I need to disable one particular tick, but leave it's label visible. Is it possible in HighCharts?
I use scatter plot.

I need to get rid of ticks at 0, 0 point.

My issue with the Highcharts Stacked Area chart is in how it selects which series to highlight. It SEEMS to highlight the series associated with the nearest point, whereas I would like it to highlight the series the mouse is actually hovering over.
In the image below, the mouse is actually hovering over the area in light blue, but because the nearest point is in the dark blue series, it's highlighting that area.
This causes an issue when you have multiple series stacked with very small and very high values (even zero). The user hovers a series with a large area, but the point it highlights might be associated with a series with no visible area (because it has a zero data point), and it will highlight the point with a tooltip saying something like "Switzerland: 0.00" rather than "Brazil: 9.999.99", even though you're hovering over Brazil
Disable stickyTracking and enable trackByArea options:
plotOptions: {
series: {
...,
stickyTracking: false,
trackByArea: true
}
}

Is there a way to force a timeline series' dataLabels all to one side or the other?
I have a vertical timeline in Highcharts with several series (shown with "alternate: false"):
I would like to have, for instance, all of the "Sent for execution" labels on the left side. The "alternate" option moves some of them, but not all.
Okay, I found the answer while asking the question.
Set the "distance" option to a negative value with "alternate" as false. Here it is set to -100.
I have three pie charts displayed in a row. Two have two segments, one has five. All three have vertical legends.
Given that, the chart with five segments displays the pie slightly smaller, due to the extra height of the legend. It also has a slight negative vertical offset.
Is there any way I can set all three charts to render the chart in the same position? I've tried setting the center to 50%,50% in plotOptions, didn't help.
You have to set the marginBottom-Value of the chart to a value that is equal an all charts. Highcharts is trying to display the pie as big as possible, therefore it will use more space if the legend is not as big.
By setting the marginBottom you force the chart to ignore the actual legend size.
The center: ['50%','50%'] setting will only take into account the actual plot area. So if this area is decreased because of a taller legend it has no effect.
I made a jsfiddle where you can explore this settings:

I'm working on similar problem mentioned in the post
highchart plotline can have move animation?
I need to enhance it by adding label to plotline. When ever plotline location changes, its label should also change and its location as well, showing the current Y axis value.
This Link is a similar example from highcharts.com which i'm working on. I'm trying to place the labels for plot bands on y axis. But as you can see the labels are overlapping on the chart which isn't that good. If i wanna color the labels with the same color of the corresponding plotbands, the label doesn't show up. Is there a way to place it completely outside without overlapping?
Thanks in advance.
A possible solution is to add right margin to the chart, and move the labels over.
Add a marginRight to the chart, and on each label, use x to determine its starting x position.
marginRight:110
and
x: 90 on each label.
http://jsfiddle.net/7xb1Lgx6/ the fiddle.
I think it's not possible to do it yet.
If you add labels to the plotbands it will overlap them.
You can align your labels but if you set x more than your chart width, it will not appear on your chart.
