When I try to upload my iOS application to the app store using the application loader, I get the following errors:
This means that the provisioning profile is invalid. So, I deleted and re-made the provisioning profile, then archived the application using that profile, and I still got this error... I have uploaded this application to iTunesConnect before, and I got no errors, but now, even though I didn't do anything with my profiles, or change it in the application, I'm getting this error.
I have valid and non-expired certificates, and my bundle ID's are correct. The distribution provisioning profiles I have are:
This is happening for my application named SloganGen.
With the Screenshot that you have attached for errors & provisioning profile, looks like the problem is with the "Case Sensitive" name.
Profile : com.slogangen.slogangen
Error : com.slogangen.SloganGen
From apple documentation:
Typically, the bundle ID in your Xcode project is a string formatted as a reverse-domain name such as com.MyCompany.MyProductName, where you replace MyCompanyName and MyProductName with your domain and product name. However, unlike domain names, app IDs and bundle IDs are case sensitive.
Hope that helps.
Try the following:
Remove armv7s from valid architecture in build settings
Make sure you have a certificate for app store.
Check the bundle identifier to make sure that it is same as your certificates.

I would like to export a new build of my Xcode app to iTunes Connect, but I always get the following error:
Failed to create provisioning profile.
The app ID "[myappid].OneSignalNotificationServiceExtension" cannot be registered to
your development team. Change your bundle identifier to a unique string
to try again.
Provisioning profile failed qualification
Profile doesn't include the selected signing certificate.
I tried the following:
Cleaning the build
Restart xCode
Creating new profiles (distribution/development)
Removing .OneSignalNotificationServiceExtension (gives another error)
I don't want to change the app id since I want to continue on the same app (for my testers).
I had to change my password of my Apple ID due to security issues, but I changed it everywhere they asked for it.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
As oneSignalNotification is an Extension, the App Id of the extension should have main App id as prefix. ie, If your main App id is : com.xx.xxapp, then the app id for your extension should be com.xx.xxapp.someExtention. Also you need to have separate provisioning profile for main App and extension target.
I am new in developing an iPhone application with a developer certificate and I got confused when read the steps provided online.
I have created an application in Xcode which I named it finalApp and before I tried to test on my device I tried it on the simulator and it works fine.I have registered for a developer certificate and I have my Iphone developer certificate in my Keychain Access which looks like this:
What I did afterwards was to go to my application's build setting and change all my code singing to this cert which is under Identities without Provisioning Profiles( I suspect something I did here might be wrong or incomplete). Next I change my running device to my device name which is iPhone. After which I ran the program and it gives me this message.
Code Sign error:A valid provisioning profile matching the application's Identifier **None.finalApp** could not be found.
So based on this error I am guessing that I have missed out creating a provisioning profile? Or is there any thing else that I left out? What should I do in order to install my application in my iPhone?
This type of ERROR is come because of Bundle identifier are diffrent.
In your application.plist change Bundle identifier as com.yourcomanyname.appname or what ever you used during creating the App Id.
in your case you are using None.finalApp which are not matching with your Bundle Id.
As soon as I check "Use Entitlements File" in Xcode, I get the following error when I try to run my app on my phone:
The executable was signed with invalid entitlements.
The entitlements specified in your application’s Code Signing Entitlements
file do not match those specified in your provisioning profile.
I'm trying to get iCloud working, and it seems like I'm failing on step 1. I can run in the emulator, but not in the device I provisioned automatically through the organizer.
What am I doing incorrectly here?
First of all, you need to have specific provisioning for your App's ID, matching its bundle ID. Even if it's only for development, generic Team Provisioning cannot work to test iCloud.
If the App ID had been issued without iCloud enabled, and updated afterward, related Provisioning must be updated also.
Often, provisioning updating from Xcode's organizer fails to bring the right one. In this case, I suggest you to try to download updated provisioning directly from iOS Developer Website.
In my case, I have added inter-app capability in my iOS project and Xcode automatically suggested to add this permission in the app id (bundle id) in the provisioning portal and I did so. After this
I thought it was fixed since Xcode was showing tick marks for all under inter-app audio sections as follows
Add the "Inter-App-Audio" entitlement to your APP ID
Add the "Inter-App-Audio" entitlement to your entitlements file
Link AudioToolbox.framework.
Actually it was not fixed and I had to generate another distribution certificate with inter-app enabled and only when I signed with that distribution certificate I was able to install the app.
You Need to have Developer Certificate And Private Key in your keychain And Provision profile that have created must match with this Certificate.
I just added a new device to the provisioning portal, generated certificate, mobileprovision, etc. My keychain has the certificate in it, my device has the app's profile on it, and there's a green checkmark underneath Status. In the build status tab of the project underneath Code Signing Identity both Debug and Release say "currently matches [my information]". However, when I try to run the app on my phone I get "A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found."
Extra information that may or may not be relevant: The app was running in the simulator but when I tried to build it for the iPhone I got the Mach-O linker problem with armv7 architecture because I hadn't linked the necessary frameworks. So I created a new target and added the appropriate files. This target does say that my Code Signing Identity matches, and it's where I got the bundle identifier to generate the provisioning.
I have tried cleaning and building again.
Possible solutions:
Sometimes there may be two different provisioning profiles with same names in Xcode for different AppIDs. Windows/Organizer(Shift+Cmd+2)/Library/Provisioning Profiles/. Check if you use the correct one.
In Apple Developer Portal and Organizer check, if your provisioning profile is not expired.
Check, if the provisioning profile has proper AppID or WildCard AppID. Check if it matches to the Bundle ID in Info-Plist of your project. Check also Device IDs.
Did you use the same Mac before? The certificate, that is used in Provisioning Profile creation is bound to the Mac. Try to completely recreate it on your Mac or get a key file from other Mac for that certificate.
I ended up deleting all of the provisioning profiles and certificates on my computer, invalidating my cert on apple, and then requesting and creating a new one. Now everything works.
I have an IOS app archive that I want to validate and export so that I can upload it to itunes connect for testing with internal users first, then eventually beta testers. When I attempt to validate or export the archive I get a dialog titled "Failed to locate or generate matching signing assets:" with a message "Xcode attempted to locate or generate matching signing assests and failed to do so because of the following: An App ID with Indentifier 'myAppBundleId' is not available. Please enter a different string."
In the Apple Developer Member Center I had long ago created an app id for my app, corresponding APN ssl certificates, and a corresponding provisioning profile. Since I was unable to proceed as per the above dialog I tried giving my app a new bundle id, but when I then went to create an Archive with the new bundle ID it failed with a message "No matching provisioning profiles found". I next tried creating a new App ID that had an ID that matched my new bundle ID. When creating this new App ID I needed to enable push notifications, but it didn't show as enabled until I generated new SSL Certs.
I'm totally confused by all of this so this question really is about somehow finding clarity. I have a ton of unanswered questions that come to mind as I try to navigate this confusing Apple ecosystem. Some relate to the original issue and some are new questions that came up while trying things. I'll list:
When I created a new App ID for the same App, and created SSL certificates, I just reused the the CSR that I had previously created for the other earlier app ID. My thinking was that this might enable me to not actually have to do anything to my app or server since the CSR is the old one. But I'm wondering if it would fail because the bundle IDs and app IDs are new? I can't recall if there was anything in the CSR that matched to the bundle ID or App ID.
Is the app ID the same as the bundle ID?
In Developer Member Center under iOS Provisioning Profiles, there is a column titled "status". My older provisioning profiles say "Active (managed by Xcode)" and my newest ad-hoc provisioning profile says just "Active". What is the difference between the two? What makes a provisional profile managed by Xcode?
In itunes connect my bundle id is prefixed with the xcode bundle id suffix. E.g. my bundle ID in Xcode is FirstName-LastName.AppName, but in itunes connect it puts AppName - FirstName-LastName.AppName. what the heck?
Does Xcode ever automatically create an App ID?
I read that itunes connect's testflight doesn't require provisioning profiles for internal users, yet Xcode is complaining that "No Matching provisional profiles found" when I attempt to make the Archive with my new Bundle ID. Is a provisioning profile required for internal users or not?
Is there a good and up to date and comprehensive resource covering
the essentials of things like app ids, bundle Ids, testflight,
provisioning profiles, how provisioning profiles relate to app IDs,
etc. I'm left confused by Apples docs, and I've found one tutorial
on youtube that was somewhat helpful and current but not
comprehensive enough and didn't get me beyond the issues I'm
encountering. It was titled "Basically: iOS TestFlight Beta
Testing" in case anyone reading this is interested.
I'm confused by the message in Xcode "None of the valid provisioning profiles allowed the specified capabilities: Features: push, interAppAudio, and passbook". My confusion is because in Developer Member Center these features are setup when creating an App ID not when creating a provisional profile.
Any help or advice is appreciated.
I had the same issue a few days ago, fixed it by removing all invalid provisioning profiles from my account on https://developer.apple.com/, then I created a new valid provisioning profile and added the newly created one in XCode. Then in build settings I selected the valid provisioning profile instead of auto, and I was able to export with no issues. Good luck :)
