I have set up push notifications for my app. It's week working great for weeks. I recently upgraded my iPhone 5c, iPhone 5 to iOS 8.4.1 (latest). Since the upgrade push notifications have stopped working. I know push notifications work because I have an iPhone 6 and push notifications work as they should.
I have tried using my iPhone 5s to send a message to another account (iPhone 6). The iPhone 6 does receive the push notification...when I do the opposite, the iPhone 5s does not receive the push notification.
Is anyone experiencing the same issue? I looked online at some apple/parse communities but haven't been able to find a fix.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone else have troubles with silent push notifications on iOS 14 (latest beta). We use silent PNs for some sort of minimal syncing between devices via backend, and it works well on all iOS versions except iOS 14. I wrote "doesn't work properly" because sometimes they do work, but usually they are not delivered to iOS devices (response code from Apple while sending them is 200, means everything is ok).
UPD: seems like it's iOS issue, and also seems like it's fixed in iOS 14.2
I experiencing same issue and this is critical for my app (I use silent pushes while in foreground to deliver messages to user)
I just installed iOS 14.2 beta and silent pushes work ok there (bug fixed). So looks like this is iOS 14.0 bug and apple knows about it and fixed already in beta.
Testing the Push Notifications on my iOS App, these are the results:
iPhone SE (iOS 12) works OK. (Development and Production)
iPhone 5 (iOS 10) is also good.
iPhone 8 (iOS 11). OK on Development but it is not working on Production.
None of the notifications is shown, even silent notifications are not working when the app is installed from App Sotre or TestFlight, but from XCode, with the same Device with the same app version are still working in Debug.
I am using UNUserNotificationCenter, are there any restriction for iOS 11 on Production? What can I have forgotten?
App is not receiving Push Notification message after upgrading my iPhone device to iOS 9.2 and I checked my app is available in Notification Center and disable the "Do Not Distrub" option in my device.
It was working before updating to iOS 9.2 and I have checked stack overflow solutions but still I am facing the same issue.
Please help me to sort out this issue?.
I am facing a problem that I can receive notification normally on iPhone 5s and ios 8.4.1, but I cannot receive it on iPhone 6 (iOS 9.1).
Can you tell me if we need to add a new feature for iOS 9.1 or what it should be the problem?
Sorry that I add this as an answer but I'm not allowed to add comments yet.
I am also using IOS 9.1 as the deployment target and tested my Notifications and they still work.
I think there are two possible reaons why your notification isn't working:
Your code is not correct
You have not allowed the app to send you notifications
If it is the second point you can change it under "Settings>Your-App>Notification>Allow Notifications".
I hope this helps.
I have developed IOS app and it is published in app store. When i am sending push notification from back end (using php script) only iphone5 & iphone5s users are getting the notification. Both of these phones are having IOS 8 installed.
iphone6 & iphone6+ devices not receiving any push notifications, all my devices are having same ios version 'ios8.1.3'. I also updated iphone6+ to ios 8.2 but nothing.
I have tried various things such as resetting the notification dialogue etc.. but nothing has helped so far.
Is there any solution for this problem.
Thanks in advance.
