Can I use Sony SDK v2 with Basic4android? - sdk

Can I use the Sony SDK v2 with Basic4android? Want touch event and sensor data in my app to evaluate. Does anyone have an example for me?

There is no problem to use the Sony Add-on SDK in combination with other SDKs and libraries. On the smartphone side, you can use Basic4Android to create the user interface. But on the Smartwatch2 you have to use the Sony Add-on SDK, since Basic4android has no support for it.
You can wrap your Java code with Smartwatch support as a library and then reference it from Basic4android IDE. Here is a tutorial on Basic4Android.

Msgraph-sdk-java vs Msgraph-sdk-android for Android?

Has anyone tried Android development using Microsoft Graph SDKs?
What is the preferred SDK for Android? There are two SDKs available - one for Java (msgraph-sdk-java) and one separately for Android (msgraph-sdk-android) and its very confusing to choose between two. No appropriate documentation available as well!
Sorry for the confusion Samhith. We are in the process of deprecating the Android SDK in favour of the Java SDK for Android. The docs here should have mentioned the correct configuration for using Java. That's on me to fix.
There is an example of creating a client for Android here but you are absolutely correct that the guidance is not clear.
There is a dedicated Android Authorization Prodvider that can be found here.
All future work will be in the Java SDK and we will support the Android platform via that SDK.

Is there a way to use Chrome in a webview in an iOS app?

I need to build video chat application with the option to record the video call. I think that most appropriate would be to use WebRTC, specifically Kurento. However, Safari does not support WebRTC at this moment, and the iOS client SDK's don't offer the ability to record the video. This is supported for a javascript client:
http://doc-kurento.readthedocs.io/en/stable/tutorials/java/tutorial-one2one-adv.html
So I was thinking to open a chrome browser inside my app just for the webRTC functionality. I read about Blink WebKit but I'm not sure if this is what I need.
P.S. Any other proposed solutions for the video call + recording features on an iOS app are welcome.
The simple answer is no, you can't use Chrome on IOS for webRTC. Apple for some reason don't like peer to peer technologies, and while they are rumoured to be working on it, there is no announcement yet.
There is this...
cordova-plugin-iosrtc
Cordova iOS plugin exposing the full WebRTC W3C JavaScript APIs.

cordova-plugin-iosrtc. Bug Tracker for reporting issues and requesting
new features (please don't use the bug tracker for questions or
problems, use the mailing list instead). NPM package. Yet another
WebRTC SDK for iOS?
Absolutely not. This plugin exposes the WebRTC W3C API for Cordova iOS
apps (you know there is no WebRTC in iOS, right?), which means no need
to learn "yet another WebRTC API" and no need to use a specific
service/product/provider.

Sony SDK on computer

I would like to use the sony SDK to display image from my SONY alpha 5000 on my computer.
I notice that the supplied SDK is to develop and Android application. Is there a computer version SDK to be able to connect to the camera with the WIFI and control it?
Well, I'm also a newbie on the Sony remote camera API SDK. And I started with the same questions as you. Actually the API SDK can be understand as an instruction set that can be used in fairly any platform. This being said, one option is to workarround the programming language that you manage (Python, C, VB....) and send the instruction through a network service (Myself, I have been trying with network sockets on C#). There are some examples on the web, which are ready to go as Locana and Camera RC, both of which I have found very useful. If you want to make your app yourself, you can check a bit the code for C I posted on this comment (Please do not start with liveview... If you do, and get to do it, let me know). I hope it can be of any help.

What WiFi-Direct Libraries Exist?

I want to play with screen sharing between my apple devices. I know WiFi direct is part of what supports the Airdrop feature to send files between macs and want to play around with that API.
I'll keep on searching, but was wondering if anyone has done this before or if Apple won't let you touch that API.
I'd also be happy to hear about any libraries that may be available specifically for raspberry-pi or for Linux in general.
Thanks
A friend of mine demoed an Android project he was working on the other day that utilized the AllJoyn library. AllJoyn is an open source API that supports Wifi-direct as well as other wireless protocols and is supported on Android, Linux, and iOS. It might be worth looking in to.

Creating Augmented Reality Application for blackberry10

I'm a BlackBerry native applications developer. I'm new in BB10 apps development. I'm supposed to create an Augmented Reality based application in BB10. I've no idea whether there's any third party library available for blackberry10 or not.
I have googled this thing. Have come to know that Wikitude has provided wikitide-SDK for Android and iOS; using it, android and iPhone developers can develop AR (Augmented Reality) Apps very easily. News says that Wikitude will release SDK for BlackBerry later this year.
Do anyone know the exact release date of Wikitide-SDK for BB10(blackberry) ?
Do anyone have any idea about any third library which I can use for developing AR apps for BB10?
Thanks in advance.
As of August first, they've made this press release.
Of interest in that press release is this (emphasis added):
Wikitude’s most recent product launch is the Wikitude SDK, which allows third parties to develop their own AR apps. The company is also preparing an SDK for BlackBerry® 10.
However, they not yet provided a timeline.
Edit: this is now available:

Currently i am exploring Wikitude for BB10. I want to know if Wikitude fetch users location in background or not?
