Download code and build on top of it if still facing issue
I am in the process of migrating Struts 2+Jsf 2.x web application from WEB -LOGIC 10.3.3.0 to 12.1.3.0.
I am encountering an error while accessing the pages ,as per my understanding if a JSF tag encounters with a value which is reading from the properties file it is encountering the Issue. And in the same pages I am able to read the struts messages.
I have created a POC with the same jars which my application is using to check the JSF is rendering properly or not.the POC is working fine.
and I placed the POC created page in to my application and tried to access again the same error encounterd.
when I comment the Struts filter in My application ,newly created pages worked fine.
I have tried to upgrade the Struts2jsf plugin.jar to newer versions .
I have removed the jsf-api,jsf -impl,JSTL from the APPINF\LIB.
changed the faces-config xsd to 2.0
but no luck..

I am using primefaces 5 and a simple p:fileupload tag is triggering the event only for alternate requests. The event is triggered for 1st 3rd and so on, and not on 2nd 4th etc. This is happening for mode=simple/advanced, auto=true/false, multiple=true/false. Id multiple = true and then i select 4/5 files only 2/3 file events are triggered.
Is it a known issue? Or am i missing any configuration?

Struts 2 Annotations are not working with Java 8.
I have the following example that worked with Java 7, but giving the error in Java 8.
I guess the errors is related to Libraries and Java 8.
Does anyone have this problem?? If so how do we solve it???
I am using struts 2.3.15.1 with Java 8 and Apache Tomcat 8.
This example is working successfully with Java 7, struts 2.3.15.1 and Apache Tomcat 8. I just tested both.
When i am using Java 8 it gives the following error:
> HTTP Status 404 - There is no Action mapped for namespace [/] and
> action name [test] associated with context path [/s2demo].

I think the taglibrary should be in icefaces-compat.jar which is available on what should be the class path. BTW, I used ace:, but ice: has exactly the same problem. Unfortunately, as a new user, I can't upload a snapshot of my directory structure but the jar files are located under web/WEB-INF/classes, which looks logical to me.
The question is: what is missing???
Thanks,
Ilan
Put the icefaces jar file in:
WEB-INF/lib
instead of WEB-INF/classes folder.
Put the icefaces-ace.jar file in:
WEB-INF/lib
instead of WEB-INF/ classes folder.
And enjoy!
