AFNetworking Json post image - ios

I studied with objective C programming . I don't know how to post image from the library to the api json (I took the picture from library use UIImagePickerController) . Thanks!
My json api:
http://i.stack.imgur.com/DLKZG.png
- (IBAction)btnAddBook:(id)sender {
AFHTTPRequestOperationManager *manager = [[AFHTTPRequestOperationManager alloc] initWithBaseURL:[NSURL URLWithString:#"http://192.168.1.54"]];
NSData *imageData = UIImageJPEGRepresentation(self.ivPickedImage.image, 1);
NSMutableDictionary *params = [[NSMutableDictionary alloc]init];
[params setValue:self.tfTitle.text forKey:#"title"];
[params setValue:self.tfPrice.text forKey:#"price"];
[params setValue:self.tfProem.text forKey:#"proem"];
[params setValue:#"Vietnamese" forKey:#"language"];
AFHTTPRequestOperation *op = [manager POST:#"/api/books" parameters:params constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileData:imageData name:#"file" fileName:#"photo.jpg" mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
} success:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, id responseObject) {
NSLog(#"Success: %# ***** %#", operation.responseString, responseObject);
} failure:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, NSError *error) {
NSLog(#"Error: %# ***** %#", operation.responseString, error);
}];
[op start];

Please use this below code:
NSDictionary *requestDictionary = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys:abc.text, #"firstkey",xyz.text, #"secondkey" nil];
NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[AFHTTPRequestSerializer serializer] multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" URLString:#"YOUR API URL" parameters:requestDictionary constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData)
{ [formData appendPartWithFileData:imageData name:#"profile_pic" fileName:#"photo.jpg" mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
}
} error:nil];
AFURLSessionManager *manager = [[AFURLSessionManager alloc] initWithSessionConfiguration:[NSURLSessionConfiguration defaultSessionConfiguration]];
NSProgress *progress = nil;
NSURLSessionUploadTask *uploadTask = [manager uploadTaskWithStreamedRequest:request progress:&progress completionHandler:^(NSURLResponse *response, id responseObject, NSError *error) {
NSLog(#"%#", response);
if (error) {
} else {
}
}];
[uploadTask resume];
Hope this helps.

By using AFNetworking multipart request. you can post image as data. here are the completed block of how to post image as multipart using AFNetworking
NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[AFHTTPRequestSerializer serializer] multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" URLString:#"http://example.com/upload" parameters:nil constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:#"file://path/to/image.jpg"] name:#"file" fileName:#"filename.jpg" mimeType:#"image/jpeg" error:nil];
} error:nil];
AFURLSessionManager *manager = [[AFURLSessionManager alloc] initWithSessionConfiguration:[NSURLSessionConfiguration defaultSessionConfiguration]];
NSURLSessionUploadTask *uploadTask;
uploadTask = [manager
uploadTaskWithStreamedRequest:request
progress:^(NSProgress * _Nonnull uploadProgress) {
// This is not called back on the main queue.
// You are responsible for dispatching to the main queue for UI updates
dispatch_async(dispatch_get_main_queue(), ^{
//Update the progress view
[progressView setProgress:uploadProgress.fractionCompleted];
});
}
completionHandler:^(NSURLResponse * _Nonnull response, id _Nullable responseObject, NSError * _Nullable error) {
if (error) {
NSLog(#"Error: %#", error);
} else {
NSLog(#"%# %#", response, responseObject);
}
}];
[uploadTask resume];
AFNetworking
Here your image is not passed as JSON. By using AFNetworking multipart request, all your request parameter passed as JSON and Image/Video that passed as NSData. where NSData is divided in multiple packets.

Upload Multiple Images using AFNetworking in IOS

I know its asked many times. But i'm facing some problem that i want to send multiple images to the server. The scenario is that , i have used a custom third party library for the selection of multiple images. After user select the images , the images comes in an array. The array are of two types, 1st array carries the name of images which user select no matters how many images he/she select and 2nd is the file path array of images , that array contains the array paths. I have three parameters while POST request 1st is name in which images name array comes, 2nd is ID in which id is pass to which these images are sent and third is images in which the images are. In my code i have used AFHTTPRequestOperationManager but i'm getting error on the header fie that this class had no header file in AFNetworkk folder which i used in my project. My code is this,
-(void)Images{
AFHTTPRequestOperationManager *manager = [[AFHTTPRequestOperationManager alloc] initWithBaseURL:[NSURL URLWithString:#"My URL"]];
int i=0;
for(UIImage *eachImage in _arrai)
{
NSData *imageData = UIImagePNGRepresentation([UIImage imageNamed:#"mainImage"]);
[formData appendPartWithFileData:imageData name:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"file%d",i ] fileName:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"file%d.jpg",i ] mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
i++;
}
NSDictionary *parameters = #{#"name":_arrainame, #"property_id" : Propid, #"image" : _arrai};
AFHTTPRequestOperation *op = [manager POST:#"mainImage" parameters:parameters constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
//do not put image inside parameters dictionary as I did, but append it!
[formData appendPartWithFileData:imageData name:#"userfile" fileName:#"cat1.png" mimeType:#"image/png"];
} success:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, id responseObject) {
NSLog(#"Success: %# ***** %#", operation.responseString, responseObject);
} failure:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation operation, NSError error) {
NSLog(#"Error: %# ***** %#", operation.responseString, error);
}];
[op start];
}
NSDictionary *parameters = #{#"name":_arrainame, #"property_id" : Propid};
NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[AFHTTPRequestSerializer serializer] multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" URLString:#"http://example.com/upload" parameters:parameters constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {

[formData appendPartWithFileURL:fileURL name:#"imageParamter" fileName:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"file%d.jpg",i ] mimeType:#"image/jpeg" error:nil];
i++;
}
} error:nil];
AFURLSessionManager *manager = [[AFURLSessionManager alloc] initWithSessionConfiguration:[NSURLSessionConfiguration defaultSessionConfiguration]];
NSURLSessionUploadTask *uploadTask;
uploadTask = [manager
uploadTaskWithStreamedRequest:request

NSLog(#"Error: %#", error);
} else {
NSLog(#"%# %#", response, responseObject);
}

[uploadTask resume];
Try this

Unable to save picture in SignUp POST request with Afnetworking

I am trying to upload a picture on server with Multiparts using AFNetworking. I have tried to make a simple POST request without Image and it works fine. Now, can say that service URL is absolutely fine and there is no issue with server and I can see that image URL that is saved in document directory is also fine and all the other parameters are fine too, because they all are working with simple request. Can anyone find some error in my code? My Code is:
(void)uploadPicture:(NSMutableDictionary *)param
{
NSString *string=[NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#%#",base_url,#"register"];
NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[AFHTTPRequestSerializer serializer] multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" URLString:string parameters:param constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:getImagePath] name:#"picture" fileName:getImagePath mimeType:#"image/jpeg" error:nil];
} error:nil];
AFURLSessionManager *manager = [[AFURLSessionManager alloc] initWithSessionConfiguration:[NSURLSessionConfiguration defaultSessionConfiguration]];
AFJSONRequestSerializer *serializer = [AFJSONRequestSerializer serializer];
[serializer setStringEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding];
NSURLSessionUploadTask *uploadTask;
uploadTask = [manager
uploadTaskWithStreamedRequest:request
progress:^(NSProgress * _Nonnull uploadProgress) {
// This is not called back on the main queue.
// You are responsible for dispatching to the main queue for UI updates
dispatch_async(dispatch_get_main_queue(), ^{

NSDictionary *dict= [NSJSONSerialization JSONObjectWithData:responseObject options:NSJSONReadingMutableContainers error:nil];
NSDictionary *dic=responseObject;

Try this function :
First Solution
Note : You need to customise as per your need
-(void)getResponeseWithURL:(NSString *)url WithParameter:(NSDictionary *)parameter WithImage:(UIImage *)image ImageArray:(NSMutableArray *)arrImage WithImageParameterName:(NSString *)imagename WithCallback:(void(^)(BOOL success, id responseObject))callback {

else if (arrImage){
int i = 1;
for (UIImage *recipeimage in arrImage) {
// this condition for maintain server side coloum format : ex name , name_2 , name_3
[formData appendPartWithFileData:UIImageJPEGRepresentation(recipeimage, 0.8) name:i == 1 ? imagename : [NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#_%d",imagename,i] fileName:#"Image.jpg" mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];

manager.responseSerializer = [AFJSONResponseSerializer serializer];
NSURLSessionUploadTask *uploadTask;
uploadTask = [manager

Second
May you have forgot to add ATS in your project plist file so you need to add this .
<key>NSAppTransportSecurity</key>
<dict>
<key>NSAllowsArbitraryLoads</key>
<true/>
</dict>
NSString *string=[NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#%#",base_url,#"register"];
#autoreleasepool {
AFHTTPSessionManager *manager = [AFHTTPSessionManager manager];
[manager POST:strurl
parameters:parameters
constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> _Nonnull formData) {
NSMutableArray *allKeys = [[imgParameters allKeys] mutableCopy];
for (NSString *key in allKeys) {
id object = [imgParameters objectForKey:key];
int timestamp = [[NSDate date] timeIntervalSince1970];
NSString *str = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:#"%d", timestamp];
NSString *ranstrin = [self randomStringWithLength:8];
// if ([key isEqualToString:#"image"]) {
str = [NSString stringWithFormat:#"TestThumb_%d_%#.jpg",
timestamp, ranstrin];
[formData appendPartWithFileData:object
name:key
fileName:str
mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
}
}
progress:^(NSProgress *_Nonnull uploadProgress) {
}
success:^(NSURLSessionDataTask *_Nonnull task,
id _Nullable responseObject) {
complete(responseObject, nil);
}
failure:^(NSURLSessionDataTask *_Nullable task,
NSError *_Nonnull error) {
complete(nil, error);
}];

upload audio with afnetworking?

Can anyone tell me how to upload audio files with the help of AFNetworking on a server in iOS? Is this ok?
AFHTTPRequestOperationManager *manager = [AFHTTPRequestOperationManager manager];
[manager POST:urlString parameters:nil constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileData:imageData
name:#"files"
fileName:audio mimeType:#"mp3"];
[formData appendPartWithFormData:[key1 dataUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]
name:#"key1"];
[formData appendPartWithFormData:[key2 dataUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]
name:#"key2"];
// etc.
} success:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, id responseObject) {
NSLog(#"Response: %#", responseObject);
} failure:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, NSError *error) {
NSLog(#"Error: %#", error);
}];
You can use AFURLSessionManager to make an upload task, here's the way:
NSURLSessionConfiguration *configuration = [NSURLSessionConfiguration defaultSessionConfiguration];
AFURLSessionManager *manager = [[AFURLSessionManager alloc] initWithSessionConfiguration:configuration];
NSURL *URL = [NSURL URLWithString:#"http://example.com/upload"];
NSURLRequest *request = [NSURLRequest requestWithURL:URL];
NSURL *filePath = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:#"file://path/to/image.png"];
NSURLSessionUploadTask *uploadTask = [manager uploadTaskWithRequest:request fromFile:filePath progress:nil completionHandler:^(NSURLResponse *response, id responseObject, NSError *error) {
if (error) {
NSLog(#"Error: %#", error);
} else {
NSLog(#"Success: %# %#", response, responseObject);
}
}];
[uploadTask resume];

AFNetworking 2.0 track file upload progress

I am relatively new to AFNetworking 2.0. Using the code snippet below, I've been able to successfully upload a photo to my url. I would like to track the incremental upload progress, but I cannot find an example of doing this with version 2.0. My application is iOS 7, so I've opted for AFHTTPSessionManager.
Can anyone offer an example of how to modify this snippet to track upload progress?
AFHTTPSessionManager *manager = [AFHTTPSessionManager manager];
NSData *imageData = UIImageJPEGRepresentation([UIImage imageNamed:#"myimage.jpg"], 1.0);
[manager POST:#"http://myurl.com" parameters:dataToPost constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileData:imageData name:#"attachment" fileName:#"myimage.jpg" mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
} success:^(NSURLSessionDataTask *task, id responseObject) {
NSLog(#"Success %#", responseObject);
} failure:^(NSURLSessionDataTask *task, NSError *error) {
NSLog(#"Failure %#, %#", error, [task.response description]);
}];
The interface of AFHTTPSession doesn't provide a method to set a progress block. Instead, you'll have to do the following:
// 1. Create `AFHTTPRequestSerializer` which will create your request.
AFHTTPRequestSerializer *serializer = [AFHTTPRequestSerializer serializer];
// 2. Create an `NSMutableURLRequest`.
NSMutableURLRequest *request =
[serializer multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" URLString:#"http://www.myurl.com"
parameters:dataToPost
constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileData:imageData
name:#"attachment"
fileName:#"myimage.jpg"
mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
}];
// 3. Create and use `AFHTTPRequestOperationManager` to create an `AFHTTPRequestOperation` from the `NSMutableURLRequest` that we just created.
AFHTTPRequestOperationManager *manager = [AFHTTPRequestOperationManager manager];
AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation =
[manager HTTPRequestOperationWithRequest:request
success:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, id responseObject) {
NSLog(#"Success %#", responseObject);
} failure:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, NSError *error) {
NSLog(#"Failure %#", error.description);
}];
// 4. Set the progress block of the operation.
[operation setUploadProgressBlock:^(NSUInteger __unused bytesWritten,
long long totalBytesWritten,
long long totalBytesExpectedToWrite) {
NSLog(#"Wrote %lld/%lld", totalBytesWritten, totalBytesExpectedToWrite);
}];
// 5. Begin!
[operation start];
In addition, you don't have to read the image via UIImage and then compress it again using JPEG to get an NSData. Just use +[NSData dataWithContentsOfFile:] to read the file directly from your bundle.
It's true the interface of AFHTTPSessionManager doesn't provide a method to track the upload progress. But the AFURLSessionManager does.
As a inherited class of AFURLSessionManager AFHTTPSessionManager can track upload progress like this:
NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[AFHTTPRequestSerializer serializer] multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" URLString:kUploadImageURL parameters:nil constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileData:UIImageJPEGRepresentation(image, 0.5) name:#"uploadFile" fileName:#"image" mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
} error:nil];
NSProgress *progress;
NSURLSessionDataTask *uploadTask = [[AFHTTPSessionManager sharedManager] uploadTaskWithStreamedRequest:request progress:&progress completionHandler:^(NSURLResponse *response, id responseObject, NSError *error) {
if (!error) {
//handle upload success
} else {
//handle upload failure
}
}];
[uploadTask resume];
[progress addObserver:self forKeyPath:#"fractionCompleted" options:NSKeyValueObservingOptionNew context:NULL];
outside
- (void)observeValueForKeyPath:(NSString *)keyPath ofObject:(id)object change:(NSDictionary *)change context:(void *)context {
if ([keyPath isEqualToString:#"fractionCompleted"] && [object isKindOfClass:[NSProgress class]]) {
NSProgress *progress = (NSProgress *)object;
//progress.fractionCompleted tells you the percent in CGFloat
}
}
Here is method 2(updated)
use KVO to track progress means self need to be alive during observation. The more elegant way is AFURLSessionManager's method setTaskDidSendBodyDataBlock, like this:
AFHTTPSessionManager *manager = [AFHTTPSessionManager manager];
[manager setTaskDidSendBodyDataBlock:^(NSURLSession *session, NSURLSessionTask *task, int64_t bytesSent, int64_t totalBytesSent, int64_t totalBytesExpectedToSend) {
//during the progress
}];
NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[AFHTTPRequestSerializer serializer] multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" URLString:kUploadImageURL parameters:nil constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileData:UIImageJPEGRepresentation(image, 0.5) name:#"uploadFile" fileName:#"image" mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
} error:nil];
NSURLSessionDataTask *uploadTask = [manager uploadTaskWithStreamedRequest:request progress:&progress completionHandler:^(NSURLResponse *response, id responseObject, NSError *error) {
if (!error) {
//handle upload success
} else {
//handle upload failure
}
}];
[uploadTask resume];

send image along with other parameters with AFNetworking

I am updating an old application code which used ASIHTTPRequest with AFNetworking. In my case, I am sending a bench of data to API, these data are different types: Image and other.
Here is the code I adopt so far, implementing an API client, requesting a shared instance, prepare the params dictionary and send it to remote API:
NSMutableDictionary *params = [NSMutableDictionary dictionary];
[params setValue:#"Some value" forKey:aKey];
[[APIClient sharedInstance]
postPath:#"/post"
parameters:params success:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, id responseObject) {
//some logic
} failure:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, NSError *error) {
//handle error
}];
What would be the case when I want to add an image to the params dictionary?
With ASIHTTPRequest, I used to do the following:
NSData *imgData = UIImagePNGRepresentation(anImage);
NSString *newStr = [anImageName stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString:#"/"
withString:#"_"];
[request addData:imgData
withFileName:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#.png",newStr]
andContentType:#"image/png"
forKey:anOtherKey];
I digged into AFNetworking documentation and found they appending the image in an NSMutableRequest like this:
AFHTTPClient *httpClient = [[AFHTTPClient alloc] initWithBaseURL:url];
NSData *imageData = UIImageJPEGRepresentation([UIImage imageNamed:#"avatar.jpg"], 0.5);
NSMutableURLRequest *request = [httpClient multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" path:#"/upload" parameters:nil constructingBodyWithBlock: ^(id <AFMultipartFormData>formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileData:imageData name:#"avatar" fileName:#"avatar.jpg" mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
}];
How should I mix this together on a neat way to integrate my image data into the APIClient request? Thanx in advance.
I have used same AFNetworking to upload image with some parameter. This code is fine working for me. May be it will help out
NSData *imageToUpload = UIImageJPEGRepresentation(uploadedImgView.image, 1.0);//(uploadedImgView.image);
if (imageToUpload)
{
NSDictionary *parameters = [NSDictionary dictionaryWithObjectsAndKeys:keyParameter, #"keyName", nil];
AFHTTPClient *client= [AFHTTPClient clientWithBaseURL:[NSURL URLWithString:#"http://------"]];
NSMutableURLRequest *request = [client multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" path:#"API name as you have" parameters:parameters constructingBodyWithBlock: ^(id <AFMultipartFormData>formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileData: imageToUpload name:#"image" fileName:#"temp.jpeg" mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
}];
AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation = [[AFHTTPRequestOperation alloc] initWithRequest:request];
[operation setCompletionBlockWithSuccess:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, id responseObject)
{
NSDictionary *jsons = [NSJSONSerialization JSONObjectWithData:responseObject options:kNilOptions error:nil];
//NSLog(#"response: %#",jsons);
}
failure:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, NSError *error)
{
if([operation.response statusCode] == 403)
{
//NSLog(#"Upload Failed");
return;
}
//NSLog(#"error: %#", [operation error]);
}];
[operation start];
}
Good Luck !!
With AFNetworking 2.0.1 this code worked for me.
-(void) saveImage: (NSData *)imageData forImageName: (NSString *) imageName {
AFHTTPRequestOperationManager *manager = [AFHTTPRequestOperationManager manager];
NSString *imagePostUrl = [NSString stringWithFormat:#"%#/v1/image", BASE_URL];
NSDictionary *parameters = #{#"imageName": imageName};
NSMutableURLRequest *request = [[AFHTTPRequestSerializer serializer] multipartFormRequestWithMethod:#"POST" URLString:imagePostUrl parameters:parameters constructingBodyWithBlock:^(id<AFMultipartFormData> formData) {
[formData appendPartWithFileData:imageData name:#"image" fileName:imageName mimeType:#"image/jpeg"];
}];
AFHTTPRequestOperation *op = [manager HTTPRequestOperationWithRequest:request success: ^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, id responseObject) {
DLog(#"response: %#", responseObject);
} failure:^(AFHTTPRequestOperation *operation, NSError *error) {
DLog(#"Error: %#", error);
}];
op.responseSerializer = [AFHTTPResponseSerializer serializer];
[[NSOperationQueue mainQueue] addOperation:op];
}
If JSON response is needed use:
op.responseSerializer = [AFJSONResponseSerializer serializer];
instead of
op.responseSerializer = [AFHTTPResponseSerializer serializer];
