automated docker hub builds won't trigger - docker

I have a docker hub repository configured for automated builds. see image below. When I press the "save and trigger build" I get an error page saying nothing more than "Oops, there was an error!".
I tried emailing docker support, but in vain.
Any idea why this is happening and how to resolve?

This was resolved by Docker support so I'm posting here for anyone who might get into that as well. It appears that Docker was having an issue with bitbucket integration and it is now solved.

gitlab plugin test connection issue on jenkins

Im having issue with gitlab plugin test connection on jenkins. it gives error when I hit the "test connection" button with the given values.
GitLab user is maintainer and has full access on it. GitLab API token belongs to this user.
unfortunately it seems no way to track this error. I checked the logs files in jenkins machine as well.
GitLab Plugin Version is -> 1.5.27

Auto deploy docker images on push

First, I'm noob with Continuous Deployement. I currently have a VPS running 3 docker containers (Flask, MongoDb, Nginx) that I'm pulling from DockerHub with a docker-compose. What I want to do is auto deploy those 3 containers when pushing some code in my github repo. I think It's possible with Ansible but I never used it.
Someone can explain me how to do it ?

That implies a webhook, as explained in "How to Integrate Your GitHub Repository to Your Jenkins Project" by Guy Salton
And that means your Jenkins server is accessible through an internet-facing public URL, which is not always obvious when working in a corporate environment.
GitHub Actions "Publishing Docker images" can help publishing the image to DockerHub, but you still need to listen/detect those events in order for your Jenkins to trigger job pulling said ppublished images.
For that, a regular sheduler Jenkins job using regclient/regclient can help checking the latest published SHA2 image ID has or has not changed.

Github Docker workflow fails without error message

I am using the docker-publish.yml Github workflow to build and publish a Docker image on Github. The image is built successfully, but the workflow fails at the "Post Build and push Docker image" without any error message. Here is a link to the run, including the logs. It might be the size of the image, but I cannot tell. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Automatic build with Jenkins and GitLab

I deploy Jenkins and GitLab using Docker (locally), both are connected with each other.
One of the problems (not very important) is with SSH. I create ssh key inside Jenkins container and set it to GitLab, but when Jenkins try to checkout the repository throws "Permission Denied". So, executing Jenkins bash, try to run git command and what's happen? GitLab container needs a password for access. Searching, and trying to do as a virtualized server, no works. Whatever, I solved using user and password (I don't like, but works).
The important problem. I don't have any problem creatin, and running, a job (using pipelines). The job download the world from GitLab and send the result to GitLab. The problem, after add a webhook with Jenkins URL to GitLab, push something but nothing happens in Jenkins, not trigger the job.
Anyone can help me?

Is your webhook working correctly ?? are you able to send/receive request and response, if not refer to
Github webhook URL config issue? How to fix it?
When you push does it trigger a request ? can you try hitting it with postman if you do have a request. If you can provide more information, then it will be helpful :)

Continuous deployment with docker

I m actually working with a stack that allows me to make some automation in my integration / deployment system.
Actually I work like following :
I push my code to a github repository
Jenkins sniffs the repo and build the soft, launch unit testing
If unit testing (or other kind of tests, anyway), it notifies Rundeck to deploy to my servers (3 in my case) by connecting into SSH and telling : "hey guy, you have to pull from github, new soft version is available", then it restarts the the concerned service and my soft is now up to date
Okay, tell me if I m wrong, but it seems to be a good solution right ?
Then, I wanted to containerize my applications and now, I got some headaches.
First solution
In fact, I was wondering about something like :
Push to github
Jenkins tests, builds the docker image
Rundeck push to docker hub and tells the 3 servers to pull back the new image from the hub and run it through SSH
Problem : it will run in another container (multiple docker run of the same image, but with different versions :( )
Second solution
The second solution was to :
Push to github
Jenkins tests and tells rundeck that the test successes, without create a "real build" (only one for testing)
Rundeck connects to the running container through ssh and ask to pull the modifications, then it restarts the docker container
Problem : I am forced to use ssh in all my containers
I dont know how to bypass my problems, and what is the best solution...

I don't see any problem with solution 1.
1.Build production version with jenkins
2.Push it (via jenkins) to your private docker registry
3.Tell Rundeck/Ansible/Chef/Puppet ask 3 servers to pull latest image and restart container.
However, it's highly recommended to have some strategy, which considers blue-green principle and rollbacks if something is crashed.
