Puppet Plugin for Jenkins - jenkins

How to integrate Jenkins with Puppet?
As of now i am integrating Jenkins with Puppet. But We dont know which puppet plugin will support for jenkins. Can you please help on us.

It depends on what you want to achieve. If you simply want to deploy the manifests, there is no need for a puppet plugin. You could use the Publish over SSH plugin or something that let you push your code to the puppet master.
To actually execute puppet commands a generic job configuration would be fine.
If you are looking for a full chain of source control, tests and deployment for your manifests, you should take a look at Gerrit and how to integrate it with Jenkins using the Gerrit Trigger plugin

Chef deployment using Declarative Pipeline

I would like to create a declarative Jenkins pipeline setup for the continues integration and Deployment, My only confusion was how Jenkins and chef are going to communicate in this process, after the continue integration, I want the chef to take over and install the Jar or Zip packages and deploy them on the several nodes from Jfrog Repo. Here maven is my build tool. In Jenkins pipeline I can setup until the build is done , is there any thing that I can do in the Post section of the pipeline for the chef communication for deployment or it has to be done. Please share some suggestion.
You can achieve this by putting workstation in one of the jenkins node.
Check out the below image for the same, instead of Ansible use Chef. I suppose this might work, haven't use chef recently.

trigger a Jenkins from bamboo

My requirement:
My build pipeline is in Bamboo and Test integration pipeline is implemented in Jenkins. So once CI pipeline is completed in Bamboo, there should be a trigger from Bamboo to Jenkins job.
I'm aware this can be done via API call to Jenkins, however I also saw that there is some kind of plugin in Bamboo which can integrate with Jenkins.
I could not find the name of that plugin anywhere, can someone of you help me is providing the plugin name ?
Please do let me know for more question.
You might be referring to the following plugin: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211284/webhook-to-jenkins-for-bitbucket. However, this plugin is for Bitbucket and not Bamboo. As far as I'm aware, there is no Jenkins specific plugin for Bamboo.
There is however a generic webhooks plugin for Bamboo: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1220844/webhooks-for-bamboo, which can be configured to trigger Jenkins at the end of a build.

Can Jenkins used with python project?

I'm developing a web application using python django. I want a CI service which can automatically pull the latest code from my github and run some test then deploy. I'm not familiar with CI, after searching for a while I found Jenkins seems to be a good solution. Can Jenkins be used for this?
Jenkins can be used with any project.
Regarding pulling the latest code, add the Jenkins GitHub plugin in order to be able to check "Build when a change is pushed to GitHub" under "Build Triggers".
That will launch your job on any new pushed commit on the GitHub repo.
From there, a Jenkins job can execute any command that you would do in command-line, provided the agent on which said job will be scheduled and executed has the necessary tools in its PATH (here python)
An alternative (which does not involved Jenkins) is to setup a webhook and a listener on your server which will detect a "push event" sent by said webhook.

Configuring Jenkins plugins with Puppet

I'm using the rtyler/jenkins Puppet module to deploy my Jenkins instance. One thing I can't seem to find documentation on is how to use Puppet to configure the Jenkins plugins once I've installed them. Can someone point me to some documentation and/or write a quick example? Thanks.
the module he provides is only for managing/configuring jenkins and managing plugins. All plugins are vastly different, there is no possibility his scripts would be able to manage the wide breadth of jenkins plugins out there. You would want to try to capture that using jenkins backups or by looking into how each module allows configuration.
For anyone interested in how to pull this off, I'm using the Jenkins SCM plugin available here: https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/SCM+Sync+configuration+plugin
This requires manually setting up Jenkins and having the plugin sync all the configuration settings to a repository. All future Jenkins instances provisioned by Puppet will need to have all the necessary plugins installed, but the SCM plugin will automatically download all the necessary settings. However, do note that some of the plugins will require you to manually add includes into the SCM to begin tracking them: https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/SCM+Sync+Config+shared+additionnal+includes

Jenkins Puppet integration

My development setup is such that for every svn checkin code is built, unit tested, packaged and published in Artifactory. Now I want to automate my deployment process & run integration(Selenium) test as part of this process. I am thinking of using Puppet to managed the deployment
Is puppet the correct tool for this
What is the process I should use to trigger puppet master to initiate a fresh installation on agents, I couldn't find any Jenkins plugin that would actually trigger puppet. One option is to call
puppet apply ...
as a Jenkins post build task
Any suggestions welcome, thank you.
Have a look at this Selenium Jenkins article from Saucelabs, a service that automates cross-browser testing. Though they are a vendor with a service to sell, the article covers how to do Selenium testing yourself with Jenkins. It also exposes common pain points you are likely to run into with this approach.
A Puppet master doesn't serve the function of orchestrating client convergences. Take a look at Mcollective. This is a tool that will allow you to trigger puppet runs on target systems from a Jenkins agent via script commands.
