Link 2 different excel files - hyperlink

I got an Excel file name File A with 8 different worksheets. How do I link all data from File A to a brand new File B? Any changes to File A will automatically update File B. Please advise.

This is easy as you are only requiring updates in File B from File A, rather than in both directions. Since a complete clone would probably be easiest with just a Save (of File A as File B) I am assuming you only require this for a limited number of cells. Copy a cell from File A into the desired location in File B and paste the Clipboard content with Paste Special Paste Link.
The values however may be out of synchronisation unless both files are open at the same time in the same Excel instance.

How to allow users to Upload local file, Edit in sheets, and Write back to local file

I'm investigating if it's possible for a user to: Pick a file on disk, automatically upload it to Google Sheets, do some edits, and write the changes back to the file.
I basically want to use Google Sheets as the Editor of the local file.
Has anyone tried something like this, or can confirm if it's a feasible idea?
My rough idea:
Install a script or program, that a user (on our team) can execute with the appropriate file they pick.
Typically they right-click a file and pick "Open with MyGoogleSheetsCreate".
The ToSheets-script does the following:
Generates a temporary Spreadsheet on the user's Google Drive (or possibly a Team Drive/Folder for temp files)
Reads the custom data in the local file and enters it into the Spreadsheet.
Opens a Browser window with the generated spreadsheet.
The user makes some changes to the spreadsheet.
The user exports the changes back to the file.
User initiates this how? Some ideas:
Perferably: I build a button or menu option to "Export back to Local Disk". This would only be viable if we could explicitly say where to save this custom file, i.e. where it came from.
Optionally: They right-click the original file and pick "Open with MyGoogleSheetsRetrieve". The importer would need to know the address of the Google Sheet the local file was last exported to.
FromSheets-Script converts the Spreadsheet into our custom data format and overwrites the old file.
Bonus: The temporary Google Sheet would be automatically moved to the Bin within a couple of days (without user interaction).
I think I've got a good idea of how to convert our custom format to Sheets and vice versa. The steps I'm most unsure of are: 3.1 and 5.1

Using .zip files with Forge Design Automation for AutoCAD

I have a zip file containing several file types (.dwg,.xlsx,.pdf). If I specify a .zip file as input, I've noticed they're all accepted by Forge, but only .dwg's come back out. Is there anyway I can fix this?
Save your results to specific folder and finally create zip file.
ZipFile.CreateFromDirectory(CurrentDirectory + "\\Result", CurrentDirectory + "\\Result.zip");
This zip file set as result of your WorkItem.
Thanks to everyone who replied,
Ultimately, I create a project folder structure all my files are unzipped into (dwgs, pdfs, xlsx),beneath the working folder. My localname for both my input and result are identical in both the Activity and the Workitem. I recall Augusto telling me not to do this, but I have yet to run into an issue with it. In the end, my files get cycled in AutoCAD Core and saved to same location. DA zips the changed files and sends them to my endpoint. I took this approach, because if I save to changed files into a results folder, my modified dwg files and non-dwg files are now in two separate, adjacent locations. If there's a side affect of working with files in a single location, I'd like to know what it is.

SPSS indicates that the .sav file is empty. Is there any way to recover the file from the Temp folder?

I was just finishing my work. Had been working on this for 1 month, more than 100 questionnaires' data to enter on the database, there were only 3 left. My computer crashed, I turned it off and after I turned it on again, I opened SPSS and coudln't open the .sav file because of an error saying the file is empty (although its size is 68kb) and to try to open another file. I tried to recover the data through the journal file, through syntaxe, but I can't. Is there any way to recover the file from the Temp folder? I noticed that in the Temp folder there are some folders named like this: "pasw-cfe-1324076806484081348-tmp" which contain executable jar files inside. There are also some LCK files with the same names as those folders. After searching about PASW, I got the idea that it may be related to SPSS. Is there any way to open these folders/files? Also, I can send the file to anyone, in case this is needed.
Any help you can offer me will be truly appreciated. Thanks
Unfortunately, no there is no way to convert those temporary scratch file back into an SPSS Statistics system file (.sav). If you do not have backups of the file, perhaps in another format (.sav, *.xlsx, *.csv, etc.) or stored as a table in a database, your only recourse will be to start over.
I have an idea, you can do "system Restore"

Making my own container file type

I would like to create a file type with a personal extension by combining two other file types, like .mp3 and .pdf.
Later I need to re-open the custom files I've made and be able to use the included files in my app.
How do I do that on iOS?
One option is to append the data of the two files together. Include a few bytes of data at the start that tell you the size of each and maybe their original filenames. Then when you want to recreate the two files from the one custom one, you read your header to get the sizes and names, then use that info to recreate the original files.
Another option would be to zip the two files together. Just give the zip file your own custom extension.
Another option would be to use an NSFileWrapper. Include the two regular files in the wrapper.

Download Directory and Contents

Is it possible to persuade the stream result to download an entire directory and it's contents? And if so, how? I've no problem getting it to download individual files, but I have a need to download a series of files that must be in a specific directory structure.
I don't think so.
Stream result allow you to download ONE content, with its MIME type, its name, etc.
This makes it impossible to work with a lot of files, with different names and content type.
What you can do is:
Render in a JSP the list of files (in anchor tags for example), everyone targeting the Action that will download that single file;
Call multiple Actions via scripting opening multiple pages (target="_blank") for every file you have (dangerous, annoying, almost useless...);
Create a zip with Java in server side, containing all your files and directories, then output the zip with Stream result.
I think you may consider the third option.
