Not able to install iPhone app - ios

I have developed my iPhone application using Phonegap.I am able to install my application from diawi to my development device(iPhone 5c).
Using Iphone have IOS 7.1 version and developed my application using developer certificate.
Same link on client device download the application, but application is not installed properly. The installation failed with the following error message "Could not install the xxxx(app name) application on this device".
Need help to solve this.

Since this application is installed on your phone, certificates and provisional profiles are created properly. The error on the client device may come because of two reasons:
Client device UUID is not added to the provisional profile which is used while compiling this application.
Your deployment target is higher than client's device iOS version.

I assume that you are in development phase and trying to install the app via Xcode. If thats the case then make sure 1. you have added Client iPhone UDID in the list of devices in the Member Center 2. You have included that device ID in list of devices which can install the app under your provisioning profile. 3. If you are using Team Provision Profile, then make sure all devices are associated with the team + all development certificates are associated with the team. If you have already release a app then I am sure you had created a distribution certificate. Just before you submit your app to the store, you create a signed archive of your app and validate it. Test your final build before submitting it to the store, and if you have not done so, test the archive again for regressions after validating it. Link 1
If you are targeting a specific iOS version (for e.g.: 7), make sure client's devices has <= of that.

Installing a Distribution Certificate signed iOS app through Xcode?

Is it possible to install and run a build on iPhone through Xcode by manually signing it with a distribution certificate? I tried doing the same, but it says:
A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found
Is this some error that can be taken care of, like is there something problematic with the provisioning profile itself or it isn't possible at all?
Also, just in case it is possible, would that allow me to test the app as if I am doing it in production, like using IAP etc in real production environment?
If you want to install Application with Distribution certificate than there are 2 options available
1. With Xcode :
There are 2 different types of Provisioning Profiles available in Distribution (AdHoc & AppStore)
If you are going to install directly with Xcode than you can make AdHoc Distribution Profile & add your Device Id in It & install it via Xcode
Make sure you won't be able to debug with this Provisioning
2. With TestFlight :
Second option is you can use Apples TestFlight beta program to install App through App Store Distribution App
For that you need to upload application on App Store same as we are uploading live apps.
Than go to the Beta testing section & Invite the beta testers
Hope this helps to everyone.

nativescript Warning : Cannot find a valid certificate or provisioning profile for the iOS platform

I am working on windows 10, I have started developing nativescript, and to test apps on IOS, i have installed 'SideKick', but when i am trying to run App on IOS on the cloud, I am getting this warning that prevents me from building IOS
"Cannot find a valid certificate or provisioning profile for the iOS platform"
since I am working on window, and do not have mac or ios phone, from where to get a certificate or a provisioning profile?
thanks for your help in advance
You will need to get a paid Apple developer account to build and deploy code signed apps on physical devices.
You should read through the information about code signing for nativescript here:
https://docs.nativescript.org/publishing/publishing-ios-apps#account-with-apple-id
You will need to create a development certificate and profile, and add the device IDs for the devices you want to test on.

Unable to install iOS app locally on phone after moving to distribution stage

I have recently switched my app from the development to the distribution stage, but now I'm unable to install the app from Xcode to my test phone directly. The simulators work but I need to test this on an actual device, and testflight just takes too long for what I want to test.
When attempting to install the app to my phone via Xcode, I get this error
Failed to code sign <App Name>.
None of the valid provisioning profiles include the devices: <device name>
However, this device is set up on my developer account with the correct UDID and everything.
I'm wondering if its still possible to install my app directly from Xcode onto my device, and how to do so if possible.
Thanks!
Thanks to #Darklex, it turned out that under the build settings in my target application, I had somehow managed to change the code signing identity to iOS Distribution when I needed it as iOS Development.

How to access apple signing certificates?

This is Minton. I've recently discovered a software known as "Adobe PhoneGap". It involves using HTML CSS and Javascript to write apps.
Everything is going fine, but when I want to put my alpha test onto my iphone for testing, it tells me that I need a valid signing certificate and provisioning profile to put apps onto my phone.
For iphone apps I have been using XCode and thus the profiles are linked to my apple ID (I'm using the free one just to put alpha tests onto my device), but how do I access my certificate files (if any) in PhoneGap?
Thanks in advance!
To run your mobile App on your iPhone you have two options :
Build the app directly to your phone via terminal command
cordova run ios --device
Add your UDID to your provisioning profile
you have to get your iPhone UDID which you can get it from you iTunes while connecting the iPhone to it
then add this unique number to Devices tab on your Apple developer account
and then add this device to your provisioning profile you are using with this APP
After finish all development on the app you can upload it via application loader which come with XCode to the app store where you can install it to any iPhone compatible with your supported version of iOS

Unable to install provisioning profile on ad-hoc distribution test devices using iTunes 11 and iOS 7

It seems like that there is a problem installing ad hoc distribution apps using iTunes 11. I found out that the specific problem is that the provisioning profile never gets installed on the devices, which causes the application installation to fail and block (the icon stays black).
Use case:
distribute ad hoc apps to iOS 7 tester devices that do not have XCode and without having to use third party webservices like testflight.
Installation success when:
I install my app on an iPad with iOS 7 with a profile installed using iTunes 10 when it was running iOS 7. This because the profile is still valid.
Installation fail when:
I install the app on a new device running iOS 7 via iTunes 11. Looking at: Settings->General->Profiles I do not find any profiles in this case (despite I copied them on iTunes and sync the device).
Hence what I need to find out is how to install provisioning profiles on a iOS 7 tester device with or without using iTunes 11 and without:
- using third parties software like TestFlight.
- forcing the tester to use XCode
Any help/suggestion?
PS: Good old times when It used to be possible to install the device by just dragging and dropping it on the iTunes 10 icon and then synchronizing it with the device.
The situation is way better than "the good old times". You can install both the ad hoc provisioning profile and app directly on the device by directing the user to a specially constructed web page.
That link is a little old. I've created a rough script that creates an over-the-air install from the ad-hoc IPA file you create in the Xcode Organizer (although enterprise would probably work too).
All you need to do is modify yourhost.com and yourhost_via_ssh in the bin/mk_ota file.
Solved!
The issue was that had sent to my collaborators the UUID finder App which apparently has a bug (at least on iOS 7 devices) because it gets the wrong uuid:
It does substitute in the first part of the UUID a series of letters "F" and change the rest of the uuid:
UUID / UDID / UID:
FFFFFFFFrestofuuid(incorrect)
The safest way to get the correct uuid is to copy it directly using iTunes. One you have the correct ad hoc distribution certificate (with the right uuid) then send it to the tester and ask to reinstall (by dragging and dropping it on iTunes and then Synchronizing or by sending it via email and opening the mail from the device - which will prompt the user to an installation process). To check if it is installed on the testers device in the general settings menu.
Notes: I sent the UUID finder App a couple of weeks ago (as of 23 December 2013), so the current version of UUID finder may be working correctly. Double check in case you are in doubt. EDIT: API deprecated, see Deprecated UIDevice Methods - Apple Developer
