I have published an iOS app in iTunes Store and it is in live now. Somehow i want to change the name as that i specified in the screenshot below. I can't find the By xxxx detail in iTunes App information page.
Thanks in advance and can anyone provide suggestion to change it's name. I also want to know do we need to upload new binary build to change app's information including screenshot, app name etc.,
I am not sure but if you want to change the "APP PROVIDER" name you need to contact the apple support.

If you just need to change your name you can open a Ticket through the link: https://developer.apple.com/contact/submit.php
I changed my surname in the account display. They will ask you some proof documents such as ID. It take some days to completely fix.
But if you need to transfer you app to another account you can follow this guide.

It seems Apple has made a change to how App Store links work and I can't find the new format.
To be clear I am looking for the new format that links to a specific app in any country's App Store. If you go to the Instagram product page, select to share the app, and choose to copy the link or go to iTC and copy the 'View in App Store' link you will get https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/instagram/id389801252?mt=8.
This link will only work in the country in which you copied the link. This means if you are in the US folks in Europe won't be able to use the link.
In the past you could just add your app name to the end of https://itunes.com/apps/ (for Instagram it would be https://itunes.com/apps/instagram). This no longer works as it opens the iTunes store rather than the App Store.
I've checked the 'What's New in App Store Connect' video from WWDC 2018 and there was no mention of any new format and using Google keeps giving me results around deep links which is not what I'm looking for.
Does anyone know if this is still possible to do, and if so, what the format is? Or perhaps I have found a bug with the transition from iTunesConnect to AppStoreConnect??
Recently news are coming out that one can create vanity url for Apple Appstore.
But I cant find any options additionally added in itunes connect to do it.
any help is appreciated :)
It seems we dont have to do anything ...
just we have to add the company name or app name at the end of http://appstore.com/
It seems since all the app names and company names are already unique, apple does the all background job of rerouting the appstore-link to the actual itunes-link..
iOS: http://appstore.com/<.companyname.> for example, http://appstore.com/ikural
Mac: http://appstore.com/mac/<.companyname.> for example, http://appstore.com/mac/popcap
apple has provided this Q&A page
You don't create it. It is based on your company or application name. It is not very robust (two applications with the same name can have the same URL). See Apple's Technical Q&A.
In particular, the last paragraph reads:
These App Store Short Links are provided as a convenience and are not
guaranteed to link to a particular app or company. Be sure to test
your URLs before using them in any marketing or other public
materials. If there are naming conflicts, continue using the standard
itunes.apple.com URLs, which contain a unique numerical identifier
within the URL.
Now My app was update to version 1.4, So can't find my app's version 1.0 states on itunesconnect.
Now I really need my version 1.0's detail such as app create date or sth....
Does any one can help me?
In case anybody wonders how services like sensortower get this data:
Unfortunately there is no API for this. The iTunes App Page seems to get this info out of the versionHistory array deep inside its.serverData.
For the response to include this, the request needs these HTTP headers:
X-Apple-Store-Front : 143445-2,32
apple-originating-system : MZStore
Here link with sample request and response: https://gist.github.com/catlan/30b2e87dedb00733e4e223e60fd08c63
Notes about X-Apple-Store-Front:
iTunes: 143445-2,32
Mac App Store: 143445-2,13
Volume Purchase Programme for Business: 143445-2,14
Volume Purchase Programme for Education: 143445-2,11
JSON: 143445-2,20
This should also answer the (closed?) questions: App Store API for release notes / updates and How to access complete version history of iOS App
Any app's version history is now available in the iTunes application on the app's page, under Version History.
You could use a service like Sensortower.
It regularly lists charecteristics of every app, so you can take those infos from there.
This might be especially interesting, if you're looking for infos of a third party app, where you don't have the possibility, to log-in to the apple dev center or the like for detailed infos about your app.
E.g. details for Evernote: https://sensortower.com/ios/de/evernote/app/evernote/281796108
Actually you can via a Chinese site xinyou.com.
Search by app name in the top search box, then on the app page, scroll down on the right, you'll see the update history listed by dates.
Click on the version number (any of them) to see the history notes.
That said, I am not sure evry app is there and am still looking for an English site equivalent, and some of the version updates show up in Chinese (these may be actual Chinese updates as I only see them on the really popular international apps (i.e. Evernote).
Hope this helps and hope someone has a better localsite option.
I want to open iTunes with list of all the apps by a particular developer or company and in this very case my own applicaitons.
The problem is I don't know how should the URL string be
itms://itunes.com/apps/xxxx
what should I replace this xxx with ? and where would I find this text. Is it the company name? If so, should I look for it in developer account's profile info.
What else could be used? I heard there is some artistId or something like that. If so, how do I find it?
Well if you know the developer or company that you're looking for beforehand, you can use Apple's iTunes Link Maker web utility to generate links for the appstore (or any store really). You just put the developer's / company name in 'Search' field and set 'Media Type' to iOS Apps (or whatever you need). After the search is completed click on the appropriate result link under 'Artists' and you'll be presented with a sheet containing a link like this:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/vasileios-akoinoglou/id339374807?uo=4
Note that you can safely replace http:// with itms:// so to avoid a redirection (if you use http then the link is first opened in Safari and then in Appstore).
As I can see from the link the components after artist is the developer / company name (whitespaces are replaced by dashes) and the id I think is the enrollment id (edit: it's not). I hope that this will be useful to you.
The iTunes lookup API will also help in this case - simply replace the adamID for any app in the following URL:
http://itunes.apple.com/lookup?id=524731580
In the results, look for the artistViewUrl to determine the best URL to link to all apps developed by this Seller
Your URL should be in this format for the AppStore app to open it on iOS:
http://ax.search.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSearch.woa/wa/search?media=software&term=ideal%20development%20aps
This basically performs a search on a term in the appstore. it is the only bulletproof solution we have found, but it might be problematic if your developer name accidentally matches another developer or product. Also note that sometimes the search fails, in which case the AppStore app needs to be closed completely.
I'm building an "About" controller for my iPhone app. I've see other apps successfully include a "rate in market" link to within their "About" controllers.
Is it possible for me to predict what my link would be, so I can hard-code it in the first release of the app, rather than uploading/figuring out the link/releasing the update?
For example an android app market link may look like :
https://market.android.com/details?id=[package name]
for Android, there's an action view with a market URL that may be opened to link right to the app.
Is there a corresponding action within iOS? I want the customer to be able to navigate to the app's page on the app store from my "About" controller.
Check out the iTunes link maker. It looks like the generic form is:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/[APPNAME]/id[APP_ID]
Some examples:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/myapp/id427813331?mt=8&uo=4
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hot-radar/id308361196?mt=8&uo=4
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/lightshow-!/id380886382?mt=8&uo=4
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/disney-world-park-maps-by/id392534629?mt=8&uo=4
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/universal-park-maps-orlando/id392535133?mt=8&uo=4
I think APP_ID refers to the iTunes Connect App ID for your product. So if you have that, and the name, your good to go!
Also when you create an app in iTunes Connect you have link View this app in app store there which you can use directly even if it is not published or sent to apple, so as soon as you create it with basic info you will have link there which you can copy.
By now Apple has introduced short-links via the appstore.com domain:
Q: How can I create easy-to-read short links to the App Store for my apps and company?
iOS: http://appstore.com/<appname> for example, http://appstore.com/keynote
See Technical Q&A QA1633 for the full description of the possibilities.
