I am using highstock and tried to move the points on a spline serie on the xAxis by setting pointPlacement:0.5. But it seems that it does not work on splines or lines. If I define the series as column it works as expected. With reference to the Highstock Options Reference I think this should work as well for other chart types as this option is also listed under the spline description
Is there any other way to get the points shifted along the xAxis.

pointPlacement works only in the column chart.

I got an situation like this. I would like to using line chart to draw stacked value. I have tried google search but i can't find the solution.
For example: On date May/23 i got 3 values, i would like to display these on line-chart.

Regarding the tooltip, I would suggest using a scatter series instead of a line. Set the lineWidth in the plotOptions and it will plot just like a line series, but the tool tips are handled differently. Example: jsfiddle.net/jlbriggs/c1o8Lwgv
Is it possible to change the plot line from some specific point. One way around is to create two series and plot them on chart them. But we want to change the plot lines from specific point without using two series.
I would like to fill the area between two serieses (when serieses cross each other). See below. I tried the 'arearange' chart type but it filled most of the chart with solid colors. I saw a similar question but I wanted to know if Highcharts supports what I want or I have to use the solution posted in that question.

I want to make a multiple plots with the x-axis aligned so that we can compare two set of data. I want it to look like this

In my case there are some addition requirement that some of the plot are lines and some are bar. So the default scale does not align even if the data range are the same.
I found some good suggestion about "stacking" the charts. It is a little bit complicated but a promising way to try.

However I also have other use case that may push the envelop of simple stacking. For example, I'd like to do scatter plot matrix sometime when both x-axis and y-axis have to align like this

Rather than putting many chart in one Highchart, this may requires have many separate charts but have better control in how the axis is layout.
If you want to use one one chart, you can use linkedTo option to connect axis.
If you want more simple charts, you can manage to connect axis using event afterSetExtremes, where you can call setExtremes() for another chart.
When using Highcharts, is it possible to change the contents of the legend to display something other than the series?
For example, I have a scatter chart with just one series but with many elements, so that the element labels obstruct one another and are illegible:
Would it be possible to use the legend to display the element names instead of the series? (each member in the series has a different color so that it is possible to use the legend in this case)

Highcharts allows to show data points instead of series name in the in the legend. But, Unfortunately its only for Pie charts type:pie.
There is a default option available for the Pie Chart though undocumented in the API.

If you try to set it for other type of chart, Legend does not gets rendered.
