For anyone else who has a similar problem, this version of glassfish is not supported. I used the next version up and it fixed the problem.

I'm facing a problem since I migrate from Docker Toolbox for windows to Docker Desktop as the old one is now deprecated and not in development.
I created a new Liferay 7.2 workspace and generated a sample mvc portlet module and I'm trying to create a docker container as described in the Help Center. So I did not customize any stuff in Liferay until now, I just try to see how an image would be generated.
I executed the gradle task createDockerContainer and everything went ok until such final step where I got the error below:
...
Step 7/7 : COPY --chown=liferay:liferay 100_liferay_image_setup.sh /usr/local/liferay/scripts/pre-configure/100_liferay_image_setup.sh
Successfully built 18zsebqz71b
Successfully tagged sample-project:7.2.1-ga2

* What went wrong:
Execution failed for task ':createDockerContainer'.

I have my doubts about windows paths...
My configuration :
Docker desktop 2.4.0
Liferay 7.2.1-ga2
WSL2 enabled
WINDOWS 10 HOME (2004)
Liferay Gradle workspace plugin 3.0.11
gradle properties plugin 1.4.6
Thanks for your help !
I faced the same problem and fixed it following the instructions below from https://liferay.dev/blogs/-/blogs/local-work-with-dxp-cloud:

A2: Update your Workspace version to at least 3.3.2. If you are using a newly generated workspace, this should not be an issue.
In gradle.settings, update the version number of “com.liferay.gradle.plugins.workspace” to version 3.3.2
I have a SonarQube 5.6 installed since a year now, It's integrated with TFS. Installed with few additional plugins, C#, dependency-check, fxcop, java, Checkmarx, scm-cvs, scm-git, scm-svn and scm-tfvc.
everything was working fine. Today it's started failing build with error

From the error, I can it's something related to C# plugin. I checked that plugin under /extensions/plugins and it's there. I thought it can be something compatibility issue, I tried to upgrade it to latest one 6.0
After installing 6.0 tried again and got the same error.
I also tried with old version of same plugins. tried 5.3, 5.0. After manually copied jar file under /plugins. Tried to restart the sonar server and it didn't started successfully. I got the error as below,

can someone please help to fix this issue?
You need to update the Scanner for MsBuild as well. The old versions are not compatible with SonarC# 6+.
I fixed this issue by removing FxCop plugin. Somehow that plugin stopped working. can be the version what i was using that was not compatible with C# plugin. I installed C# plugin version 5.0 (latest is 6.0)
as mentioned above, if i want to use C# latest version, i need to update sonar scanner for MSBuild.
I'm trying to run sling framework.
After building it from sources I have org.apache.sling.launchpad-7-SNAPSHOT.war file.
When I'm deploying it in tomcat7 I'm getting
SEVERE: sling: Failed installing jndi:/localhost/sling/WEB-INF/resources/org.apache.sling.launchpad.base.jar
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /var/lib/tomcat7/sling/_sling /Loader_tmp_1397075933316org.apache.sling.launchpad.base.jar (Permission denied)
at java.io.FileOutputStream.open(Native Method)
Have you any suggestions how to overcome this problem?
The Loader_tmp_ pattern in the problematic file makes me think this happens in the Sling Loader class when it tries to create a temporary file there. I'd check whether the tomcat process has read/write access to the /var/lib/tomcat7/sling folder.
I'm having trouble running Grails on my PC (running Windows 7).
It's been a couple of years since I last worked with Grails, and I have a new computer. So I downloaded Grails and NetBeans and followed the instructions. (Grails: version 2.3.7, NetBeans: version 7.4.)
Everything seems to be working. Both the Java JDK and Grails work - I can run "grails" from the command prompt. And it was easy to activate the support for Grails in NetBeans.
I created a very simple "Hello world" application. It compiles fine - and I can run "grails war" to create a War file. But I can't get it to run on my PC. I get the same error using "Run" in NetBeans and when running "grails run-app" at the command prompt:
|Running Grails application
Error opening zip file or JAR manifest missing : C:\Program%20Files\Grails
\lib\org.springframework\springloaded\jars\springloaded-1.1.5.RELEASE.jar
Error occurred during initialization of VM
agent library failed to init: instrument
Error |
Forked Grails VM exited with error
And the program won't start. The jar in question isn't missing, so I can't see what's wrong. Any ideas? I'd be more than grateful for some help! :-)

Move your copy of grails to C:\ and try again.
There is a known problem with location with space symbol. You can see it in stacktrace:

I get the following exception when trying to generate RMIC using Ant task.
[wsejbdeploy] Error generating RMI code: RMIC command failed on project: .... with message:
[wsejbdeploy] error: The IBM RMIC version 0x1500 does not match the IBM runtime version 0x1600.
Please let me know how to fix this.
I am trying this using the WebSphere 6.1 server that comes bundled with RAD7.5.
This works fine when we use IDE to generate the EAR, and fails only when we use our custom Ant build file.
The error means that JAVA_HOME in your shell used to invoke Ant is different from the Java that was included with the embedded WebSphere Application Server. Try using the WAS_HOME/bin/ws_ant script, or set JAVA_HOME to WAS_HOME/java/.
The error
Cannot run RMIC because it is not installed. Expected location of RMIC is the following:
will some times confuse. enable the "Capture RMIC verbose output to the workspace .log file.
and see what the exact error your getting. This option will be available in properties > EJBDeployment.
In My case it throwing error due to huge number of jars in class path.It got resolved after shortening the class path jar location.
