I am trying to take a picture and upload the image into an iCloud database, however I keep getting the error: Type 'UIImage' does not conform to protocol 'CKRecordValue'
The code I am trying to use to upload the file is as follows:
data.setObject(picFile.image, forKey: "picture")
Is there something wrong with the line of code, or am I missing something else?
I had to convert it to a CKAsset. I used the following code:

I'm using Realm and storing the file path to captured images as Strings. I want to retrieve them later for use in a tableView. Here's my code to store the path for each image:

The paths appear identical to me, yet no image appears. I've searched all over SO, and at one point came across a mention of the use of the URL for the file path. Somehow, I lost track of that entry and haven't been able to find it again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
You can try with below code for writing the image to the file instead of creating file with content. try? data.write(to: URL(fileURLWithPath: documentsPath))

If you are storing images in the document directory store only image name in the db
At the time of retrieval append the current document directory path with your image name like you done at save time

as i have also this type of issue at last if found that the app number of simulator(838FB5A1-4448-46C9-8BEC-2E939668B97D) is changes which cause the issue

I have a PDF file in my DocumentDirectory.
I want the user to be able to rename this PDF file to something else if they choose to.
I will have a UIButton to start this process. The new name will come from a UITextField.

To rename a file you can use NSFileManager's moveItemAtURL.
Moving the file with moveItemAtURL at the same location but with two different file names is the same operation as "renaming".

How do i overwrite the saved images ? When i use the code to save imageof a different screenshot with same filename and then retrieve it i get the previous image that was initially saved and new image is not overwritten!

First, define function that gives you full filepath from filename:

You just forgot to add "/" between the folder and the file's name:

You should use stringByAppendingPathComponent and stringByAppendingPathExtension:
