I started to learn grails and now I am trying to develop a simple blog.
I created the domain model(User, Tag, Comment, Category, Post), controllers.
I installed fckeditor plugin(for adding new posts). I want to add ui interface, which will be support wysiwyg editor.
But I do not understand how does fckeditor store images, which will be linked to post.
Advice please some links or code samples.
... the editor stores the images in a folder that you need to specify. If I remember correctly it will insert the photo at point of cursor in the editor panel. There's another way to deal with it also. Upload your images/create thumbnails and where you have the thumbnails displayed on the page (say as links to full blown pixes) drag one onto the fckeditor pane and it will drop the thumbnail/link at cursor.
I'm sure you've been here as well ;-)
My menu drop-down is now messed up, after I translated the page using on-the-fly Google translater. It refuses to recognize CSS classes I have created and used for exclusion (e.g, I have a class like this class="notranslate", which is no no longer working).
For demostration purpose, I have source code

Not sure what is going on but look at this tool: Translate This
This uses the Google Translate but is easier to use.
Hope this can help you.
I am new to Symfony and I need to work to a large project with many themes to modify them. How can I find where actually is the theme file in which module, just looking at the HTML browser output? Or do I need to look somewhere else, routing for example?
What you want to do is use the Web Debug Toolbar.
Once you have that running on the page, using appname_dev.php, simple click the view link and it will show you which templates have been used. If you need to know which layout to use then use logs link, click none the sfPHPView.
Does anyone know if there's a way to add an RTE to textarea fields within salesforce? I'm fairly new to the platform but i haven't been able to find any useful documentation on this.
In addition to the component, there's also an example of integrating the open source FckEditor component into Visualforce here:
http://blog.sforce.com/sforce/2009/05/a-rich-editor-component-for-visualforce.html
If you're using VisualForce, you can use the inputTextArea tag to edit/save rich text. Set the "richText" attribute to true.
Hi I have to have a popup WYSIWYG editor into my ROR application. I want to develop the editor like www.wikispaces.com used. Here they used Jquery (if you want like that editor , you need to login ) . I want the same functionality . Can anyone please suggest how can i do this and please give me the reference site for the development JQuery with WYSIWYG.
Well, a quick google search turns up jwysiwyg: http://code.google.com/p/jwysiwyg/
And there seem to be some articles on how it's used.
I've always used TinyMCE, it works very well.
