load into any existing windows
let XULWindows = Services.wm.getXULWindowEnumerator(null);
while (XULWindows.hasMoreElements()) {
let aXULWindow = XULWindows.getNext();
let aDOMWindow = aXULWindow.QueryInterface(Ci.nsIInterfaceRequestor).getInterface(Ci.nsIDOMWindowInternal || Ci.nsIDOMWindow);
windowListener.loadIntoWindow(aDOMWindow, aXULWindow);
}
// Listen to new windows
Services.wm.addListener(windowListener);
},
unregister: function () {
// Unload from any existing windows
let XULWindows = Services.wm.getXULWindowEnumerator(null);
while (XULWindows.hasMoreElements()) {
let aXULWindow = XULWindows.getNext();
let aDOMWindow = aXULWindow.QueryInterface(Ci.nsIInterfaceRequestor).getInterface(Ci.nsIDOMWindowInternal || Ci.nsIDOMWindow);
windowListener.unloadFromWindow(aDOMWindow, aXULWindow);
}
//Stop listening so future added windows dont get this attached
Services.wm.removeListener(windowListener);
},
//END - DO NOT EDIT HERE
loadIntoWindow: function (aDOMWindow, aXULWindow) {
if (!aDOMWindow) {
return;
}
var contentAreaContextMenu = aDOMWindow.document.getElementById('contentAreaContextMenu');
var myMenuItem;
if (contentAreaContextMenu) {
var menuItems = contentAreaContextMenu.querySelector('menuitem');
[].forEach.call(menuItems, function(item) {
if (item.getAttribute('label') == myLabelText) {
myMenuItem = item;
}
});
contentAreaContextMenu.removeChild(myMenuItem);
if (contentAreaContextMenu.childNodes.length >= positionToInsertMenu) { //position is greater then number of childNodes so append to end
contentAreaContextMenu.appendChild(myMenuItem);
} else {
contentAreaContextMenu.insertBefore(myMenuItem, contentAreaContextMenu.childNodes[thePosition]);
}
}
},
unloadFromWindow: function (aDOMWindow, aXULWindow) {
if (!aDOMWindow) {
return;
}
var myMenuItem = aDOMWindow.document.getElementById('myMenuItem');
if (myMenuItem) {
myMenuItem.parentNode.removeChild(myMenuItem);
}
}
};
windowListener.register();
on unload of your addon add this:
windowListener.unregister();
i copied pasted from a template and modded it real fast. for position to be accurate you probably have to consider which menuitems are hidden and which are not

Firefox SDK: How to make trigger for certain domain

I need to catch requests on sites with URLs *.net and take some actions (stop request and put HTML code from disk, but this I can do). How do I catch these requests?
I tried to use progress listeners, but something is wrong:
const STATE_START = Ci.nsIWebProgressListener.STATE_START;
var myListener = {
QueryInterface: XPCOMUtils.generateQI(["nsIWebProgressListener",
"nsISupportsWeakReference"]),
onStateChange: function(aWebProgress, aRequest, aFlag, aStatus) {
if (aFlag & STATE_START) {
// actions
}
}
use nsIHTTPChannel and observer service. copy paste it. however .net can be included in resources like javascript things, if you want to test if its specfically a window you have to check for some load flags of LOAD_INITIAL_DOCUMENT_URI, also will want to chec
Cu.import('resource://gre/modules/Services.jsm');
var httpRequestObserver = {
observe: function (subject, topic, data) {
var httpChannel, requestURL;

return;

httpChannel.cancel(Cr.NS_BINDING_ABORTED);
goodies.contentWindow.location = self.data.url('pages/test.html');

}
