I have a question about how to hide current point (blue dot) to replace custom mark. The platform is implemented on iOS and the Google Maps SDK for iOS API.
The hide method are as following:
mapView.myLocationEnabled = NO;
mapView.settings.myLocationButton = YES;
The question is that if I hide the current point, the event of "TapMyLocationButton" will not trigger.
How to hide the blue point and trigger the method.

I am trying to make a map, where I can see my current location, and see what the street is called.
so far, I am able to put a pin on my map, but for some reason, I am not getting the callout.
and I have put a NSLog in my viewForAnnotation method, but it is not being called, so i wasn't able to test it.
can someone help me?

Right now I have customized my viewForAnnotation to be like this.
But I still can't get a callout from my pin and the pin remains red.
But it should be purple of nothing at all
I had the same problem which was not setting the MapView delegate to the File Owner.
Open your nib
Right click on the MapView
Drag the delegate to the File's Owner
I had the same problem, as you mentioned. The delegate had been set to ViewController, but the viewForAnnotation selector was not being called. After some checks, I realized if you do not call addAnotation in the main thread, mapView would not call viewForAnnotation, so following update resolved my problem:
Before:
[_mMapView addAnnotation:marker];
After:
dispatch_async(dispatch_get_main_queue(), ^{
[_mMapView addAnnotation:marker];
});
In order to get the viewForAnnotation to be called, add mapView.delegate=self; to e.g. the viewDidLoad method:

Could it be that your annotation has been added outside the current view area of the MKMapView?
For storyboard, Ctl drag the MKMapView to the orange circle on the bottom bar of ViewController, and select delegate.
This will solve the problem.
As vatrif mentioned in the comments, you must set your delegate BEFORE adding annotations to your MKMapView object.
Others have already explained, odds are high you have not connected your mapview delegate to your controller. Its the first thing to check
i have been working in ios 9 Mapview related app and I experienced the same problem.
somehow I solved my problem, in my case im resizing the mapview.
I added delegate after i resize the mapview. it works now perfectly.!
After having set the delegate for the mapview if still the viewforannotation not getting called then this is something which you have missed - set the self.mapView.showsUserLocation to YES, in interface builder you can tick the shows userLocation option in attributes inspector.
I am trying to Shown the marker and it's info window together in ios when I tapped on map but didn't work for me here is my sample of code

Sure you can but I think without making custom Markers and InfoWindows it is only possible for one marker:

First of all, Make sure that your Google map does not stack together with the search bar. Then you can use delegate to help you move the animate the marker's position inside the Google Map when you tap on any of the marker. Example code:-

If you have everything setup correctly and the map is big enough, info window should be displayed nicely inside the map.
I am trying to add the default button to return to current Location within google map. I added the button using
self.mapView.myLocationButton = YES
But not able to hide the blue dot which is not required in my case.
If i set

It would remove the functionality to return back to current Location on pressing the current Location button.

You can simply add the annotation view:

In this way the map will still receive user's location updates but the blue dot is hidden. Remember that since this is a delegate method, you should correctly set the delegate.

Easier way would be to replace your annotation with view that has color as clearColor. This way our current location would be shown with an invisible annotation ;-)

I have a tab on the RootViewController.m. The tab has 2 buttons. The first button upon click will go to CorpViewcontroller which has the mapView on it. When I click on the first button on the first try, the map is blank with google label on the bottom. I have to click back then click on the button again then the map show up. Is it possible to always show the map on the first button click?

Are you initializing the MapView in the viewDidLoad method in your view controller?
If so, try moving it to the viewDidAppear method. That worked for me.
In viewDidLoad you are setting showsUserLocation to YES and in viewWillAppear, you are zooming into the mapView.userLocation coordinate.
The userLocation property isn't usually ready with a valid coordinate immediately after setting showsUserLocation to YES.
The first time you show the view controller, it's still invalid and you are zooming into the coordinate 0,0.
By the time you show the view controller a second time, the user location has been obtained and the coordinate is valid.
Instead of zooming into the user location in viewWillAppear, do it in the delegate method mapView:didUpdateUserLocation: which the map view calls when it gets a user location update.
In addition, you also probably want to move the mapView.showsUserLocation = YES; to viewWillAppear and in viewWillDisappear, set it to NO. This way, the map view will zoom in to the user location every time the view controller is shown instead of just the first time.
An unrelated point is that to zoom in to a specific distance, it's much easier to use the MKCoordinateRegionMakeWithDistance function instead of trying to convert miles to degrees yourself.
Here's an example of the changes suggested in corpViewController:
