I'm trying to play two sounds, one right after the other using AVQueuePlayer but neither is getting played. I can play them individually using AVAudioPlayer.
Here is my queue player code:

I fixed it by creating a queuePlayer property and initializing it like this:
queuePlayer = [[AVQueuePlayer alloc]initWithItems:playerItems];

First, it appears you are using initWithData to access an audio file pointed to by a URL.
You should instead use initWithContentsOfURL.
Another issue could be due to a common error in implementing the audio player.
If the AVAudioPlayer you are creating is inside a function, it will be released, or deallocated, at the end of the function. This is why the audio does not play.
To fix this problem, make the AVAudioPlayer a property or instance variable in your class so that it does not get immediately deallocated.
For example, a property is declared in your header as
#property(strong, nonatomic) AVAudioPlayer *audioPlayer;
and initialized in your implementation with
self.audioPlayer = [[AVAudioPlayer alloc] initWithData:soundFileURL error:nil];
If this does not solve your problem, then the issue is likely to do with the file pointed to by your URL.

Your problem is you set NSURL for initWithData -> Wrong.
in case it sound play multi time, you should prepare your sound Data and keep it as strong ref.
and you should use CGD and global queue instead of main queue.

I am using AVPlayerLayer for playing video. I used the below code and it worked fine. The URL(in my case outputFileURL) is similar to your filePath.

You could try to use StreamingKit
Example like in documentation:

Try player.delegate = self before [player play]
I wanted to change volume settings with a UISlider.
I used currentItem inside AVQueuePlayer.
ps0 is an AVQueuePlayer.
I have no error and same sound level when I use my UISlider:

I tried another solution from Apple to change volume settings.
As you can see in this solution, it create a new playerItem and a new player.
But my playerItem is a copy of the current one because I just want to change the sound (not the item). And it is automatically related to the old player.
When I try to use their solution. I have an error message saying:
An AVPlayerItem cannot be associated with more than one instance of AVPlayer
Any suggestion?

I had several problems using AVQueuePlayer and changing playback parameters. If your goal is to use a slider for volume adjustment, I would replace the UISlider with a blank UIView in your storyboard and then instantiate an MPVolumeView within that view. This works reliably for me. Note that MPVolumeView does not show up on the simulator.
I think you are right tigloo. MPVolumeView is the best way to manage sound level.
