UITextView attributes inspector not showing full set of attributes - ios

I have two Macs, both with the latest OS and Xcode versions. We're developing for iOS7.
On one Mac, everything seems OK. On the other, when I drop a UITextField onto a View Controller scene, the attributes inspector shows only a small subset of the attributes available.
I would expect to see something similar to the UITextView attributes but instead I see only this:
Have I done something wrong here or is this a bug? I seem to remember having edited attributes on a UITextField that I added earlier to another scene (font, text size, etc) but these are not available now.

I made a stupid mistake and I guess that someone else could do the same. I must have inadvertently clicked on the "Text Field" label at the top of the attributes panel and then scrolled up, missing it completely.
Doh!

MKMapView Legal label shows as <unlocalized>

I've added an MKMapView as a subview on one of my ViewControllers in an XIB. The map works alright in terms of showing directions. But the Legal text on the map (bottom left) shows as <unlocalized> instead of having a text saying Legal in whatever language is selected (or even English).
How do I fix this? Thanks.
Note: My app supports 6 languages if it makes a difference (but none of the XIBs are localized)
I couldn`t reproduce this but it seems like an issue in the localization file. This guy has a similar problem and resolved it by removing localization files (and creating new I think).
Of course, you can always set directly your localized string to Legal MKAttributionLabel, by getting it from MKMapView subviews, and using setValue(_:forKey:) with _innerText and _strokeText keys. But notice that this is private API :)
I can think of 2 possible solution but didn't. One is to check which subview of all your MKMapView's subviews for that specific label and add move it out of the window or scale it down to 0. The other one would be similar but by subclassing you MKMapView and try to hide this label in layoutSubviews method.

Text Field doesn't active for Static Cell in Table View Controller?

I have Single View App for IOS Xcode 6.4. Example Add Player screen, I tried it by myself, but Text Field doesn't active to click and typing at my application simulator (UITableViewController Static Cell) I have compared my project with example final project, everything looks good similar. How to fix this problem?
First you try with cmd+k that will open the simulator's keyboard. If that is not working then try with cmd+shit+k that may hide your keyboard but you can able to type on the text filed. If that also not work then you may accidentally off the user interaction for text field. Or may be some other view covering your text field which is transparent, so you are not able to see it. I hope that will save your problem, otherwise please provide your code sample.
There is a bug in the segue transition. Set the transition to None and it should work. I had the problem with a Curl transition.

UITextField not responding to touch in iOS8?

So I have multiple UITextFields in my storyboard, but there is one isolated field that will not respond to any touch (neither in the simulator nor on the device) for all iOS versions, besides on the very right side of the field? This may have something to do with the constraints/frame of the field, but I have tried resolving autolayout issues, but nothing seems to work.
This is what my storyboard looks like (with the malfunctioning UITextField selected):
And this is what the simulator looks like:
Any ideas? There is very little functionality code-wise, so I imagine this is an Xcode formatting thing.
Form the picture it looks like the picker is actual over the textfield. It doesn't look like it but those are rather tall. You could try panning on the text field and see if the picker moves. Also you can try hiding it and see if that changes anything.
Good luck and hope that helps.

UIButton title set in Storyboard is missing when run

I am quite new to iOS development and I encountered a problem when I was trying out a simple calculator tutorial. For some reason, the "0" and "=" does not appear on the iOS simulator while it appeared perfectly fine on the user interface shown on XCode.
Any idea on how to resolve this problem?
Thanks! =)
Just set the Style value to "Default" from "Attributes Inspector" tab as shown in the image below.
Now you should see the Font, Color and other attributed properties are back :)
In my case the button title disappeared, when I made changes to its attributes. Changing the Button title back to 'plain' and back again to 'attributed' made the text visible again.
One possibility could be that you accidentally set the titles of those two buttons on a control state other than default or UIControlStateNormal.
The buttons in your screenshot are in a state called UIControlStateNormal because they aren't being tapped or disabled. Select the buttons and make sure the 'State Config' option in the Attributes inspector is set to 'Default' when you're setting your title in Storyboard.
EDIT
Autolayout sometimes causes unintended behavior like this. If you aren't relying on Autolayout and don't plan to, you can turn it off in the File inspector. If you are relying on Autolayout, you'll have to write some code to undo the unintended behavior it's causing.

Why are two different UIToolbars, defaulting to different styles?

Consider the following two toolbars that are in the same project of mine:
Notice that these toolbars look different? The problem is that they were both created by dragging and dropping them into IB, and I didn't change any of there associated properties. All that I did change was adding the flex controller, and change the text on the initial UIButtonBarItem. Other than that, these Toolbars have not been modified and, furthermore, I've verified that their properties are exactly the same in the Attribute inspector.
How or why are they different? Furthermore, how can I get the first, bluish UIToolbar to look like the grey one since the available Black Opaque and Black Translucent styles look nothing like the grey one?
Am I missing something? This doesn't make any since.
I've found why this is happening but I'm a bit clueless on how to change this. See this, new question regarding a fix for this issue.
These Toolbars are changed due to internal Xib settings that are specified when the Xib is created. In the first example, when I created the UIViewController I must have unchecked the Target for iPad check box, even this is for an iPad project.
This changed the default size of the initial UIView that was in the Nib. I always cut off the statusbar and set the view to be freeform in sizing as soon as I create a UIView within a Xib file, so I can never tell by looking at my views whether they were targeted for the iPad or not.
When I created the second UIViewController object, I checked the Targeted for iPad option. Now, my toolbar is styled with a grey tone.
The lesson learned is obvious-- if you want consistency in the default style of your objects that you pull from the IB Toolbox, be sure to create your UIViewControllers, specifically targeted for the iOS device. If you've made the same mistake that I have, follow the linked question above for how to revert your UIViewController and Xib file to the other style of View Controller.
