Error Enable / disabled Hotspot Virtual Wifi in Windows 10 - wifi

I have a problem when trying to create my connection hostpot vitual wifi on a Dell laptop with Win 10.
Even with some instabilities the ad hoc connection worked by running a script that I ran from a .bat file in the administrator option:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=WifiTeste key=senhateste123
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
But after changing some of ethernet sharing settings on network connections it began to appear the following error:
The hosted network couldn't be started.
The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation.
Redid the command several times, changed the network name and password, and even tried using the Virtual Router Manager program and after extensive research I did not get even succeeded in reconfiguring the wifi hotspot on windows 10.
Most solutions are functional only for Win 7 or 8 and the process of creating a new ad hoc network connection is not available in win 10, or at least I have not found how to do.
An important point is that when the script worked was created a network connection "Wireless Connection LAN * 2", to run the ipconfig / all in cmd it will appear disconnected with state media and in "Control Panel-> Network and Internet-> Network Connections " it is no longer visible.
Solution already evaluated:
Enabling/Disabling Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport

Right click cmd (Run as administrator)
Type netsh wlan show drivers (this is important).
Now you can see your wifi driver details. Note these lines:
FIPS 140-2 MODE SUPPORTED : No
802.11W Management Frame Protection supported : No
Hosted network supported : Yes
If the first two lines are not supported you cannot use adhoc or Hotspot Pro. They should be: Yes.
Now open Network and Sharing Center -> Change Adapter Settings -> right click your wireless connection -> click Properties -> select Sharing Tab. Check both of the items Allow other network users to connect... and select your "Wireless Connection" and check Allow other network users to control...
Now restart your computer. Follow the steps 1 & 2
Now you can see the first two lines should be "Yes"
If it is "Yes" type next command.
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=WifiTeste key=senhateste123
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
Now you can see "hostednetwork started" message will appear.
Note: If you want to connect your mobile device, put your ssid and password and wait for one minute. Otherwise it will say "internet not available".
Thanks.

The solution is simple here. If the above solutions doesn't work, then do the following:
a) Right click on MyPC/MyComputer
b) Click on 'View' menu and select 'Show Hidden Devices'
c) Check for disabled virtual adapter under 'Network adapters' and enable it.

I have done all these steps and it started working for Windows 10.
1) Download Microsoft Virtual wifi adapter ( Link : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52425 ). Search in google if link expires.
2) Press Windows Key + X > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Select Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #2 ( or something similar with the term wifi on it ) > Uninstall device ( feel free to do this. It reinstalls automatically later ) > Reboot > It should work.
P.S. : Please note mine is working even when Hosted network supported is set at No.

Setup Xcode Server on Remote System using ip address or other alternative

I want to setup Xcode Server on single system (Mac Mini) and other team members will access that server for CI and CD.
I have successfully implemented on each system individually but i want to make it centralised. It may be a dedicated System or one of the team member's Mac Mini.
You can setup multiple Xcode Servers using the "Accounts" tab in the Xcode preferences:
Xcode Menu > Preferences
Navigate to the "Accounts" tab
Click the "+" button
Select "Xcode Server"
Enter the information for the shared server.
Xcode uses several TCP ports outside of HTTPS, including:
20300 and 20343 - 20346.

Got socket error trying to find package english_words at https://pub.dartlang.org

Trying to add a package using the package get option on Android Studio. I'm getting the following error message:
" Got socket error trying to find package english_words at
https://pub.dartlang.org."
Please how can i resolve this?
Quoted from Android Studio's doc:
Android Studio supports HTTP proxy settings so you can run Android Studio behind a firewall or secure network.
You need to fix the Proxy Settings in Android Studio. From Android Studio's Documentation Site, I am Sharing the process.
From the menu bar, click File > Settings (on a Mac, click Android Studio > Preferences).
In the left pane, click Appearance & Behavior > System Settings > HTTP Proxy. The HTTP Proxy page appears.
Select Auto-detect proxy settings to use an automatic proxy configuration URL for the proxy settings or Manual proxy configuration to enter each of the settings yourself.
Click Apply or OK for your changes to take effect.
I hope it helps. Thanks.
Like #SouravOni's answer suggests, this is definitely a network issue. The Dartlang server obviously has issues with restricting certain countries.
The fastest way to solve this is by connecting via a VPN. In my case, I use a Kaspersky Antivirus that comes with a VPN , all I had to do was change my location to United Kingdom and then it works
One way to test if this is a connection issue that needs VPN is to visit pub.dartlang.org, if it doesn't go through, then try a VPN

React-Native: how to use "Remote JS Debugger" on real iOS-device?

I'm wondering if react-native's Remote Debugger mode would be possible also on real device. But it stops me with an error page stating
"Connecting to http://localhost:8081/debugger-proxy?role=client timed
out"
The interesting fact here is that this URL won't also work on my developer machine.
Opening this URL (http://localhost:8081/debugger-proxy?role=client) in a browser on my developer machine with running packager.js will respond with:
Cannot GET /debugger-proxy?role=client
When I turn off Remote debugger, everything works as expected.
Steps to reproduce:
react-native init testapp
cd testapp/ios
open the .xcodeproj-File with XCode
Select my connected iPhone as target device
Run the application
The application will fetch the source code from my local machine. In order to make this work, both, the iPhone-device and my iMac, are connected to the same WiFi.
The ReactNative-Application is executed on the iPhone as expected. With the shake-gesture I spawn the developer menu and select the option "Debug JS Remotely".
Now this error appears as mentioned above.
Following a side note in running-on-real device I changed the Host from localhost to the IP-Address of my Mac in RCTWebSocketExecutor.m, but this results in an endlos loop while fetching.
The Question is:
How can I use the Remote JS Debugging-Feature on real device?
Update
After further investigation I came to the conclusion that this might be a bug and opened the following issue on GitHub.
In chrome browser, I have changed
localhost:19001/debugger-ui
to
192.168.0.4:19001/debugger-ui
and it worked. Replace 192.168.0.4 with your ip address.
We had a similar issue here in 2020 and now there is a better solution which is to update the IP of the target machine directly from the app. Be on the same wifi with both the computer and the device - even if they are connected with a USB.
Shake the phone to get the menu
Select Configure Bundler
Insert the IP of the computer
Press Apply Changes
Now you should get debug data on the computer.
On iOS devices, open the file RCTWebSocketExecutor.m from react-native/Libraries/WebSocket/RCTWebSocketExecutor.m and change "localhost" to the IP address of your computer, (don't forget the correct port. eg: 192.168.1.6::8880) then select "Debug JS Remotely" from the Developer Menu.
NOTE: remove the app from your device, close the terminal that opened
for creating bundle.js. finally press the Play button from your Xcode.
here is the official guide from react-native website:

Delphi with multi printer

I have application needs to print on 3 printers
i save the printers names in a txt file
the problem is when the user disconnect and reconnect the printer ( usb printer )
it takes anew name or anther name and the printing get mixed up.
how i select the printer if the name changed ?
I have had the same issue with USB cameras. They also tend to just create another instance/entry for the device under windows with an appended number (example: Epson Blah Blah #1) as soon as the device is moved to another USB port.
The answer most probably lies in the Device Descriptors. More specifically the HardwareID of the device.
For a quick way to see a device's HardwareID go to Control Panel > Device Manager (if Win7 or above) then right-click on the device whether it be a USB Flashdrive or USB Camera. Click on properties and goto the "Details" tab. Change the "Property" value to "Hardware Ids". You will see the HardwareIDs
You can find more information on that here:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff539283%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
and:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/jj649944%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
The latter talks about the registry keys where you can also find the information of a device. The key would be:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceClasses\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\\\Device Parameters
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB
So if you can link HardwareIDs to a printer then you would be able to enumerate installed printers to compare with then select the one you want. So you will install a printer initially and let your application select that printer and save its HardwareID. Then everytime devices change on the PC you can just get the one that correlates to the initially installed printer.
I have not tested this as I am currently without two exactly same devices to make sure both don't have the same Hardware Ids.

Wireshark on a Citrix Client

I'm working on an app which needs to intercept SSL from a Citrix client and write to a log file. We are trying to use Wireshark to log the traffic per this article:
http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX116557
However, I don't know where the certificate file is located on the client machine. Has anyone got this to work, and if so, what was the solution?
Thanks.
You didn't specify what the target operating system was, that's running behind citrix.
However, assuming it's windows based:
In Win7/Server 2008
goto: Control Panel -> Internet options (Maybe internet & network then internet option on win7)
Either way, the dialogue box your looking for is the one that usually appears when you go "tools->options" in internet explorer.
Goto the "Content" tab, then click "Certificates" select the certificate you wish to export, then click "Export" and follow the instructions in the export wizard to save your certificate to disk.
