Firebird - Incorrect SYSDBA password - firebird2.5

I just installed Firebird using:
apt-get install firebird2.5-super
Everything went fine and it prompted me for the SYSDBA password. I thought I entered the standard 'masterkey' but must have mis-typed because I can't connect or use GSEC/etc.
So I autoremoved Firebird and tried to install again. It installed but did not ask me for the SYSDBA password again. It would seem that the autoremove does not remove the file which contains the SYSDBA password.
So I'm stuck. Can anyone help? Cheers. Eric.

Try this to set new password:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure firebird2.5-super
Or this to test current password:
sudo cat /etc/firebird/2.5/SYSDBA.password
So I autoremoved Firebird and tried to install again.
To remove all configuration files you need use apt-get purge:
sudo apt-get purge firebird2.5-super

Google Coral / Mendel Linux - packages cannot be authenticated

I am trying to compile Mendel Linux on Ubuntu 20.04 as per:
https://coral.googlesource.com/docs/+/refs/heads/master/GettingStarted.md
I receive the following:
WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!
libedgetpu1-std python3-tflite-runtime python3-pycoral
E: There were unauthenticated packages and -y was used without --allow-unauthenticated
make: *** [/rootdir/build/rootfs.mk:153: /rootdir/out/target/product/imx8m_phanbell/obj/ROOTFS/rootfs_arm64.patched.img] Error 100
I tried installing the three packages as per:
https://coral.ai/software/#debian-packages
I also tried :
$ sudo apt-key update
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
but I still get the above warning and error.
How can I authenticate the above packages?
Thanks.
I face the same problem recent.
Finally, I solve it a few minutes ago.
The Key is to use root user to run the whole tutorial.
$sudo -i #change the user to root
I think the problem is about Docker user.
$sudo apt-get install docker.io
$sudo adduser $USER docker
Before the step "Build the tree" in the tutorial, I use standard user to run the command.
So $USER will be standard user
In the step Build the tree, I face some permission problem.
So I change to root to build the kernel.
The $USER should be root.
I think different $USER cause this problem.
Hope I can heard some good news.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I was trying to compile as a normal user as opposed to root. I created a Linux guest on another computer and followed my previous steps (as a normal user). Everything compiled there as it should. I haven't figured out yet why I can't compile using my first setup but I will update if I find a solution.

Apache-jena-fuseki running on Ubuntu 19.10 password?

I am following this tutorial:
https://gist.github.com/nichtich/113ecc2831d01eb4ae91508b88c0217c
in order to install Apche-jena-fuseki on Ubuntu 19.10 Desktop. The version I am using is: apache-jena-fuseki-3.14.0
When I execute this command:
sudo vim /etc/default/fuseki
I give password: pw
as I found from google search but it does not accept it....
Which is the deafault password for this version? Am I doing something wrong?

Ubuntu, shopsys install via composer, docker, still crashing

I wanna install shopsys via composer and docker, as is recommended.
https://github.com/shopsys/shopsys/blob/master/docs/installation/installation-using-docker-linux.md
I installed git, php-fpm (configured), postgres (configured), composer, docker, docker-compose.
sudo apt install git
sudo apt install php7.2-fpm
sudo apt install postgresql
sudo apt install composer
sudo apt install docker-ce
sudo apt install docker-compose
Everything ok.
I added my user to docker group.
sudo usermod -a -G docker $(whoami)
Ok.
Next I made folder /var/www/html/shopsys, created project shopsys via composer.
composer create-project shopsys/project-base --no-install --keep-vcs
cd project-base/
Then I run this in /var/www/html/shopsys/project-base.
./scripts/install.sh
Everything seems to be ok, until this.
[RuntimeException]
/var/www/html/vendor does not exist and could not be created.
I set rights to 777 for folder /var/www/html, and run it again, but same problem.
The I run this.
sudo composer install
It shows me this error.
....Exception\InvalidConfigurationException]
Invalid configuration for path "monolog.handlers.main": You can only use ex
cluded_http_codes/excluded_404s with a FingersCrossedHandler definition
In ScriptHandler.php line 294:
An error occurred when executing the "'shopsys:domains-urls:configure'" command:
In BaseNode.php line 319:
...\Exception\InvalidConfigurationException]
Invalid configuration for path "monolog.handlers.main": You can only use ex
cluded_http_codes/excluded_404s with a FingersCrossedHandler definition
...
etc., error is quite ugly.
Last error when i run script install.sh.
file_put_contents(/var/www/html/vendor/composer/installed.json): failed to open stream: Permission denied
But this folder does not exist.
ls: cannot access '/var/www/html/vendor/': No such file or directory
Just question, where could be the problem?
Is possible to download sources from some link, extract it, configure and display in web browser with easy way, for example as wordpress?
Thanks.
To solve problem with vendor:
It seems that your UID and GID is different than default 1000, that is set in docker-compose.yml for Linux by default.
To solve your issue you can continue by step 3 in https://github.com/shopsys/shopsys/blob/master/docs/installation/installation-using-docker-linux.md#3-set-the-uid-and-gid-to-allow-file-access-in-mounted-volumes
You found issue with installation script, I have created issue on GitHub.
To solve problem with Invalid configuration for path "monolog.handlers.main":
Currently there is problem with new minor version (3.4.0) of symfony/monolog-bundle that created BC break. There is already created issue about this problem and there is already merged fix in Shopsys master.
To solve problem in your project you have to add
"symfony/monolog-bundle": ">=3.4.0", in conflict section in your composer.json file and then run composer install again.

How to install Postgres using Chocolatey Nuget when I receive a password complexity error

I'm trying to install postgresql using Chocolatey nuget and I get the following error:
Write-Error : postgresql did not finish successfully. Boo to the
chocolatey gods!
[ERROR] Exception calling "SetInfo" with "0" argument(s): "The password does not meet the password policy
requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity
and password history requirements.
This is because the username being set is postgres and the password is Postgres1234 and so I suppose you aren't allowed your username in your password.
Is there a way to pass in the password as a parameter to the chocolatey installation?
Or alternatively some Powershell magic I can use to alter the password rules while I run the package?
Update: my pull request to change the password in the PG 8 and 9 packages has been accepted so this issue should go away once that new version of the package is visible via choco install
So, I've managed to disable the password complexity requirements using:
#Postgres cannot install because the password contains the username so
Mkdir c:\temp -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
secedit /export /cfg c:\temp\secpol.cfg
(gc c:\temp\secpol.cfg).replace("PasswordComplexity = 1", "PasswordComplexity = 0") | sc C:\temp\secpol.cfg
secedit /configure /db c:\windows\security\local.sdb /cfg c:\temp\secpol.cfg /areas SECURITYPOLICY
rm -force c:\temp\secpol.cfg -confirm:$false
#then install
cinst postgresql
cinst pgadmin3
The secedit calls are a modified version of the answer found here. That answer doesn't save the changes to the secpol file that is added here with | sc C:\temp\secpol.cfg
Obviously if you come here and paste this code... you should consider turning complexity back on afterwards.
I'm still interested in a better way of solving this issue...

How to Uninstall Neo4j from Ubuntu 13.04

How to install Neo4j from a Ubuntu 13.04 system
I tried under root privilege "apt-get remove neo4j"...
But it didn't work, I can still see neo4j package in my '/etc' folder.
What should I do to uninstall Neo4j from my system?
try apt-get purge neo4j to get rid of it
To remove completely
For community edition
sudo apt-get purge neo4j
For enterprise edition
sudo apt-get purge neo4j-enterprise
For community version:
sudo apt-get purge neo4j
For enterprise version:
sudo apt-get purge neo4j-enterprise
After deleting neo4j you might want to check data folder, on my Ubuntu it was in /var/lib/neo4j/data/.
I have been working with 68Gb datasets and removing those helped to get lots of disk space back.
Taken from here:
If you downloaded the AppImage, to uninstall you need to remove the
following items:
(1) The downloaded AppImage: this is the executable used to run Neo4j
Desktop.
(2) The ~/.config/Neo4j Desktop directory: this is where Neo4j
Desktop stores configuration files, databases, apps, plugins, and some
other files.
(3) The
~/.local/share/applications/appimagekit-neo4j-desktop-[version].AppImage
file: this is a *.desktop entry, a file used by most desktop
environments to list installed applications. To refresh the content of
your application menu after deleting or making changes to this
*.desktop entries you can run sudo update-desktop-database (this is a system command, it's unrelated to Neo4j Desktop) or reboot.
I did not have to do (3) as it was not there.
For the community version of Neo4j 4.3 on Ubuntu, I found that I needed all the steps below to completely uninstall everything (assuming you're trying to obliterate everything, and not saving anything!):
sudo apt-get purge neo4j
sudo rm -r /var/lib/neo4j/*
sudo rmdir /var/lib/neo4j/
sudo apt autoremove (gets rid of cypher-shell daemon)
