IOS passbook code example how to add? - ios

I simply trying to add my passbook without sharing via email. How i can add my passbook on click button?

This code assumes that you know how to create the pass in the first place...
NSError * passerror;
PKPass * pass = [[PKPass alloc] initWithData:data error:&passerror];
if(!pass) {
UIAlertView* alertView = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"Pass Failed" message:#"Sorry there was a problem creating your Passbook." delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:#"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil];
[alertView show];
return;
}
//init a pass library
PKPassLibrary* passLib = [[PKPassLibrary alloc] init];
//check if pass library contains this pass already
if([passLib containsPass:pass]) {
//pass already exists in library, show an error message
UIAlertView* alertView = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"Pass Exists" message:#"Pass is already in Passbook." delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:#"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil];
[alertView show];
} else {
//present view controller to add the pass to the library
PKAddPassesViewController *vc = [[PKAddPassesViewController alloc] initWithPass:pass];
[vc setDelegate:(id)self];
[self presentViewController:vc animated:YES completion:nil];
}
EDIT You'll need to import
#import <PassKit/PassKit.h>

[composeVC setToRecipients:#[#"address#example.com"]];
[composeVC setSubject:#"Hello!"];
[composeVC setMessageBody:#"Hello from California!" isHTML:NO];
// Present the view controller modally.
[self presentViewController:composeVC animated:YES completion:nil];
// composeVC.modalPresentationStyle = UIModalPresentationPageSheet ;
}
else{

cancelButtonTitle:#"OK"
otherButtonTitles: nil];
[alert show];
}

It always goes in the else condition even when tested on real device. please help. this works in other Xcode versions

NSoperation - string not visible outside the block

I am currently working on a project and using tesseract API .
The code is following :
UIImage *bwImage = [image g8_blackAndWhite];
[self.activityIndicator startAnimating];
// Display the preprocessed image to be recognized in the view
self.imageView.image = bwImage;
G8RecognitionOperation *operation = [[G8RecognitionOperation alloc] init];
operation.tesseract.engineMode = G8OCREngineModeTesseractOnly;
operation.tesseract.pageSegmentationMode = G8PageSegmentationModeAutoOnly;
operation.delegate = self;
operation.recognitionCompleteBlock = ^(G8Tesseract *tesseract) {
// Fetch the recognized text
NSString *recognizedText = tesseract.recognizedText;
NSLog(#"%#", recognizedText);
[self.activityIndicator stopAnimating];
// Spawn an alert with the recognized text
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"OCR Result"
message:recognizedText
delegate:nil
cancelButtonTitle:#"OK"
otherButtonTitles:nil];
[alert show];
};
//NSLog(#"%#",);
// Finally, add the recognition operation to the queue
[self.operationQueue addOperation:operation];
}
I want to pass recognizedText string to second View controller but it is not visible outside the block.
How can I achieve this, any advice?
Declare recognizedText outside block with __block keyword to make it visible outside block.
Like below code:
......
__block NSString *recognizedText;//declared outside to make it visible outside block
operation.recognitionCompleteBlock = ^(G8Tesseract *tesseract) {
// Fetch the recognized text
recognizedText = tesseract.recognizedText;
NSLog(#"%#", recognizedText);
[self.activityIndicator stopAnimating];
// Spawn an alert with the recognized text
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"OCR Result"
message:recognizedText
delegate:nil
cancelButtonTitle:#"OK"
otherButtonTitles:nil];
[alert show];
};
......

Change iOS tab view from alert

I have a tabbed application with 2 tab views. I want to change the view from the second tab to the first when the user presses "OK" on an alert view.
The following code snippet works when I use it on an -IBAction button pressed, but it doesn't do anything when I use it inside the alert code:
self.tabBarController.selectedViewController = [self.tabBarController.viewControllers objectAtIndex:0];
Why does it not work when used as below, in my SeondViewController.m in my
- (void)viewDidLoad {
[super viewDidLoad];?
UIAlertView *alert =[[UIAlertView alloc]
initWithTitle:#"Camera and Target coincident"
message:msg
delegate:nil
cancelButtonTitle:#"OK"
otherButtonTitles:nil];
[alert show];
self.tabBarController.selectedViewController = [self.tabBarController.viewControllers objectAtIndex:0];
I'm just learning this, so anything you can offer would be helpful.
When I use the following code:
if ([ theProjection Trans_Initialise] == 1) {
NSString * msg = nil;
UIAlertView *alertView =[[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"Camera and Target coincident" message:msg delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil];
[alertView show];
- (void)alertView:(UIAlertView *)alertView clickedButtonAtIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex {
if ([[alertView buttonTitleAtIndex:buttonIndex] isEqualToString:#"OK"]) {
self.tabBarController.selectedIndex = 0;
}
}
I get the error message on -(void) alertView "Invalid argument type void to unary expression" Am I doing something grammatical, or is it (quite possibly) something I just didn't understand?
First of all, you need a delegate call back from the alert view informing you about the button that was clicked.
Your alert view should be created like this :
UIAlertView *alert =[[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"Camera and Target coincident" message:msg delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil];
Then in your m file implement the function :
- (void)alertView:(UIAlertView *)alertView clickedButtonAtIndex:(NSInteger)buttonIndex {
if ([[alertView buttonTitleAtIndex:buttonIndex] isEqualToString:#"OK"]) {
self.tabBarController.selectedIndex = 0;
}
}

And the code i use:
- (IBAction)twitter:(id)sender {
if([TWTweetComposeViewController canSendTweet])
{
NSLog(#"Ready to Tweet.");
TWTweetComposeViewController *tweetComposer = [[TWTweetComposeViewController alloc] init];
[tweetComposer setInitialText:[NSString stringWithFormat:#"My message"]];
[tweetComposer addImage:[UIImage imageNamed:#"114x114"]];
[tweetComposer addURL:[NSURL URLWithString:#"http://myPage"]];
tweetComposer.completionHandler = ^(TWTweetComposeViewControllerResult result){
if(result == TWTweetComposeViewControllerResultDone){
NSLog(#"Tweeted.");
} else if(result == TWTweetComposeViewControllerResultCancelled) {
NSLog(#"Cancelled.");
}
[self.navigationController dismissViewControllerAnimated:YES completion:nil];
};
[self presentModalViewController:tweetComposer animated:YES];
}else {
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"Oops"
message:#"You can't send a tweet right now, make sure your device has an internet connection and you have at least one Twitter account setup"
delegate:nil
cancelButtonTitle:#"OK"
otherButtonTitles:nil];
[alert show];
[alert release];
}
}

struggling with inapp email in ios

i am a newbie to iOS and am trying to add inapt email in my app. I have a screen in which pushing the email icon should open the inapp email. I have the code for the inapp email. However, the button is already an outlet on the controller. So, I don't know how to link the same button to a different class/file which has the code for the inapp email. I was thinking of setting up a delegate but don't know how to initialize the delegate in the mail class. Have been struggling for a few days...please help!
Sumit
Try MFMailComposeViewController.... here is some sample code:
Make sure you import the MEssageUI framework and import the MFMailComposeViewController/MessageUI in .h and also conform to its delegate
MFMailComposeViewController *mailView = [[MFMailComposeViewController alloc] init];
[mailView setMailComposeDelegate:self];
if ([MFMailComposeViewController canSendMail]) {
[mailView setSubject:#"Interesting Apple News Article!"];
NSString *mailString = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:#"Test!"];
[mailView setMessageBody:mailString isHTML:NO];
[mailView setModalTransitionStyle:UIModalTransitionStyleCoverVertical];
[self presentModalViewController:mailView animated:YES];
[mailString release];
[mailView release];
} else
[mailView release];
}
-(void)mailComposeController:(MFMailComposeViewController *)controller didFinishWithResult:(MFMailComposeResult)result error:(NSError *)error {
if (error) {
UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:#"Mailing Error" message:[error localizedDescription] delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:#"Dismiss" otherButtonTitles:nil, nil];
[alert show];
[alert release];
[self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES];
} else {
[self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES];
}
}
