how to add the css effect on struts2 jquery tree - struts2

I'm having problem with my jquery tree view. now I'm using this : http://struts.jgeppert.com/struts2-jquery-showcase/index.action
I want to make the css background on selected tree node after the node is clicked. How should I do, pls give me some idea? The css effect displays when handover on tree node
but, after clicked, the css effect does not show.
I added this <sj:head jqueryui="true" jquerytheme="showcase" /> in head tag
, added the following code in script
$(function(){
$.subscribe('treeClicked', function (event, data){
alert("treeClicked");// check if script called on page load
//Get the next item, this is the tree node object is selected, many operations need it
var item = event.originalEvent.data.rslt.obj;
//For example, we want to select the node id suggest, you can write like this
alert ('Clicked ID : ' + item.attr ("id"));
document.getElementById("g_selected_uid").value = item.attr("id");
document.forms.selectedUnitForm.submit();
//self.close();
});
});
and then here is my jquery tree code -
<sjt:tree id="treeDynamicAjax"
jstreetheme="apple"
rootNode="#session.UNT_LIST"
childCollectionProperty="children"
nodeTitleProperty="title"
nodeIdProperty="id"
openAllOnLoad="true"
onClickTopics="treeClicked"
></sjt:tree>

how to transfer data from <a> tag to popup dialog in jquery mobile?

i dynamically generate this html code to delete an item with an id=3 for example:
"<a href='javascript:delete('" + item.id + "')>";
when i click this, it will execute delete('3');i change it as:
<a href='#delete' data-rel='popup' data-position-to='window' data-transition='pop'>
and add a dialog for this tag:
<div data-role='popup' id='delete'>
<a href='javascript:delete(item.id)' data-role='button'>delete</a>
</div>
how to transfer the item's id to this popup dialog's tag, any suggestion?
I feel like you might be going through the wrong way to achieve this. Some things to change :
delete is a JavaScript keyword. You cant use it as a function.
Don't use the onclick attribute. It results in duplication. Instead, you could use a click event for repetitive actions.
You seem to have gotten the idea to create multiple popups (one for each click of the anchor tag). I think one would do.
Now, in correlation with whatever I've just put down, here's some sample code.
HTML
<a href='#' class='delete' data-num='" + i + "'>Delete me</a>
(Note the data-num attribute in the HTML, the addition of class attribute and the removal of onclick in your code)
It could be replaced by JS which looks like this :
$(this).on("click", ".delete", function (e) {
//prevent default action
e.preventDefault();
//take the id value
var id = $(this).data("num");
//send that value to the popup
$("#delete").find("span").html(id).end().popup("open");
});

Remove hash id from url

I have a menu header and when you click one of the menu links it directs to another page half way down (which i want) as it finds the relevant div id name. I was wondering if there is a way to clean the url back up again so it doesn't include the #id in my url? Tried window.location hash and this breaks it from scrolling and leaves the # in the url. Here is what i have:
In my menu: <li><a href="about#scroll-to" ....
And on the about page, it scrolls down to a div called #scroll-to..<div id="scroll-to"></div>
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
Using jquery, you can make a POST call to the target page when menu is clicked.
The POST data will contain the id of the div where you want to slide to.
On your target page, use your server language (php, asp) to output that id in a js variable and on document ready slide using jquery to that id.
Then you will have a clean url, and the page scrolling to your div.
---- edit: here comes the code!
Lets use jquery to make a POST to the target page, when a menu item is clicked. We will add a class, lets say, "mymenuitem". We will add this class to our link in the menu. So we will have
<li>Information about us</li>
(the onClick stops link from redirecting manually)
and an empty form (put it after the < body >)
<form id="slidinganchorform" method="post" action="YOURTARGETPAGE.HTML"></form>
then we will create the neccessary jquery so when the < a > tag with class "mymenuitem" is clicked, we will make a POST to the target page.
<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
$(".mymenuitem").click(function() {
// we will split the clicked href's value by # so we will get [0]="about" [1]="scroll-to"
var the_anchor_id_to_scroll_to = $(this).attr("href").split('#')[1];
// lets do the POST (we WILL TRIGGER a normal FORM POST while appending the correct id)
$("#slidinganchorform").append('<input type="hidden" name="anchorid" value="'+ the_anchor_id_to_scroll_to + '">');
$("#slidinganchorform").submit();
});
});
</script>
then in our YOURTARGETPAGE.HTML we will have something like (let's assume we use php)
<head>
<!-- make sure your jquery is loaded ;) -->
<?php
if($_POST['anchorid']!='')
{
?>
<script type="text/javascript">
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
// lets get the position of the anchor (must be like <a name="scroll-to" id="scroll-to">Information</a>)
var thePositiontoScrollTo = jQuery('#<?php echo $_POST['anchorid']; ?>').offset().top;
// Lets scroll
jQuery('html, body').animate({scrollTop:thePositiontoScrollTo}, 'slow');
});
</script>
<?php
}
?>
</head>
be sure the correct id must exist ;)
<a name="scroll-to" id="scroll-to">Information about us or whatever...</a>
(remove your old code because i changed some variable names and it will be difficult to debug if there are parts from the previous version. write everything from the start )
You can do this when the new page loads
history.pushState("", document.title, window.location.pathname);
However it will also remove the query string. Although, you could play with it a little bit to keep it

Using sortable with Tag-it jqueryui

I've been using the tag-it plugin from https://github.com/aehlke/tag-it (demo - http://aehlke.github.com/tag-it/examples.html).
In this code there is an option to display the inputted tags in another input, textarea etc. First option -
$('#singleFieldTags').tagit({
availableTags: sampleTags,
singleField: true,
singleFieldNode: $('#mySingleField')
});
Here the id - #singleFieldTags is the inputting field which is a list like <ul and id - #mySingleField displays the 'list-ordered' tags with commas between each.
All the tags that are added and removed in the #singleFieldTags appear in the #mySingleField. Since there is no built-it sortable function with tag-it, adding a sortable() to change the order of tags in #singleFieldTags, does not change the order of tags in #mySingleField.
The second option is a plain with only #singleFieldTags as follows :-
$('#singleFieldTags').tagit({
availableTags: sampleTags,
});
Although in tag-it.js there is a , the value does not appear in the mysql table after submitting the php form as the above list of tags is placed between <li></li>.
How is it possible to make the tags sortable and ensure that the same arrangement of tags in the list field <ul to be displayed in the <textarea as in First Option? Or How can the second option of sorting tags within a single field <input work and enabling it to be submitted by a form?
EDIT: There is a similar plugin like Tag-it called tagit here: http://webspirited.com/tagit/ . This plugin has sortable with an input box meaning if the tags were interchanged, and when submitted on form it would appear in the order of the sort. However, the disadvantage being that it has custom themeroller themes these are not similar and cannot even be linked to the ones at jQuery UI (jqueryui.com).
But on the other hand, the tag-it plugin (not tagit), can be loaded with these themes but does not provide the sortable function.
Here's a solution that uses the tag-it plugin, because I understand that your missing functionality is explained in your quote "...adding a sortable() to change the order of tags in #singleFieldTags, does not change the order of tags in #mySingleField".
In order to have "#mySingleField" reflect the new sort order, I'm adding a handler to the stop event of sortable():
$('#singleFieldTags').sortable({
stop: function(event,ui) {
$('#mySingleField').val(
$(".tagit-label",$(this))
.clone()
.text(function(index,text){ return (index == 0) ? text : "," + text; })
.text()
);
}
});
and
$('#singleFieldTags2').siblings(".tagit").sortable({
stop: function(event,ui) {
$('#singleFieldTags2').val(
$(".tagit-label",$(this))
.clone()
.text(function(index,text){ return (index == 0) ? text : "," + text; })
.text()
);
console.log( $('#singleFieldTags2').val() ); // just for reference
}
});
Here is a jsfiddle that demonstrates the functionality
(added functionality for single input field)

Append html to div not working on cordova iOS

I am using cordova 2.2.0 with Xcode 4.5.2. On one of my pages I have a select component and once a particular option is selected I want to display a table within a div. My html looks like this: <div class="hero-unit" id="#facprog"></div>
The javascript/jquery looks like this:
<pre><code>
$(function() {
$('#selFaculty').change(function() {
var facultyName = $('#selFaculty').val();
var progDetails = app.fillFacultyProgramme(facultyName);
alert(progDetails);
$('#facprog').append(progDetails);
});
});
</code></pre>
Note that #selFaculty is the id of the select object. However, when the select option changes, everything in javascript executes except for the append. Nothing shows up in the div. Is there a different way to add html element to a div in jquery under cordova 2.2.0 in iOS?
Thanks in advance,
José
With jquery you can refresh a div.
This is a good example:
<script>
var auto_refresh = setInterval(
function()
{
$('#loaddiv').fadeOut('slow').load('reload.php').fadeIn("slow");
}, 20000);
</script>
and now you need to put the div in the body section of your page
<div id="loaddiv">
</div>
from http://designgala.com/how-to-refresh-div-using-jquery/
and there is another example here:
refresh div with jquery
The first example is useful when you need to load a script and refresh and the second one is useful when you need to make a change, e.g. append html and then refresh as in your case.

How to overlay xul with no id?

I'm writing a firefox addon and I'm trying to use an xul overlay to insert a canvas element. The problem is, the parent xul node of where I want to insert the canvas element has no id. Is it possible to do if there's no id? I also tried using the anonid for elements that had no id as you can see below, but had no luck with that either.
My xul overlay:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<overlay id="myOverlay"
xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"
xmlns:html="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<tabbrowser id="content">
<tabbox anonid="tabbox">
<tabpanels anonid="panelcontainer">
<notificationbox>
<stack anonid="browserStack">
<html:canvas id="myCanvas" height="100%" />
</stack>
</notificationbox>
</tabpanels>
</tabbox>
</tabbrowser>
</overlay>
I would like the canvas element to be inserted after each browser element in each tab like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/thegooddale/80eae9ee.jpg
There are multiple issues with the attempt to use overlays for this:
Overlays don't work without an ID, they simply don't have another way to address an element.
Overlays cannot apply to something that isn't there when the window loads - they are a one-time thing and cannot consider dynamic elements that are created later.
Overlays cannot apply to anonymous elements (displayed in red in DOM Inspector). These elements are injected by an XBL binding and are not part of the XUL document.
You will have to use JavaScript and inject your canvas "manually" each time. You can use the TabOpen event to get notified whenever a tab is opened. Something like this should work (untested code):
// Always wait for the window to initialize first
window.addEventListener("load", function()
{
function initTab(tab)
{
var browser = window.gBrowser.getBrowserForTab(tab);
var canvas = document.createElementNS("http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml",
"canvas");
canvas.setAttribute("anonid", "myCanvas");
canvas.setAttribute("height", "100%");
browser.parentNode.appendChild(canvas);
}
// Init all existing tabs first
var tabs = window.gBrowser.tabs;
for (var i = 0; i < tabs.length; i++)
initTab(tabs[i]);
// Listen to TabOpen to init any new tabs opened
window.gBrowser.tabContainer.addEventListener("TabOpen", function(event)
{
initTab(event.target);
}, false);
}, false)
Note that this code sets anonid attribute rather than id - an ID is supposed to be unique, you shouldn't assign the same ID to a dozen elements.
This won't work without an id. You could insert a piece of Javascript in the XUL document, that uses document.querySelector to find the tabpanels inside your XBL binding, and then would append the dynamically-created canvas to id.
However, since a new notificationbox is created every time a new tab is opened, you should have your javascript watch for new tabs and insert the canvasses accordingly.
