When 100 users search for a content called "maths" through google search now i want to put load test through "Jmeter".
I want to know whether i have to make Parameter for this type of load test?
You can simply achieve it by creating test plan as below,
Add a Http sampler with CSV DATA SET CONFIG (element that allows
you to read different parameters from text file for
parameterization) and configure text file data to a PARAMETER_VARIABLE ( Read this blazemeter blog for better understanding ).
Use https:// www.google.com/search?q=${PARAMETER_VARIABLE} URL
in Http Sampler.
Set Number of threads to 100
NOTE: You are not suppose to do Google search load testing; it may illegal and try to find answer by googling before posting the question.

I have a database of elements, each element has its own QR Code. After reading the code I would like to be able to open the worksheet on a specific tab and jump to the appropriate cell (according to the element name). Calling a worksheet through a URL with the #gid parameter allows you to open a tab.... the "range" parameter allows you to jump to a specific cell.... and what if I want to search for an item by name? Something like: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1fER4x1p.../edit#gid=82420100&search=element_name.... is it possible?
Google has not introduced this yet
But you can look into Google Script (Googles SpreadSheets macros like) to achieve this.
Also a simpler approach will be to just filter the data, but this will change your requirement obviously. For example you can create a Filter with the name you are looking for and then you will get the URL.
This is the URL to a Sample of this, it should open the
Spreadsheet and filter the data when loaded. This is the Icon to
look for to create the filters
here is some documentation for you to get started on Google App Script, but I don't have a direct link to let you know how to catch the parameters for it to process them. What I can tell you is that this is a much more complicated approach than just a URL because it involves programmatic processing on the Spreadsheet side.
I have been using yandex.tank for a few days to perform load tests
I have set up the URL's list in different ways but I do not get my goal
I want to simulate a real visit (like a web navigator):
request
html response
request of objects embedded in the code
I can create a grouped list of the objects embedded in the code, but the results are oriented to each of the requests per individual. For example:
My "home" tag in "Cumulative Cases Info" shows me:
4554 28.21% / avg 171.2 ms
171.2 ms is the average time of each of the objects. I want the average time for the full request (html and embeded objects)
Is it possible to perform a load test by making requests like those indicated with yandex.tank? Or with another load testing tool?
Yandex-tank (actually default load generator Phantom in it), doesn't parse response and therefore knows nothing about embedded resources. You'd better try jmeter as a load generator, since it's HTTP Request Sampler has an option to retrieve resources - http://jmeter.apache.org/usermanual/component_reference.html#HTTP_Request
I want to save final data from console output to file without intermediate.
How can i do that?
The report module exports all info into html in JSON format. You can get some info from there (cumulative percentiles, for example). You even don't have to modify python code in that case, just add some JS to the page that generates a table.
On the other hand, if you want something more then that info included there, you should implement it in the report module.
What particular pieces of last screen data are you interested in?
P.S by the way, one may create a couple of templates and then provide the template parameter in report section of load.ini to specify which one you want to use.
This screen is good report only for "const" benchmarking. For "line" and "step" ramping the last screen always demonstrates the worst timings and resources. But we are thinking about this feature request.

Scraping data to Google Sheets from a website that uses JavaScript

Using this webpage as an example http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1688317
On a google spreadsheet, the following DO NOT work with importxml():
//a[contains(#href,"showpost")]/#href
//a[contains(#href,"showcount")]/#href
//*[#id="postcount18545482"]
The last one (//*[#id="postcount18545482"]) was copied directly from Chrome's element viewer.
The following DO work but exclude any results with the word "showcount", "postcount", or "showpost":
//div[contains(#id,"post_message")]/#id
//a[contains(#href,"show")]/#href
//a[contains(#href,"post")]/#href
Is there something special about the word "count" when working with importxml() or XPATH? How can I get the missing entries?
ImportXML function in Google Docs spreadsheet can not process data that is created in a two-step process. For example, when an authentication token must be retrieved first before making the url request, or when the URL tells the server to dynamically create an xml output after which the user is redirected to the output, even when the URL stays the same. You might want to look into Google Apps Scripts (http://code.google.com/googleapps/appsscript/index.html) to handle this case.
Taken from here
In your particular case the anchor parameters get set in the vbulletin_post_loader.js script called after the page container is loaded.
...
pc_obj=fetch_object("postcount"+this.postid);
openWindow("showpost.php?"+(SESSIONURL?"s="+SESSIONURL:"")
+(pc_obj!=null?"&postcount="+PHP.urlencode(pc_obj.name):"")+"&p="+A)
...
In other words, when importXML() scans the page, the nodes containing 'showpost' or 'postcount' in href are not yet on the page:
Looks like importXML() works with static pages only and not able to handle dynamically loaded content.
Try to find another way of obtaining the number of post in a thread.
The scenario:
I have an ApEx page which pulls a record from a table. The record contains an id, the name of the chart (actually a filename) and the code for an image map as an NVARCHAR2 column called image_map.
When I render the page I have an embedded HTML region which pulls the image in using the #WORKSPACE_IMAGES#&P19_IMAGE. substitution as the src for the image.
Each chart has hot spots (defined in the image_map html markup) which point to other charts on the same ApEx page. I need to embed the:
Application ID (like &APP_ID.)
Session (like &APP_SESSION.)
My problem:
When I try to load the &APP_ID as part of the source into the database it pre-parses it and plugs in the value for the ApEx development app (e.g. 4500) instead of the actual target application (118).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Not a lot of feedback - guess I'm doing something atypical?
In case someone else is trying to do this, the workaround I ended up using was to have a javascript run and replace some custom replacement flags in the urls. The script is embedded in the template of the page and assigns the APEX magic fields to local variables, e.g.:
var my_app_id = '&APP_ID';
Not pretty, but it works...
Ok - I think I've left this open long enough... In the event that anyone else is trying to (mis)use apex in a similar way, it seems like the "apex way" is to use dynamic actions (which seem stable from 4.1.x) and then you can do your dynamic replace from there rather than embedding js in the page(s) themselves.
This seems to be the most maintainable, so I'll mark this as the answer - but if someone else has a better idea, I'm open to education!
I found it difficult to set a dynamic URL on a link to another page - directly - attempting to include the full URL as an individual link target doesn't work, at least in my simplistic world, I'm not an expert (as AJ said: any wisdom appreciated).
Instead, I set individual components of the url via the link, and a 'Before Header' PL/SQL process on the targeted page to combine the elements into a full url and assign it to the full url page-item:
APEX_UTIL.set_session_state(
'PG_FULL_URL',
'http...'||
v('PG_URL_COMPONENT1')||
v('PG_URL_COMPONENT2')||
'..etc..'
);
...where PG_FULL_URL is an item of Type 'Display Image', 'Based On' 'Image URL stored in Page Item Value'.
This is Apex 5.1 btw, I don't know if some of these options are new in this release.
