I´m beginner and I trying to add on a predefined routes on a map application. I have seen the example of Apple's documentation: KMLViewer
It's just what I need, but uses outdated procedures, such as not using ARC (which can be edited) and other functions not well as updating. The advantage would KML me is that I create a file from My Maps in Google, with fully custom route.
I have seen examples (GitHub and Stackoverflow) using alternative libraries, but I get them working.
Do you know of any valid example for at least iOS 7.1 or alternative?

I know that someone mean will probably close this question for being opinion, but the truth is, I'm not after opinion as such, but actual facts about the correct way and how to do this.
I've been searching around for quite a time and I'm still unclear as to what direction to take. It seems there are a billion* libraries that I could use, but I want to know what would be the correct, proper supported method of achieving this.
Essentially, I have a very simple requirement to list and download files from Sites on our Office 365 subscription to an iOS application.
Initially, I looked at the REST interface for Sharepoint and, from a browser, was able to easily perform a GET to our site and receive and receie a response with meta data about the file, for example:
https://mytenantid.sharepoint.com/_api/web/getfilebyserverrelativeurl('/MyFile/Here/Document.txt')
I could also retrieve JSON output instead of XML by specifying an Accept header of application/json using the POSTMAN REST client for Chrome.
So far, so easy. Just the authentication to do outside of the browser and that's it.
Phew!!
I started by looking at Basic authentication, but wasn't sure if this is the right way to do it and even if it would work?
On looking further, it seems that actually, using OAuth might be the way to go. Apparently, you can either do this yourself (no idea how), or use a library (ADAL?) from Microsoft? Unfortunately, this all looks half baked will very little documentation that seems to work. It also requires the use of CocoaPods and workspaces and isn't just a simple library that I can copy to my project and start using (a la SwiftyJSON). There also seems to be a lot of other libraries around too.
I should mention that I'm using Swift, so I've tried converting code from Objective C to Swift (unsuccessfully) too. Apparently I can't use "readWithCallback" with an argument list that the code tells me I should actually use -- even a sample application I downloaded had the same issue.
I've also tried using node.js with a script (not a Web Application) and the documentation and number of libraries available for that is almost worse.
Any assistance to achieve this really simple capability would be hugely appreciated -- it's been driving me nuts.
Many thanks,
D.
*this might be a slight exaggeration.
Office 365 has a RESTful API that you can use any programming language to authentication and integrate in your app.
Here is a simple example for iOS connected app to office 365. The sample shows how to do this in Objective C and SWIFT.

If you want to full iOS samples for office 365 connected apps, Check out this link:

I'm looking for the list of filters provided by Apple to apply on Images.
Summery : I want to create an application which will allow user to edit photos. I'm looking into Core Image Programming Guide, but not able to get full list of filters already available. Right now referring Core Image Filter Reference
Also I need to build this application with new language swift. And it would be my first swift app.So can we use this framework with Swift?
Any help is appreciated.
I've created a website called CIFilter.io which lists all the Core Image filters and their parameters (to learn more about how it works you can read this blog post). The documentation archive link you mentioned lists most of them, but as far as I know, CIFilter.io is the most up to date reference for documentation.
CIFilter is usable in Swift. I'd recommend reading this other blog post which provides example code for generating a color wheel using CIHueSaturationValueGradient for an example.
Can i use Here Maps
http://here.com/,
in blackberry RIM version 5.0 and above development?
Because i have an application which gets the user location and i need to put 2 pins on the map and get the distance between them , and the client wants Here maps.
I used bing map lately, but i need here map now.
Bing Maps SDK For Blackberry 6.0
Option 1) Use the Maps API for Java ME with the Blackberry JDK
There is no native Maps API marketed for Blackberry, however the Maps API for Asha is a general Java ME API, whose only dependencies are CLDC1.1 and MIDP2.0, so there is no reason why it shouldn't work with the Blackberry JDE. This article describes the similarities.
There are a series of code examples available which should work out of the box, except for one thing - you'll need to get hold of the jar files which usually reside in
C:/Nokia/Devices/Nokia_Asha_SDK_1_0/plugins/maps api/lib/
which can be obtained from the Nokia Asha SDK.
So all you'll need to do is download the SDK, extract the file maps-core.jar or any of the other packages you want and access them as external JAR dependencies in the usual manner. See the examples on github for an idea of the capabilities of the library.
Option 2) Use the Map Image API with the low level i/o
Now, if all you need is a single "quick and dirty map", you can make a series of http calls to m.nokia.me using javax.microedition.io to get a map on screen. This article explains why using a static map is probably a bad idea, but it would be a simple solution.
Option 3) Create a cross-platform HTML5 app using Cordova or Web Apps
This would be where the Maps API for JavaScript would be useful,
Basically if you would visit the developer.here.com native APIs section, you could see that there is no offering for Blackberry.
Anyway, thus, if you really want to use HERE maps with the platform, you should check out the Javascript API
I am trying to develop an iPhone app (with map routing function), and I need everyone's suggestions (guidance).
Below are a few specs:
The app will be running on iPhone with iOS 4+.
The app will have Map functionality.
In the app, given a "few locations" in a given order (to make things less complicated), the Map will draw routes between each locations on the Map.
Clicking on any location will display another page that shows some information about that location.
Can choose alternative route between two location (which I don't think is possible, but let me know if anyone know any framework that can do this).
I did some research, using Map on iPhone is easy using MapKit (and it's available after iOS 3.0). I followed this tutorial, and everything seems easy. However, if I want to draw routes on my map, I will need routes data in a CSV format. However, I do not have those data (yes! I suck).
And prior to iOS 5.1, MapKit use Google Maps, and I read somewhere that in Google Map's term and condition of use, it prohibit people from drawing on the Map (correct me if I am wrong).
In order to retrieve route data, I would imagine that I will have to get it through Google or Apple (I don't know if it's possible). I'm just wondering if Apple Map or Google Map have API to retrieve these?
If not, an alternative I came up with is to use a webview, and display my Map routes on Google Map. I'm just wondering if Google Map API will allow me to insert multiple locations and display all the routes?
I really need some suggestions... I am getting buried in all these problems.... thank you
Follow this sample - MKOverlay is the way to go. One more example is here.
I'm trying to find examples of code libraries or sample code for adding a commenting functionality in my apps. I've successfully implemented the Disquser iOS wrapper (http://bit.ly/iadisquser) in a couple of my apps but find it difficult to manage. I've seen other apps that incorporate a commenting feature that's cool, including theCHIVE Lite app, that looks like its using Facebook maybe?? Any hints or suggestions?
Look at QuickBlox Custom Objects code sample. I think it's what you need.
It represents user's notes, which he can create & comment. So, you can implement this comments logic into your apps and comment any item you want
There's a good tutorial for building a chat app that may help you get started, you can find it here: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/x-ioschat/index.html
