I suspect build failure on jenkins is also because of this. I have different error message in log in Jenkins.

Any one have any idea ?

Jenkins was not able to recognize the long name. I think there is limit set for the naming conventions for jobs on Jenkins. After all the hard work on Configuration etc. When i configured new job with shorter and meaningful name problem was resolved. Hope this helps someone.

Prometheus: Hadoop Monitoring using JMX Exporter

I am very new to Prometheus and monitoring and working on getting JMX-Exporter setup for my Windows-based Hadoop installation for small POC.
I tried putting in following line in "hadoop_installation\bin\hdfs.cmd\"
set HADOOP_OPTS=%HADOOP_OPTS% "-javaagent:C:\path\to\jmx_prometheus_javaagent-0.11.0.jar=1985:C:\path\to\conf\hadoop.yml"
following is my hadoop.yml

Now when I run start-all.cmd
It gives me errors,

Sonar + Jenkins job execution error

It's been a week since I tried to deploy this solution locally on my machine and then deploy it to a production server.
However, I faced many difficulties and incomprehension, that is what I did:
Sonar installation via apt-get and launch of it on port 9000 of localhost.
Installation of Jenkins via apt-get and launch of it on port 8080 of localhost.
Download the Sonar plugin for Jenkins.
After trying to running a job, it failed because :

I've the same problem. It is caused by incorrect coverity analysis path setting. Check your settings on every build jobs.

ANT SSHEXEC failing with Algorithm negotitation fail error

I am just trying to connect to a remote host using the ant sshexec task . I have the required jar in the ant lib directory and able to connect to the remote host using putty.
This is the way i am running the ssh
<sshexec host="host"
username="username"
password="password"
trust="yes"
command="ls"/>
There seems to be encryption algorith mismatch with the server. How can i specify the algorith as I don't see any attribute for this task [Ant doc][1]. This is the error log i am getting:

TL;DR edit your sshd_config and enable support for diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha1 and diffie-hellman-group1-sha1 in KexAlgorithms:
KexAlgorithms curve25519-sha256#libssh.org,ecdh-sha2-nistp256,ecdh-sha2-nistp384,ecdh-sha2-nistp521,diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha256,diffie-hellman-group14-sha1,diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha1,diffie-hellman-group1-sha1
KexAlgorithms curve25519-sha256#libssh.org,ecdh-sha2-nistp256,ecdh-sha2-nistp384,ecdh-sha2-nistp521,diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha256,diffie-hellman-group14-sha1,diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha1,diffie-hellman-group1-sha1
I suspect that the problem appeared after the following change in OpenSSH 6.7: "The default set of ciphers and MACs has been altered to remove unsafe algorithms.". (see changelog). This version was released on Oct, 6, and made it on Oct, 21 to Debian testing (see Debian changelog).
OpenSSH enables only the following key exchange algorithms by default:
curve25519-sha256#libssh.org
ecdh-sha2-nistp256
ecdh-sha2-nistp384
ecdh-sha2-nistp521
diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha256
diffie-hellman-group14-sha1
Whereas JSch claims to support these algorithms (see under "features") for key exchange:
diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha1
diffie-hellman-group1-sha1
So indeed, they cannot agree on a common key exchange algorithm. Updating sshd_config (and restarting the SSH server) does the trick. Apparently JSch is supposed to support the "diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha256" method since version 0.1.50 (see changelog).
I had the same error trying to connect to OS X 10.11.6 and could fix it by replacing ~/.ant/lib/jsch-0.1.51.jar with the latest ~/.ant/lib/jsch-0.1.54.jar.

Error running mvn clean install

using Eclipse to try and build a maven project with Eclipse. Anyway when I try to run mvn clean install I get the following error
Failed to execute goal org.jboss.ws.plugins:maven-jaxws-tools-plugin:1.0.1.GA:wsconsume (default) on project sso: Error while running wsconsume: Process terminated with code 1
Its calling a MojoExecutionException.
Anyway I am getting the code from a subversion repository which works for others so its not the pom file. I done some googling and it mentions it could be the JBoss version I have running which could be causing the issue. I am using JBoss6.1.0. Also using Maven 3.0.4
Anyone have any ideas? If you need more info just let me know. Thanks.

Well figured it out anyway. Turns out it was a windows limitation with file names. The file path was too long. As such once I moved it to a folder just below root, eg. C:/folder_here then it worked. Also switched to JDK 1.7 because another problem with windows means that if you use 1.6 you need to download another couple of jars. Anyway hope this helps someone else out.
