I'm trying to track a basketball in a video file in Matlab. The HistogramBasedTracker class only allows the search histogram of pixel values to be initialized once. I would like to dynamically update the histogram values each time the ball is found in a new frame.
Does anyone know how to do that? I see on the HistogramBasedTracker reference page that the ObjectHistogram property is tunable, but I don't understand what that means. Please help.

You can simply call initializeObject() multiple times.

I am really new to image processing. Currently I am using openCV for processing my video stream.
I am trying to detect if something was added in the frame & if added is there way to keep track of it. I already had tried to use yolo but It is not limited to some object I might have any random object coming in frame.
Secondly, I tried to use background subtraction method, but I have some object which keeps moving.
Thirdly, I tried to use contours but the are not that much accurate enough.
Please guide. I already had invested a month in this task. I have no clue what to do.
I want to create the feature as mentioned below in Picture. The number tells the touch order in the screen and dot tells the position. I want to create as same effect.
We can do this using normal drawing index primitive method. But I want to know whether Is it possible to create this effect using MTKMesh ? Please suggest/give some ideas to perform this in better way ?
You probably shouldn't use a MTKMesh in this case. After all, if you have all of the vertex and index data, you can just place it directly in one or more MTLBuffer objects and use those to draw. Using MetalKit means you'll need to create all kinds of intermediate objects (a MDLVertexDescriptor, a MTKMeshBufferAllocator, one or more mesh buffers, a submesh, and an MDLMesh) only to turn around and iterate all of those superfluous objects to get back to the underlying Metal buffers. MTKMesh exists to make it easy to import 3D content from model files via Model I/O.
I can use Scikit-Learn to train a model and recognize objects but I also need to be able to tell where in my test data images the object is residing. Is there someway I could maybe get the coordinates of the part of the test image which has the object I'm trying to recognize?
If not, please refer me to some other library that'll help me achieve this task.

I assume that you are talking about a computer vision application. Usually, the way that a box is drawn around an identified object is by using a sliding window and running your classifier on each window as it steps across the screen. You can keep track of which windows come back with positive results and use those windows as your bounds. You may wish to use windows of various size, if the object scale changes from image to image. In that case, you would likely want to prefer the smaller of two overlapping windows.
I've created an html page with a jQueryUI slider in one div and a THREE.CubeGeometry in another (see http://codesigntools.com/sample7). The idea is to scale the cube using a global variable (slider1val) which is controlled by the slider. I've looked here and here but no avail. You can see from the linked code that I'm trying to make changes to the cube within the 'animate' function. Is that right?
I'm pretty new to js and to Three.js but I've used processing quite a bit so maybe I'm going about this the wrong way. Is there an example of someting similar I could look at, or could somebody walk me through the process of accessing and manipulating the cube's size with a global variable?

iam working in a project that i take a vedio by a camera and convert this vedio to frames (this part of project is done )
what iam facing now is how to detect moving object in these frames and differentiate them from the background so that i can distinguish between them ?
I recently read an awesome CodeProject article about this. It discusses several approaches to the problem and then walks you step by step through one of the solutions, with complete code. It's written at a very accessible level and should be enough to get you started.
One simple way to do this (if little noise is present, I recommend smoothing kernel thought) is to compute the absolute difference of two consecutive frames. You'll get an image of things that have "moved". The background needs to be pretty static in order to work. If you always get the abs diff from the current frame to the nth frame you'll have a grayscale image with the object that moved. The object has to be different from the background color or it will disappear...
