jvPluginSystem not installable in delphi 10 Seattle - delphi

I installed JCL/JVCL in my Delphi 10 Seattle, first from getit, later manually. I cannot install the jvPluginSystem design package. All packages work well but this design package produces an EAccessVialolation in jclDeveloperTools. I double checked for multiple instances of dcu's and bpl's and also tried on a freshly baught Windows 10 Surface pro without any other Delphi versions. Same result. I also checked that unitversioning is off in JCL and JVCL and did a complete build of the packages.
I suspect that it came either with the latest Delphi Update 1 for Seattle or it is a Windows 10 related issue. Did anyone also experience this Problem?
I used Version 3.4.9 Complete Package (including JCL) from Sourceforge.

Delphi XE5 cannot load VirtualTreeView components

I'm using Delphi XE5 and many years I'm using VirtualTreeView components. Now Delphi XE cannot load them. This messages appears:
The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Users\Public\Documents\RAD Studio\12.0\Bpl\VirtualTreesD19.bpl
and
Can't load package C:\Users\Public\Documents\RAD Studio\12.0\Bpl\VirtualTreesD19.bpl. The specific procedure could not be found.
I uninstall VirtualTreeView from Delphi and tried new instalation, but this not worked. Now I'm without VirtualTreeView.
I did no changes in Delphi settings and no install of anything, etc.
This situation appears after Windows 10 updates, but I don't know if it's causes my problem.
Can someone help me with this situation? Thanks.
I think I found out solutions of my problem: The packages VirtualTrees*.bpl are build into standard folder for packages, eg. C:\Users\Public\Documents\RAD Studio\12.0\Bpl or C:\Users\Public\Documents\Embarcadero\Studio\22.0\Bpl. This folders are in system variable "Path" too. The paths of newest version od Delphi are before paths of older version.
I used the same version of VirtualTree, of course in separete folders by version of Delphi, name of built packages are the same and they are in separate folders (see above). But if I check loaded packages, I found that Delphi XE5 had loaded package from path of Delphi 11. Because older version of Delphi cannot works with packages that are built in newer version, I got my excepsion. I don't why Delphi works with packages by this methode, but when I set other path for built package, e.g. .\..\build, then everythink work correctly.

XE3 IDE runtime error 217 at 5009763B in Windows 10

When I try to start delphi XE3 IDE (bds.exe) on my laptop I get "runtime error 217 at 5009763B".
I have recently updated the laptop to Windows 10. This is the first time I tried to run delphi again. So I think it is Windows 10 that is the problem.
I have tried starting with -rfoo, no luck.
The Dutch dealer suggested going to XE8. But not all of my code and not all 3rd party packages are compatible with XE8. So that is no solution either.
The Dutch dealer also told me that some XE3 customers do and some don't have any problems using Windows 10.
Did anybody fix this problem?
I have taken the long way out and installed a clean W10 on my laptop. Now I must reinstall everything I use. I installed XE3 and now it runs ok.

C++ Builder 2009 - IndySystem120.bpl - Entry Point Not Found

I'm using C++ Builder 2009. I have the indy system, core and protocol installed in my environment. Recently, about once a week I get a message of:
Title: bds.exe - Entry Point Not Found
Message: The procedure entry point #Idstack#TIdStack#Make$qqrv could not be located in the dynamic link library IndySystem120.bpl
The solution I've been doing is closing the current project. Rebuild/reinstall the 3 indy projects (core, system, protocol) then everything works fine for about a week.
The troubleshooting steps I've tried so far was searching my system for bpl files related to the Indy system and removing them before doing a clean install (in case there was some sort of pathing issue). I then ran Builder as administrator and installed the components. I thought I solve the problem, but alas I'm having the issue again. Does anyone have thoughts on anything else I can try to solve this more permanently?
The TIdStack.Make() method was removed in Indy 10.5.7 for the RAD Studio XE release. If you have upgraded your installation of Indy 10 and have newer package versions floating around your system, that can interfere with any packages that were compiled to use the original Indy packages that shipped with C++Builder 2009.
So I had the problem for a couple of weeks and had to do several rebuilds of the library. I run the environment through a VM and found that my VM was low on space. I found that by clearing up some space on the drive that the problem went away. I've been working in the environment for over a month now without having to rebuild, where I used to have to do it 1 to 2 times a week.

How can I install my own copy of Indy10 from source, in Delphi XE4, if I get "not a valid win32 application" error?

Using the latest Indy10 sources from subversion, installing in to Delphi XE4,
I get this error when I try to install "dclIndyProtocols180.bpl":
Error:
Can't load package C:\dev\..\comp\Indy10\Lib\Output\BPI\Win32\Debug\dclIndyProtocols180.bpl.
%1 is not a valid Win32 application.
The BPI\Win32\Debug folder in question contains these files:
dclIndyCore180.bpl
dclIndyProtocols180.bpl
IndyCore180.bpi
IndyCore180.bpl
IndyProtocols180.bpi
IndyProtocols180.bpl
IndySystem180.bpi
IndySystem180.bpl
How do I fix or work around this? I am not exactly new to Indy, or Delphi, but each time there's a new delphi release, there are interesting surprises for those of us who prefer to build from source code and track subversion rather than using that random point in time which ships with the Delphi XE4 installer.
As a general side question: Is there any place where the status of the Indy project's subversion code, compared with whatever Embarcadero ships in their products is noted, or recorded?
By default a new package in Delphi might automatically be 64 bit, or you may have built a dependency as a 64 bit BPL, but not have switched to 32 bit for that BPL and rebuilt it.
Also you might have folders in your Library path that allow 32 bit and 64 bit BPls to try to load each other, causing this issue.

fast report class missing after update RAD XE2

I just did the update of RAD XE2 to the latest service pack. I can not compile my application using Fast reports stuff inside. The error at compile says "frxclass.dcu not found".
This seems to be a problem like
FAST REPORT ISSUE
Is this a bug of updateing XE2 or did I do something wrong while executing the update process ?
This problem happens with XE2 and XE3. I have FR professional with source and have done several installations each of which have suffered problems. I believe that it is an incompatibility between the included version of FR and the licenced version. My solution was thorough:
1. Go into control panel and delete any and all installations of FR.
2. Go to the program files folder and manually delete any FR folders.
3. Inside the Delphi IDE go into options, library and locate and delete any reference to fast report paths.
4. Go into the IDE Install Packages option and make sure that there are no references to FR packages.
5. Quit the IDE and now install FR using the supplied installer. When this completes you should be able to fire up the IDE fine without frClass errors.
