Does Corona SDK support NFR and if so can someone point me to a resource?
I want a simple way to share data with another device running the same APP in close proximity?
Thanks
Corona now supports NFC via third-party plugins.

I am a newbie in mobile app dev. I have been given an app to write as assignment and it is suggested that I should use Java/J2ME and an android phone is required. Well, if I develop it in j2me
1. Will I be use it in android phone?
2. will I be able to place it in the Google Play Store?
3. Will I be able to place in other stores such as Apple store and use it in IOS?
4. Moreover, if it is possible to run it on android phone and I place it in play store, if I wish to monetize it, will I be able to place ads such as one provided google, the famous admob?
Is it really sound to use J2ME or is the Android API better?
No is the answer. You can create library ie as jar and use it in android. Android uses in addition to java file. xml layout. Moreover apk is an extension which is compressed binary format of resource(xml),values manifest with set of permissions to access. For eg: Internet permission means you want to use as
and every app extension file will vary. So it's better to use cross mobile platform. One code to support in many device.
Sencha Touch
Titanium
Jquery Mobile etc.,
If You are using sencha to develop your app you can deploy it in all platforms..or else you have to code seperately for android and ios..
Once your app is ready you can sell it through playstore(android) or istore(i phone) by creating an account in both..
Will I be use it in android phone?
No, unless you find some sort of "player" for J2ME.
will I be able to place it in the Google Play Store?
No, unless you find some sort of "player" for J2ME that you can license that will give you a distributable APK as output.
Will I be able to place in other stores such as Apple store and use it in IOS?
No, as iOS does not support J2ME.
Moreover, if it is possible to run it on android phone and I place it in play store, if I wish to monetize it, will I be able to place ads such as one provided google, the famous admob?
No, unless you find some sort of "player" for J2ME that you can license that will give you a distributable APK as output and allows you to embed ads.
Is it really sound to use J2ME
Only if you want to run your app on a feature phone that supports J2ME. I am not aware of any current smartphone platform that supports J2ME.
I have been contacted by a company installing iPads in hotels, they are developing an app that has many apps with different functionality. There developer is asking for an SDK or API of our app to include in there system. i have never heard of this. Does anyone know how to go about this or if it is even possible to do?
Our app is a complex clock radio, Beautiful Clock Radio for the iPad.
Thanks Mark

I'm a BlackBerry native applications developer. I'm new in BB10 apps development. I'm supposed to create an Augmented Reality based application in BB10. I've no idea whether there's any third party library available for blackberry10 or not.
I have googled this thing. Have come to know that Wikitude has provided wikitide-SDK for Android and iOS; using it, android and iPhone developers can develop AR (Augmented Reality) Apps very easily. News says that Wikitude will release SDK for BlackBerry later this year.
Do anyone know the exact release date of Wikitide-SDK for BB10(blackberry) ?
Do anyone have any idea about any third library which I can use for developing AR apps for BB10?
Thanks in advance.
As of August first, they've made this press release.
Of interest in that press release is this (emphasis added):
Wikitude’s most recent product launch is the Wikitude SDK, which allows third parties to develop their own AR apps. The company is also preparing an SDK for BlackBerry® 10.
However, they not yet provided a timeline.
Edit: this is now available:

Currently i am exploring Wikitude for BB10. I want to know if Wikitude fetch users location in background or not?
Does somebody know soft for better using online maps in off-line mode?
Because, you know, now you have to do several printscreens and then glue them.
But I'm pretty sure that there is tool at least for gluing overlapping images
MapsWithMe provides free offline maps for iPhone, iPad and Android. iOS version is available at the AppStore. Android is in beta, just ask for it at info#mapswithme.com
in Russia, there are Yandex maps and the collection of cache maps (http://ymm.sytes.net/) which you can load in your cell phone. Unfortunately, as I know, there is only Russian interface.
I'm developing a game for Blackberry, and I've been tasked with developing multiplayer for it. I've been trying to do research and find out how to implement bluetooth on Blackberries and I want to know if it's feasible to implement on a turn based game. Also, if anyone could give me some resources or tutorials to being with, that would be much appreciated!
Yes, this would definitely work. Check out the BluetoothDemo sample app that comes with the developer tools. It contains code that lets you communicate between two devices using Bluetooth.
