I updated the iPhone 7 OS and now i cant submit my apps in iPhone 7 from my Xcode, constantly failing. How do i fix it?
Before updating my OSX and iPhone 7, all was working but since i updated the OSX and iPhone 7, now Xcode is failing with my stable app which was working before updates.
EDIT: after Xcode update, throwing new warning / build error
You need Xcode 8.3 (just download via App Store). Xcode 8.2.1 is not compatible with iOS 10.3 on your phone.
A few weeks ago I was able to build and test my app on devices just fine using Xcode. Now when I plug in my iOS 9.1 devices XCode is showing "Device Unavailable". iOS 8.x devices still build fine.
I think I know the problem. But I don't know how to fix it.
Xcode was updated to version 7.1 a few days ago. Well sort of. When I launch XCode it says I have version 7.0.1. But when I go to the app store it says I already have the latest version 7.1. So it won't let me update. About the only thing I've tried is rebooting my laptop. What else should I do?
Delete xcode app then download it again.
Try downloading Xcode 7.1 directly from the Apple Developer website at:
https://developer.apple.com/downloads/
I just updated my iMac 2009 to Yosemite and updated to Xcode 6.4 (I haven't used this computer for ~1 year). Everything seems to work fine when i build to the simulator, but if I plug in my iPhone or iPad and try to build to the device I immediately get an error that says "Xcode encountered an error. Could not allocate a resource."
I tried the suggestions here, and a bunch of variations on it, but nothing fixed it for me: Xcode error when running on device: "Could not allocate a resource"
Update:
I'm using an iPhone 5 on iOS 8.4 and iPad Air on 8.3. The alert is a pop-down thing in Xcode. Here's a screenshot.
I should add that running the same code+same version of Xcode+same devices on my laptop (rMBP 2013) works fine
I'm trying to run a very simple (Hello World-ish) Fire Monkey app to an iOS Simulator (Mac Mini) from Delphi-XE7 (Windows 7).
When I do this I get a "Class linkage error", and a Trouble shooting window that contains the same text as this link.
Working through this:
I've verified that my connection profile is set up
And that it's able to talk to the Platform Assistant server (/w a Passwordl.
I've verified this by turning it off and using the Test Connection button to see that it fails when it is off and works when it is on.
I've added the SDK Manager for iOS Simulator (iPhoneSimulator 8.3)
I've added the SDK Manager for iOS Device (iPhoneOS 8.3)
I've get Xcode (6.3) started on the MAC.
I've got iOS Simulator already started
What have I missed?
I'll note that I don't see Phone Simulators for iOS 7.1, 8.1, or 8.2 even though they are installed for Xcode when I add the SDK Managers - I'm wondering if that is at all related.
There is a known issue with deploying iOS 8 code from Delphi XE7. Actually, it seems to be more to do with the version of Xcode (as of 2015-04-22 the latest version is 6.3).
The latest version of XCode that works with Delphi XE7 is 5.1.1. Downgrading from Xcode 6.3 to Xcode 5.1.1 has solved my issues. Delphi had other cryptic issues with Xcode 6.0.1 and above.
I'll note that the latest version of iOS that Xcode 5.1.1 capable deploying is 7.1, which is also the oldest version (as of 2015-04-22) that the AppStore will support. However, the App store will not support any new application in 7.1. So your path is to move to XE8 and I presume they've fixed the problems talking to XCode 6.x there.
I tried to run my iOS app on iPhone 5 using Xcode, but when I connected it, the iPhone didn't show up in the top-left selection pane. And also when I ran the app from within Xcode, the error: Xcode cannot run using the selected device error occurred.
After that, I found that my iPhone was not even found in the organizer; it was there previously. However, after upgrading my OS X to Yosemite beta and iPhone to iOS8 (officially released version of iOS 8), everything doesn't work any more...
The last time I was able to run my apps on iPhone is 5 months ago, so I'm not sure when there's something wrong occurred during the period...
I cleaned and rebuilt the app, and restarted Xcode, but nothing worked.
I also confirmed that I use Default compiler in Build Options's compiler settings.
So what am I missing?
I had same problem. Problem is that your xcode is running on v.5 and there is no option to choose iOS 8 as device system. Try to update your xcode over appstore to v.6
