What are the jquery ui themes? - jquery-ui

Strangely, I can't find any examples of the themes for the JQuery UI. UI Lightness, UI Darkness, Smoothness, Start, Redmond, Sunny, Overcast, Le Frog, etc. are options displayed in the dropdown menu on http://jqueryui.com/download/. I'd like to know if there's a place on the web that defines what these themes are. It would help me choose the most suitable theme for my website.

you can use the theme roller http://jqueryui.com/themeroller/ and select "Gallery", then click any theme you are interested to see how it look.

Material Dialogs manage multiple dialogs z-index

I have an application with multiple Angular Material dialogues opened at the same time with a drag and drop feature. What I want is when I click a modal it should be placed in front, is there a way to do that using Angular Material or at least a CSS trick.
Thank you

Angular material theming

I am new in to the angular material.
I want to change a theme when a user click on one of the two available options:
1] Dark Theme
2] Light Theme
So when user select Dark Theme / Light Theme then it will change component color(mat-card, mat-toolbar, mat-sidenav-container etc.) as well as font color.
For those looking for the solution, check

switching themes on the fly in general and the stackblitz
implementation of the same
here.
Also shows that it works with mat-card as asked in this question.

How can I customize jQuery Mobile themes for buttons?

jQuery Mobile has a fine collection of themes for buttons.
http://jquerymobile.com/test/docs/buttons/buttons-themes.html
However, I want a button with a red gradient in the background. I could just override the CSS for one button's theme directly, but is there way to do this without breaking jQuery Mobile's abstraction barriers?
In other words, can I add my own themes through the interface that jQuery Mobile offers?
Use the ThemeRoller at http://jquerymobile.com/themeroller/index.php
You can import the existing jQuery Mobile theme and then customize it. Note that if you have less than 5 themes, you need to edit the CSS yourself and specify the style for .ui-body-e because the error message uses it.

JQuery UI versus custom jquery widgets

I would like to add tabs and modal window widgets all over my website. Both widgets will vary in appearance depending on the page but functionality will be the same.
I found that JQuery UI provides both tabs and modal widgets. I also found various custom JQuery widgets such as modal window by Eric Martin http://www.ericmmartin.com/projects/simplemodal/ and tab menu by Soh Tanaka http://www.sohtanaka.com/web-design/simple-tabs-w-css-jquery/
I need an expert opinion on whether its better to use JQuery UI or custom JQuery Widgets.
Whichever you prefer. If you're building a website, you can just go with custom plugins. The advantage is that you can pick anything you like, anything that behaves in the exact way you had in mind.
However, if you're building a web application or you need loads of different widgets on a page, it's best to use jQuery UI or some other full widget framework. You can really benefit from the consistency, it will make your life much easier to get those different widgets interact with each other in a logical way, with the least possible coding. All widgets use consistent naming of properties, methods and events, you will spend less time reading the documentation and more time fleshing out your application. You can even use themeroller to make a custom theme to match the rest of your site, none of the widgets will look out-of-place from the rest.

jquery ui icons

I am working with jquery ui and their icons.
My icons looks like this (except I have another theme): jquery ui icons chart
But I found this site with a set of nice icons which I would like to use (srcroll down to the bottom of the page): Michael Keck
Can these icons be found and downloaded somewhere? Do they belong to the jquery ui framework or are they customized and only exists on this site?
He's essentially created his own theme with that set of icons. That's the beauty of the jQuery UI CSS framework, it specifies a list of icons and you can choose to overwrite them without having to change any of your HTML markup or JS code.
