UIPopoverController content appears too big - ios

Im trying to present a UIViewController that contains a UIWebView inside a UIPopOverController.
The problem is, that the ViewController inside the popOverController "acts" as if it has an entire screen size so i get scroll indicators and scrolling instead of it just "surrendering" to the container size.
Any suggestions?

Forgot about a "hidden" gem in the UIWebView - "scales page to fit". Once I turned this on, all was good!

popover full screen in iOS 8

I have the following code for a UIPopoverController. It is working fine in iOS 7. However, in iOS 8, the popover becomes full-screen which I do not want. How do I keep the popover from filling the entire screen in iOS8?

See, here is the situation. if you are presenting the popover in iPhone then it will not work in iOS 8 as Apple has completely restricted it even if it was previously working. Now you cannot present popover in iPhone as all the access to the private methods of UIPopover is blocked.

bad orientation in screen with multiple viewcontrollers/ views in iOS 7, landscape only (iOS 8 is fine)

I'm using TheSidebarController to implement add a sliding menu into an iOS application. This is the library I'm using, but I've found the same issue in other libraries, like ECSlidingViewController, etc. They essentially work by adding multiple view controllers onto a containing view controller, nothing too crazy.
The issue is, when you make the app a landscape app, all the screens in the container- the menu, the content screen- seem to think they're in portrait mode, and get cut off half way. You can see the issue in this screenshot where the table is cut off:

I've been trying to get this to work in any way I can, and no luck.

EDIT: people are saying I can stretch the table out to make it look normal, but this just masks the underlying problem, which is the app and/or the screens still think they're in portrait orientation. As a quick example, if I take the example project, and in LeftViewController substitute the following code:

The viewcontroller comes in sideways, not from the top.
This was a strange one... I had to set the frame of the content view controller, which made sense, but then I had to reset it every time the content was refreshed:

In CenterViewController.h make the class a subclass of a UITableViewController instead.
Then comment out [self.view addSubview:self.tableView]; in CenterViewController.m.
Done!
In centerViewController.m, when you create the tableview, add this line:
self.tableView.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth;

How to set width and positon ModalDialog in the center before it loads?

I created a modal dialog in my viewController.

The above changes the width but not the x position of the modal dialog. It works in the modalDialog but then user can see it being resized.
If you want to use
UIModalPresentationFormSheet
the controller will be centred. There is very specific formatting included in this. If you want anything different, you will have to build your own.
The width and height of the presented view are smaller than those of the screen and the view is centered onscreen. If the device is in a landscape orientation and the keyboard is visible, the position of the view is adjusted upward so the view remains visible. All uncovered areas are dimmed to prevent the user from interacting with them.
Try this:

iPad take a shot with UIImagePickerController

I 'm trying to take a shot and it works, but with 2 problems. First, the pop over controller is displayed in a minimum size (it doesn't obey the setPopoverContentSize) and second and most important, the captured shot is only 640x640 pixels, whereas I want to be the maximum available (5MP).
What's the problem in the following code?

You are setting the content size incorrectly. You don't call setPopoverContentSize: on the popover, you call it on the view controller that is displayed in the popover. In your case, set the content size of the image picker.
The image received from the image picker is the full sized image. Perhaps you are obtaining the edited image instead of the original image.

Xcode: How To Create A PopUp View Controller That Appears In Another View Controller

Basically what I am trying to figure out to do is, say I have one View Controller, called V1, that has a regular view inside it and a button. Now, when you tap that button, I want that button to create an action that pop-ups another View Controller, called V2, within the same view controller, V1.
V2 will be reduced in size some so that it does not fill the entire screen, but you can still see the first layer which is V1 behind V2. So basically, you never really leave V1. I hope this makes sense for what I'm trying to do. I know the MTV app has this functionity. You can create such view by setting appropriate property type of modalPresentationStyle. See my example below:

If you want to present this as a modal popup in iOS 8 with a similar style to the OP's screenshot here's what I did:

I like this better than using a UIPopover because you don't need to mess with arrow directions and the user cannot close it by tapping outside of the popup.
These properties can also be set in a storyboard/nib via the designer. To set preferredContentSize check "Use Preferred Explicit Size" and set the values.
This only works on the iPad.

If you're using Storyboard, you can follow this step:
Add a view controller (V2), setup the UI the way you want it
*based on the image you attached
add an UIView - set background to black and opacity to 0.5
add an UIImageView - that will serve as your popup (Pls take note that the image and the view must not have the same level/hierarchy. Dont make the imageview the child of the view otherwise the opacity of the uiview will affect the uiImageView)
Present V2 Modally
Click the segue. In the Attributes inspector, Set Presentation as Over Full Screen. Remove animation if you like
Select V2. In the Attributes inspector, Set Presentation as Over Full Screen. Check Defines Context and Provides Context
Select the MainView of your V2 (Pls. Check image). Set backgroundColor to Clear Color
