Adding Long Press Gesture Recognizer to Google Map in iOS - ios

I added a GMSMapView to a UIScrollView and also i added Table View to that UIScrollView. No my task is if Long Press on any Location on the Map i will get that address and add that address to Table View and also i want to add a marker at that Location.
I write the Below code for adding long press gesture recognizer to the map but it is not working.
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
[super viewDidLoad];
self->map.delegate = self;
CGRect fullScreenRect=[[UIScreen mainScreen] applicationFrame];
UIScrollView *scroll=[[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:fullScreenRect];
[self.view addSubview:scroll];
scroll.contentSize=CGSizeMake(320,1000);
GMSCameraPosition *camera = [GMSCameraPosition cameraWithLatitude:21.0000 longitude:78.0000 zoom:4.5];
map = [GMSMapView mapWithFrame:CGRectMake(0,0, self.view.frame.size.width,390) camera:camera];
[scroll addSubview:map];
UITableView *tab = [[UITableView alloc]initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 410, self.view.bounds.size.width, 300) style:UITableViewStylePlain];
[scroll addSubview:tab];
tab.delegate = self;
tab.dataSource = self;
UILongPressGestureRecognizer *longPressGesture = [[UILongPressGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:#selector(mapLongPress:)];
longPressGesture.minimumPressDuration = 1.5;
[map addGestureRecognizer:longPressGesture];
}
-(void)mapLongPress:(UILongPressGestureRecognizer *)gestureRecognizer
{
if(gestureRecognizer.state == UIGestureRecognizerStateBegan)
{
NSLog(#"%f",coordinate.latitude);
NSLog(#"%f",coordinate.longitude);
}
}
The Main Problem here is "mapLongPress" method is not called after i long press on the MapView.
Can any one Help me please.

You can use default MapVIew LongPress event
/**
* Called after a long-press gesture at a particular coordinate.
*
* #param mapView The map view that was pressed.
* #param coordinate The location that was pressed.
*/
- (void)mapView:(GMSMapView *)mapView
didLongPressAtCoordinate:(CLLocationCoordinate2D)coordinate;

DidSelect Annotation getting called

I have a tap gesture recognizer added to a mapView. My MapView has annotations and when I tap on an annotation only dismissCollectionView is called. DidSelectAnnotation method not getting called. How do I stop tapgesture method(dismisscollection) calling when I tap on an annotation? Any help will be appreciated.
self.m_mapView = [[MKMapView alloc] init];
self.m_mapView.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 568);
self.m_mapView.delegate = self;
// MapHeight = self.m_mapView.frameHeight;
m_locationManager = [[CLLocationManager alloc] init];
if (SYSTEM_VERSION_GREATER_THAN_OR_EQUAL_TO(#"8.0")) {
[m_locationManager requestWhenInUseAuthorization];
[m_locationManager requestAlwaysAuthorization];
}
self.m_mapView.mapType = MKMapTypeStandard;
[self.m_mapView setUserTrackingMode:MKUserTrackingModeFollow];
[self.m_bgImageView addSubview:self.m_mapView];
m_locationManager.desiredAccuracy = kCLLocationAccuracyBest;
m_locationManager.delegate = self;
UITapGestureRecognizer *tapGesture = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc]initWithTarget:self action:#selector(dismissCollectionView)];
tapGesture.numberOfTouchesRequired = 1;
tapGesture.cancelsTouchesInView = NO;
[self.m_mapView addGestureRecognizer:tapGesture];
If you want both actions to happen: Set the delegate of your gesture recognizer and implement gestureRecognizer:shouldRecognizeSimultaneouslyWithGestureRecognizer: to return YES for your recognizer and any that the map view uses internally.
If you want dismissCollectionView and mapView:didSelectAnnotationView: to be mutually exclusive: Implement -gestureRecognizer:shouldReceiveTouch: and check if the touch location is in an MKAnnotationView or one of its subviews. Only return YES if the location is outside all annotation views.

How to get zoom out from zoomed image in ios

I have code like this..
in loadView()
I have created the scrollview like this with no.of taps and max value
self.scrollView = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.bounds];
self.scrollView.delegate = self;
self.scrollView.maximumZoomScale = 2;
self.scrollView.autoresizingMask = self.view.autoresizingMask;
[self.view addSubview:self.scrollView];
UITapGestureRecognizer *tapOnce = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:#selector(handleSingleTap:)];
UITapGestureRecognizer *doubleTap = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:#selector(handleDoubleTap:)];
[tapOnce setNumberOfTouchesRequired:1];
[doubleTap setNumberOfTapsRequired:2];
[tapOnce requireGestureRecognizerToFail:doubleTap];
[self.scrollView addGestureRecognizer:tapOnce];
[self.scrollView addGestureRecognizer:doubleTap];
Method implementation:
- (void) handleSingleTap:(UIGestureRecognizer *)gestureRecognizer
{
//single tap in full screen mode it will dismiss the view
[self dismissViewControllerAnimated:YES completion:nil];
}
- (void)handleDoubleTap:(UIGestureRecognizer *)gestureRecognizer
{
//double tap will zoom the view to scrollview max value
[self.scrollView setZoomScale:self.scrollView.maximumZoomScale animated:NO];
}
Now I am able to "zoom" on tapping to full screen image and it will go in maxZoom value, but how to come back from zoomed to min value on double tap on the same, because I have functionality to dismiss the view on single tap. I need to handle one more double tap in the "handledoubleTap" method itself.
- (void)handleDoubleTap:(UIGestureRecognizer *)gestureRecognizer
{
if ( flag == 1 ){
flag = 0;
[self.scrollView setZoomScale:self.scrollView.maximumZoomScale animated:NO];
}
else {
flag = 1;
[self.scrollView setZoomScale:self.scrollView.minimumZoomScale animated:NO];
}
}
In the above method just set flag according to your need. Hope this helps.. :)

View added manually in code does not appear

Once user double taps on image/screen, it adds an annotation on the screen. When it adds annotation image, I want also open a subview to add annotation detail. However, my subview does not come up.
Here is my code snippet.
#synthesize iViewController;
- (void)viewDidLoad {
[super viewDidLoad];
// adding gesture recognizer
UITapGestureRecognizer *tapGesture = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:#selector(handleTapGesture:)];
tapGesture.numberOfTapsRequired = 2;
[self.imvPhoto addGestureRecognizer:tapGesture];
tapGesture.delegate = self;
}
- (void)handleTapGesture:(UITapGestureRecognizer *)sender {
if (sender.state == UIGestureRecognizerStateRecognized) {
// Here is the code for subview adding
iViewController = [[InventoryViewController alloc] init];
[self.view addSubview:iViewController.view];
iViewController.view.frame = CGRectMake(100, 100, 320, 460);
}
}
Based on #rdelmar feedback, here is the solution:
iViewController = (InventoryViewController *)[self.storyboardinstantiateViewControllerWithIdentifier:#"InventoryViewController"];
iViewController.view.frame = CGRectMake(728, 32, 300, 736);
[self.view addSubview:iViewController.view];

Zoom with touches in a custom view in a scrollView. touchesMoved not called

I have a custom view that will pinch zoom, but I'd like to also slide it around in any direction. The zoom works well, and the moving works well, but so far it's just one or the other. The touchesMoved method never gets called.
The scrollView has a subView which the user will touch and move. It will function like a little map. On the subView are several custom labels. I have a tap Gesture recognizer on the labels, which works fine now, and will still need to work when the zoom and moving is corrected.
I also tried [scrollView setScrollEnabled:NO]; and other things, but that didn't allow both to work. How can touches Moved be called? What will I need to do to allow both to work?
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
[super viewDidLoad];
[self.view setUserInteractionEnabled:YES];
scrollView = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.bounds];
[scrollView setMinimumZoomScale:.7];
[scrollView setMaximumZoomScale:1.5];
[scrollView setAutoresizesSubviews:YES];
[scrollView setUserInteractionEnabled:YES];
scrollView.delegate = self;
[self.view addSubview:scrollView];
CGRect mapFrame = CGRectMake(0, 0, 300, 300);//temp numbers
subView = [[UIView alloc]initWithFrame:mapFrame];
subView.userInteractionEnabled=YES;
subView.autoresizesSubviews=YES;
[scrollView addSubview:subView];
}
-(void)touchesMoved:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event {
NSLog(#"touchesMoved");
touch = [touches anyObject];
CGPoint location = [touch locationInView:subView];
CGPoint prevLoc = [touch previousLocationInView:subView];
CGPoint origin = subView.frame.origin;
origin.x += (location.x - prevLoc.x);
origin.y += (location.y - prevLoc.y);
CGRect newFrame = subView.frame;
newFrame.origin = origin;
subView.frame = newFrame;
}
- (UIView *)viewForZoomingInScrollView:(UIScrollView *)scrollView {
return subView;
}
//label sample
newCity =[[MyCustomClass alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(x, y, 95, 40)];
newCity.userInteractionEnabled = YES;
UITapGestureRecognizer *tapGesture = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:#selector(touchUp:)];
[newCity addGestureRecognizer:tapGesture];
[subView addSubview:newCity];
I'm also getting this in the log and don't know why. "Ignoring call to [UIPanGestureRecognizer setTranslation:inView:] since gesture recognizer is not active.
" I removed the pan gesture recognizer, after that didn't work. I'm using Xcode 4.5.2
My header is
#interface CitiesViewController : UIViewController <UIScrollViewDelegate, UIGestureRecognizerDelegate>
{
UIView *subView;
}
#property(nonatomic, strong) UIView *subView;
#property(nonatomic, strong) UIScrollView *scrollView;
To solve this I removed the TouchesMoved entirely and used a panGestureRecognizer instead. Hopefully it helps someone.
I added this to my subView:
UIPanGestureRecognizer *pan = [[UIPanGestureRecognizer alloc]initWithTarget:self action:#selector(handlePan:)];
[pan setDelegate:self];
[subView addGestureRecognizer:pan];
Add this method:
- (void)handlePan:(UIPanGestureRecognizer *)recognizer {
CGPoint translation = [recognizer translationInView:subView];
subView.center = CGPointMake(recognizer.view.center.x + translation.x,
recognizer.view.center.y + translation.y);
}
I never did figure out why that message Ignoring call to [UIPanGestureRecognizer setTranslation:inView:] is still occurring, but this seems to work.

Add image to subclassed UIImageView

I am trying to add a tap gesture from a subclassed UIImageView and then control the tap from the View Controller. I am not getting any compiling errors but "addSubview" is not displaying any image. How can make the UIImageView to be displayed?
If I try to control the tap and pan gestures from the subclassed UIImageVIew I have no problems but I would like to control these functions from the View Controller
Relevant code looks like this.
UIImageView subclass
- (id)initWithCoder:(NSCoder *)aDecoder
{
self = [super initWithCoder:aDecoder];
if (self)
{
//self.userInteractionEnabled = YES;
previewController = [[PreviewController alloc]init];
[previewController self];
[self addSubview:character];
// Tap Initialization code
UITapGestureRecognizer *tap = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:(PreviewController *)self.previewController action:#selector(addCharacter:)];
[self addGestureRecognizer:tap];
self.userInteractionEnabled = YES;
}
return self;
}
View Controller
- (void)addCharacter:(UITapGestureRecognizer *)t
{
NSLog(#"add character");
imageNSArray = [NSMutableArray array];
uiImg = [UIImage imageNamed:#"homer.png"];
CGPoint loc = [t locationInView:self.view];
character = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:uiImg];
character.center = loc;
[imageNSArray addObject:character];
//Locate the imageNSArray on frameImageView area only.
[self.view addSubview:character];
UIPanGestureRecognizer *pan = [[UIPanGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:#selector(panCharacter:)];
[self.character addGestureRecognizer:pan];
character.userInteractionEnabled = YES;
}
put a view behind your subclassed imageView. Apply the gestureRecognition to the new View.
You can control your tap gesture from new view. Let me know if i am not clear, or if more info needed.
I think what you want is.. .you want to show a image when user taps on screen.
Do following steps:
1. drag & drop a tap gesture recognizer on default view of your view controller.
2. connect (ctrl +) gestureRecognizer with ViewController.m
Take a look at this code. (Just modified your code)
- (IBAction)onTap:(UITapGestureRecognizer *)sender {
NSLog(#"add character");
UIImage * uiImg = [UIImage imageNamed:#"sel.png"];
CGPoint loc = [sender locationInView:self.view];
UIImageView * character = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:uiImg];
character.center = loc;
[self.view addSubview:character];
}
Let me know if this is not what you want…
Edit
better go for this code… No need to do above steps.
- (void)viewDidLoad
{
[super viewDidLoad];
// Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib.
UITapGestureRecognizer *tap = [[UITapGestureRecognizer alloc] initWithTarget:self action:#selector(onTap:)];
[self.view addGestureRecognizer:tap];
self.view.userInteractionEnabled = YES;
}
- (void)onTap:(UITapGestureRecognizer *)sender
{
NSLog(#"add character");
UIImage * uiImg = [UIImage imageNamed:#"sel.png"];
CGPoint loc = [sender locationInView:self.view];
UIImageView * character = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:uiImg];
character.center = loc;
[self.view addSubview:character];
}
