In my app i'm using navigation controller in the mainwindow...after that i added iAdd in to the navigation controller (using subclassing of navigation controller).so my problem is when iAdd is comes to the view then view goes beneath of navigation bar and status bar so i'm getting it's frame like this (0,0,320,450) ..... need help to solve this problem ....
i have used this code but it's not working

here "self" is my subclassed navigation controller class object...because all codes for iAdd is managed in the subclassed navigation controller class

I want to make a custom side bar by adding a new view to the view controller, the side bar will be in the yellow color background. I want my side bar also to overlap the navigation bar/item (green background color) in my view controller. but the navigation bar/item seems can't be overlapped by my side bar view, it seems only overlap the main view.
I tried to find the answer in stackoverflow, I find this Overlap navigation bar on ios 6 with other view, but the answer is on the Objective-C, I can't read Objective-C :(

What you need to do to get above the navigation bar is CONTAIN the navigation controller inside another view controller.
The stack would look like this.

You can do this by changing your UIViewController hierarchy. For this you'll need three view controllers. First will contain everything, let's call it MasterViewController; second—your main content with navigation bar; and third—drawer.
In MasterViewController instantiate child view controllers and add them to your view controller hierarchy in viewDidLoad().

I have a navigation controller, and its root view controller is a tab bar controller. In this tab bar controller I have two view controllers like this:
In the tab bar controller I have a custom navigation bar.
When I click the first item in tab bar, the navigation bar looks good
but when I click the second, I have a problem: below the navigation bar there is another navigation bar with red color.
Can some explain this for me?
If you don't want navigation bar of first navigation controller then from the interface builder (storyboard) select your root navigation controller (i.e. navigationcontroller that's embed with tabbarcontroller) and from attribute inspector uncheck shows navigation bar under Navigation controller! This will hide navigation bar for root navigation view controller!!
In your case you should hide and show navigation bar in viewWillDisAppear and viewWillAppear something like,
In viewWillAppear
self.navigationController.navigationBar.hidden = NO;
In viewWillDisAppear
self.navigationController.navigationBar.hidden = YES;
Do above things for your both viewcontroller of your tabbarcontroller!!
You can do navigationController.navigationBarHidden = true on the root navigation controller, or the child whatever suits you.
But the better will be if you use only one UINavigationController, and IMO navigationController of UITabBarController only.
I have an app that uses bottom tabs aswell as a side menu, to have the button that initiates the side menu i use the typical three line menu button, to put that there I have a Navigation Bar. With the bar in place there is no way I can get the bar to be on top of the screen. I built it with interface builder, and heres a screenshot. The question is how do i have the navigation bar alone without the other grey bar above it?
The issue you're encountering is due to the fact that you're manually creating a navigation bar for your view controller, instead of using the bar that you get for free by embedding the view controller in a tab bar controller, hence the reason you see two bars. The other answer suggesting hiding the auto-generated navigation bar is not the correct solution. Instead, you should place your menu button and view title in the auto-generated bar instead of manually creating your own (you almost never want to do that, in-fact).
So what you should do instead is set the title property of your view controller to be "News", and the leftBarButtonItem property of the view controller to be your hamburger menu button (an instance of UIBarButtonItem initialized with an image for the icon).
For example (inside your view controller's viewDidLoad method or wherever appropriate):

If you want to remove the topmost navigation bar you need use self.navigationController.navigationBarHidden = YES; for view controllers that used for tabs in UITabBarController:

I have a UINavigationBar based app. I've created a custom UIView with some titles and added it as a subview to the navigation bar:
[self.navigationController.navigationBar addSubview:_navbarView];
Everything works ok until I hit the back button in the navigation bar and the UIViewController transition occurs.
The problem is that my custom view doesn't fade away like the others elements in the UINavigationBar, it just stays the same and disappears when the transition is complete.
I want it to fade away during the transition like the native elements of the UINavigationBar, is there any way to achieve this?
If you add a subview to the navigation bar, then it will just stay there; the navigation controller doesn't know to do anything special with it. You say your custom view has "some titles" - have you tried doing this instead?
self.navigationItem.titleView = _navbarView;
Then the navigation controller knows that the view should be used in place of your controller's title, and it should animate in and out.
If that doesn't work, you'll need to look at becoming the navigation controller's delegate. Since iOS7, this can get quite complex.
If you need custom navigation bar it could be a good idea to create UINavigationController with custom UINavigationBar

my app is structured as follow: UITabBarController > UINavigationController > ViewControllerOne > ViewControllerTwo.
the UINavigationBar has at the bottom the tab bar, now when the user navigates into the second view controller, i want to be able to hide the tab bar and replace is with a tool bar. i tried this code:

[self.navigationController.toolbar setHidden:NO];
when i run the app the tab bar is hidden but the toolbar doesn't appear. plus, since the last VC is a table view controller, when i scroll through the cells there is a white gap between the table and the bottom of the view. how can i fix that?
That won't work because when you hide the tab bar like that the subviews won't be adjusted properly (that's why you get the white space). You'll have to use
self.hidesBottomBarWhenPushed = YES;
In your init method or awakeFromNib... and then
[self.navigationController setToolbarHidden:NO animated:YES];
In the viewDidLoad for example.
That way the tab bar controller's view is going to layout correctly it's subviews when you hide the tab bar. Just remember to call self.hidesBottomBarWhenPushed = NO; in your first view controller otherwise the tab bar is still going to be hidden when the second view controller is popped from the navigation stack.
Try to assigning toolbar with appropriate frame and adding it to self.tabBarController.view
