This might seem like a stupid question (easy points for you all out there!), but I need to see if the in-app purchasing is working or not for a particular app. In iTunes Connect, I can see all kinds of analytics of premium apps sold and the free apps downloaded. But I can't find a way to filter out ONLY the in-app purchases made on the iTunes Connect dashboard. This is the only real way to find out whether it's working. Can anyone help?

I've just had an In-App purchase approved and hit the App Store. To check the app, I've deleted my test copy and downloaded fresh from the App Store - but now I can't get the In-App purchase without paying for it. Is there a way around this? Sandbox user isn't working in the real App Store, and I don't want to make the In-App purchase free, even for a short while, during the first few days of update. Promo codes are available for the app, but not the IAP.
You can use the below link to create sand box users and test app without paying for it:
https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/LanguagesUtilities/Conceptual/iTunesConnectInAppPurchase_Guide/Chapters/TestingInAppPurchases.html
I suppose it is not possible to test (without paying) IAP once app is in app store. For this purpose sandbox environment is provided by apple so that IAP are tested in development.
Please help me,
I have implement In-App Purchase in my iOS App. And create an In-App purchase on iTunes Connect. This In-App is "Ready to Submit" state.
But whenever i am trying with Xcode in iPad SKProductRequest Response always return 0.
I have stuck for 2 days but still not found any solution. Please provide me suggestions friends.
One more thing is confusing that in my iTunes Account Contract and Tax information is not fixed. So i think this issue is coming for that?
Because in my Itunes Account Below message is continuously is showing
You do not currently have a iOS Paid Apps contract in effect. If this In-App Purchase was submitted with your app, then your app will not be available on the App Store until your contract goes into effect. Legal, Admin, and Finance users can go to the Agreements, Tax, and Banking module in iTunes Connect to view your contract status.
Your first In-App Purchase must be submitted with a new app version. Select it from the app’s In-App Purchases section and click Submit.>
Please suggest where is stuck and why?
Thanks
For in-app purchases to work even in sandbox mode, you need to ensure a few things
your IAP products are setup correctly
you are using the correct mobileprovision files
your iOS paid apps contract is agreed to (even if you haven't filled in the information).
Only then you will receive IAP information in your app.
I'm about to submit my first (free) app for the AppleStore.
I plan to make an update later with in-app purchases.
I'm not familiar with iTunes connect and I don't know yet anything about how in-app purchases works, so I'd like to know if there is anything I should be aware before submitting in order to make the future update easy/possible.
For example, I believe I should submit it as a free app, but i'm not sure i'd better make it an in-app purchase right now even if it doesn't implement purchases for now)
Many thanks !
You DO Not have to entitle an App for In-App Purchase (iAP) until you actually use it. That means you can wait and do it later when you add In-App purchases. Alternatively, you can entitle the App now (via Provisioning Portal) and not add anything until later. Either works just fine.
I'm trying to set up my newsstand application for iOS.
I've made Auto-Renewable Subscription In-App Purchases for subscription, I've made Non-Consumable In-App Purchases for single issues, so it's ok, but one thing still bothers me.
iTunes Connect Developer Guide says "You can enable your app for Newsstand from the app summary page for an app by clicking Newsstand.", but I still unable to get the purpose of this. What's the use of issues I add under this button?
Is there is a way to get this list of issues from my app? Or why it is there?
This is for purposes of covers being shown in iTunes Preview / App Store. If you don't use it at all, the covers won't change, however using Atom Feed to update them seems to be better solution.
You can find how to use it here: https://itunesconnect.apple.com/docs/NewsstandAtomFeedSpecification.pdf
I have completed my iPhone app. It is an app in the finance category. Now, I wish to incorporate in-app purchase.
But before this, I was thinking if I can get the app approved by Apple first.
I will limit 2 features in the app (which can be purchased via in-app purchase once it is added).
I wish to make it live on app store first (with limited features). Then later, I can incorporate in-app purchases. Is it possible for me to do so? Because I will be limiting certain features of the app. Will Apple accept this?
If I remember correctly, there is an option when the App should hit the AppStore. I usually selected the current date as the desired AppStore date. But you could select some point in the future, say one year from now. That should solve your problem, doesn't it?
Until then, you'll see if Apple accepts your app and can later on upload new versions with additional features.
Any minimum viable product(new features can be added in the future updates) can be uploaded to App store. Checkout the Apple's Guidelines
