How to close PopupView and show a notification in the same request? - vaadin

I experienced the following problem with PopupViews: My application has an error handler set in the UI and this error handler shows some error notification by invoking Notification.show(...) when it receives error event. In a popup view I have a button, which performs some action. When one clicks the button, the popup view is closed (by invoking setPopupVisible(false)) and the action is executed. However, if the action fails to run and throws an exception, I expect the exception to be handled by the UI and the error message is to be shown on the screen. Unfortunately, the handler receives the error event and invokes Notification.show, but no message is shown.
Has someone faced the similar issue?

You can use other notification system and run async JavaScript code.
Also you can wrap any other notification system in 10 minutes (implement Vaadin AbstractJavaScriptComponent), for example noty2 (for use should be included jQuery lib): http://needim.github.io/noty/
and show notif when you action executed like this:
new Notty("WARNING<br>description... (static)", Notty.Type.WARNING).show(UI.getCurrent());
new Notty("WARNING<br>description... (close in 3000ms)", Notty.Type.WARNING, 3000).show(UI.getCurrent());
new Notty("WARNING<br>description... (modal)", Notty.Type.WARNING, 0, true).show(UI.getCurrent());
new Notty("WARNING<br>description... (modal force, close in 3000ms)", Notty.Type.WARNING, 3000, true, true).show(UI.getCurrent());
new Notty("asd", Notty.Type.ERROR, 5000).show(UI.getCurrent());

it should look like this:

Maybe the handler is in a different thread and not in the UI thread. I got the same weird behavoir trying to enable a disabled button which did not worked until i used
Button button = new Button("foo")
// ...
getUI().access(new Runnable(){
public void run() {
button.setEnabled(true)
}
})

Is there an solution for java.lang.IllegalStateException: Reply already submitted

I want to use pusher sdk in Flutter from android native code because its library no yet completely supported in flutter but when i send first message it received it successfully the next message make app crush with Reply already submitted error her on this line result.success(txt);
public class MainActivity extends FlutterActivity {
private static final String CHANNEL = "demo.gawkat.com/info";
#Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
GeneratedPluginRegistrant.registerWith(this);
new MethodChannel(getFlutterView(), CHANNEL).setMethodCallHandler((methodCall, result) -> {
final Map<String, Object> arguments = methodCall.arguments();
if (methodCall.method.equals("getMessage")) {
Pusher pusher = new Pusher("faa685e4bb3003eb825c");
pusher.connect();
Channel channel = pusher.subscribe("messages");
channel.bind("new_message", (channelName, eventName, data) -> runOnUiThread(() -> {
Gson gson = new Gson();
Message message = gson.fromJson(data, Message.class);
String txt = message.text;
result.success(txt);
}));
}
});
}
}
Flutter code:
Future<String> _getMessage() async {
String value;
try {
value = await platform.invokeMethod('getMessage');
} catch (e) {
print(e);
}
return value;
}

I think it is happening after Flutter upgrade > 1.5.4.hotfix.
Anyway, Yes there is a solution (Refer this github issue),
In your Activitybelow onCreate() add this class:
private static class MethodResultWrapper implements MethodChannel.Result {
private MethodChannel.Result methodResult;
private Handler handler;
MethodResultWrapper(MethodChannel.Result result) {
methodResult = result;
handler = new Handler(Looper.getMainLooper());
}
#Override
public void success(final Object result) {
handler.post(
new Runnable() {
#Override
public void run() {
methodResult.success(result);
}
});
}
#Override
public void error(
final String errorCode, final String errorMessage, final Object errorDetails) {
handler.post(
new Runnable() {
#Override
public void run() {
methodResult.error(errorCode, errorMessage, errorDetails);
}
});
}
#Override
public void notImplemented() {
handler.post(
new Runnable() {
#Override
public void run() {
methodResult.notImplemented();
}
});
}
}
Then, instead of using MethodChannel result to setMethodCallHandler argument callback add name as rawResult and then inside that callback, add this line:
MethodChannel.Result result = new MethodResultWrapper(rawResult);
As below:
//......
new MethodChannel(getFlutterView(), CHANNEL).setMethodCallHandler(
(call, rawResult) -> {
MethodChannel.Result result = new MethodResultWrapper(rawResult);
//.....
I use flags for this problem.
Just make sure that methods of same channels are called simultaneously.
The problem seem to appear then.
If two methods needs to be called simulatenously without any problem define both methods in 2 different channels
var resultMap = Map<String, MethodChannel.Result> = HashMap()
new MethodChannel(getFlutterView(), CHANNEL_1).setMethodCallHandler((methodCall, result) -> {
final Map<String, Object> arguments = methodCall.arguments();
if (methodCall.method.equals("method1")) {
// implement method 1
}
});
new MethodChannel(getFlutterView(), CHANNEL_2).setMethodCallHandler((methodCall, result) -> {
final Map<String, Object> arguments = methodCall.arguments();
if (methodCall.method.equals("method2")) {
resultMap = resultMap + mapOf(CHANNEL_2 to MethodResultWrapper(result) // use this later to return result
// implement method2
result.success(true) // or whatever value
}
});
This reduce the chance of "Reply already submitted" error.
Incase if you are using MethodResultWrapper as #Blasanka answer use flags before result.success
when method is invoked set flag to true
val methodCheckFlag: Boolean = true
then when result need to be returned
if(methodCheckFlag) {
methodCheckFlag = false;
methodWrapperResult?.success(true) // or what ever value to return
}
or use the saved MethodResultWrapper as
if(methodCheckFlag) {
methodCheckFlag = false;
resultMap[CHANNEL_2]?.success(true) // or what ever value to return
}

It's usually recommended not mixing the view code (Button) with the model code (constractor). Instead you should use a custom TableCell class for the column.
Assuming you know how to pass the data (otherwise take a look here: Passing Parameters JavaFX FXML), all required info should be available via the constractor instance which you should pass to the new scene.
MainscreenController
#FXML
private TableColumn<constractor, Void> col_button;
...
private void editConstractor(constractor constractor) {
// TODO: implement
}
#FXML
private void initialize() {
col_button.setCellFactory(col -> new TableCell<constractor, Void>() {
private final Button button;
{
button = new Button("edit");
button.setOnAction(evt -> {
constractor item = getTableRow().getItem();
editConstractor(item);
});
}
#Override
protected void updateItem(Void item, boolean empty) {
super.updateItem(item, empty);
setGraphic(empty ? null : button);
}
});
}
You also need to remove the cellValueFactory for the button column.
Note:
Sticking to the java naming conventions would make the code easier to read. (Type names should start with an uppercase letter and identifiers should use camelCase instead of underscores assuming they're not for a static final field.)
constractor is most likely misspelled. Did you mean contractor? I recommend using the renaming functionality of your IDE to fix this typo...
(In my code I used the same spelling for the editConstractor method.)

Can only parse TITLE tag -- LINK, DESCRIPTION, PUBDATE and others will not parse. (RSS / SAX)

I'm new to android development and I have been struggling to parse more than one tag at a time and display it in a ListView.
I'm using SAX parser, here is my RssParseHandler code.
public class RssParseHandler extends DefaultHandler {
private List<RssItem> rssItems;
private RssItem currentMessage;
//private StringBuilder builder;
private boolean parseLink;
private boolean parseTitle;
private boolean parseDate;
private boolean parseDes;
public RssParseHandler() {
rssItems = new ArrayList();
}
public List<RssItem> getItems() {
return this.rssItems;
}
#Override
public void startElement(String uri, String localName, String name,
Attributes attributes) throws SAXException {
super.startElement(uri, localName, name, attributes);
if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("item")) {
this.currentMessage = new RssItem();
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("title")) {
//currentMessage.setTitle(builder.toString());
parseTitle = true;
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("link")) {
//currentMessage.setLink(builder.toString());
parseLink = true;
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("description")) {
//currentMessage.setDescription(builder.toString());
parseDes = true;
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("pubDate")) {
//currentMessage.setDate(builder.toString());
parseDate = true;
}
//parsing enclosure tag
else if ("enclosure".equals(localName)) {
// Get tags attributes number
int attrsLength = attributes.getLength();
for (int i = 0; i < attrsLength; i++) {
String attrName = attributes.getQName(i); // attribute name
if ("url".equals(attrName)) // This tag has only one attribute but it is better to check it name is correct
currentMessage.getLink();
}
}
}
#Override
public void endElement(String uri, String localName, String name)
throws SAXException {
super.endElement(uri, localName, name);
if (this.currentMessage != null) {
if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("item")) {
rssItems.add(currentMessage);
//currentMessage = null;
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("link")) {
//currentMessage.setLink(builder.toString());
//parseLink = false;
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("description")) {
//currentMessage.setDescription(builder.toString());
//parseDes = false;
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("pubDate")){
//currentMessage.setDate(builder.toString());
parseDate = false;
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("title")) {
//currentMessage.setTitle(builder.toString());

}
//builder.setLength(0);
}
}

Here is the code for the Listview:

// Parse RSS, get items

} catch (Exception e) {

}
#Override

}
}
}
What am I doing wrong? I can't figure it out. I would like to parse, the link, description, pubDate, and pass them into the ListView. Ideally I would only display the title and episode number in the listview, and pass the other tags into String, so I can display them when I click an item in the listView.
I've created another class called SingleMenuItem to be called when I click an item in the ListView, it's just filler code right now, it does not display anything because the items aren't parsed.
Any help would be appreciated. Here is a RSS link to the feed:
public class SingleMenuItem extends Activity {
// XML node keys
static final String KEY_NAME = "name";
static final String KEY_DATE = "pubdate";
static final String KEY_DESC = "description";
#Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.single_list_item);
// getting intent data
Intent in = getIntent();
// Get XML values from previous intent
String name = in.getStringExtra(KEY_NAME);
String date = in.getStringExtra(KEY_DATE);
String description = in.getStringExtra(KEY_DESC);
// Displaying all values on the screen
TextView lblName = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.name_label);
TextView lblDate = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.date_label);
TextView lblDesc = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.description_label);
lblName.setText(name);
lblDate.setText(date);
lblDesc.setText(description);
}
}
Here is the code for my ReaderAppActivty that puts the results of the parsing into the ListView:
public class ReaderAppActivity extends Fragment {
private ReaderAppActivity local;
private ListView mList;
/**
* This method creates main application view
*/
#Override
public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, ViewGroup container,
Bundle savedInstanceState) {
//super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);

//int position = getArguments().getInt("position");

// Creating view corresponding to the fragment

// Set reference to this activity
//local = this;

// Start download RSS task
task.execute("http://thechurchofwhatshappeningnow.libsyn.com/rss");
//task.execute(url);
// Debug the thread name
Log.d("ITCRssReader", Thread.currentThread().getName());
//mList = (ListView) findViewById(R.id.rssListMainView);
return v;
}
private class GetRSSDataTask extends AsyncTask<String, Void, List<RssItem> > {
#Override
protected List<RssItem> doInBackground(String... urls) {
// Debug the task thread name
Log.d("ITCRssReader", Thread.currentThread().getName());
try {
// Create RSS reader
RssReader rssReader = new RssReader(urls[0]);
// Parse RSS, get items
return rssReader.getItems();
} catch (Exception e) {
Log.e("ITCRssReader", e.getMessage());
}
return null;
}
#Override

// Get a ListView from main view
ListView mList = (ListView) getView().findViewById(R.id.rssListMainView);
// Create a list adapter
ArrayAdapter<RssItem> adapter = new ArrayAdapter<RssItem>(getActivity(),R.layout.rss_text, result);
//ArrayAdapter<RssItem> adapter = new ArrayAdapter<RssItem>(getActivity(),R.layout.fragment_rss, result);
// Set list adapter for the ListView
mList.setAdapter(adapter);
// Set list view item click listener
mList.setOnItemClickListener(new ListListener(result, getActivity()));
}
}
}
Based on the amount of commented-out code in your RssParseHandler, you've clearly been struggling with this for a bit, and some early attempts were closer to right than what you've got now.
The issue with your current code appears to be that you're not consistently resetting the booleans that drive which part of the item you're setting. Debugging through it, I saw it setting a date into the link field at some point.
But you're actually doing some of that setting in the wrong method, as the characters method doesn't necessarily give you the full contents of the tag. You need to use a Stringbuilder, and I can see from commented-out code that you tried that at some point.
If you collect the text in a stringbuilder and do all the setting in the endElement method, you don't really need the booleans at all, as the endElement method has knowledge of which tag you're ending.
Here's a working version that's perhaps not too far from something you had at some point but which gets rid of all those flag fields.
public class RssParseHandler extends DefaultHandler {
private List<RssItem> rssItems;
private RssItem currentMessage;
private StringBuilder builder;
public RssParseHandler() {
rssItems = new ArrayList<>();
builder = new StringBuilder();
}
public List<RssItem> getItems() {
return this.rssItems;
}
#Override
public void startElement(String uri, String localName, String name,
Attributes attributes) throws SAXException {
super.startElement(uri, localName, name, attributes);
builder.setLength(0);
if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("item")) {
this.currentMessage = new RssItem();
}
}
#Override
public void endElement(String uri, String localName, String name)
throws SAXException {
super.endElement(uri, localName, name);
if (this.currentMessage != null) {
if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("item")) {
rssItems.add(currentMessage);
currentMessage = null;
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("link")) {
currentMessage.setLink(builder.toString());
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("description")) {
currentMessage.setDescription(builder.toString());
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("pubDate")){
currentMessage.setDate(builder.toString());
} else if (localName.equalsIgnoreCase("title")) {
currentMessage.setTitle(builder.toString());
}
}
}
#Override
public void characters(char[] ch, int start, int length)
throws SAXException {
super.characters(ch, start, length);
builder.append(ch, start, length);
}
}

How to filter lookup values on a dialogfield in Report Dialog based on another dialogfield in AX 2012 AOT reports?

How can i implement Customized lookup in Report Dialog box.
for example i have two fields in my report dialog 1) Custgroup 2) CustAccount
if i have selected a particuler cust group in first field then second field lookup should show only customers those come under this cust groups.
//class
public class ReportRun extends ObjectRun
{
DialogField dialogcustGroup,dialogcustaccount ;
CustTable obj_CustTable ;
}
//dialog method
public Object dialog(Object _dialog)
{
DialogRunbase dialog = _dialog;
DialogGroup toFromGroup;
Args _args;
str accountnum,custGroup;
;
// _args = new Args();
// obj_dev_CustTable = _args.record();
//accountnum = obj_dev_CustTable.AccountNum;
dialogcustGroup = dialog.addFieldValue(extendedTypeStr(CustGroup),CustGroup,"");
while select obj_CustTable
where obj_CustTable.AccountNum == dialogcustGroup .value()
{
CID = obj_dev_CustTable.CID;
dialogcustaccount =dialog.addFieldValue(ExtendedTypeStr(AccountNum),accountnum,"CID");
}
return dialog;
}
Any help would be great!!!!
The best way to do it is to override the lookup() method on the specified DialogField. See the example below - it works just fine.
class CustomizedLookup extends RunBase
{
DialogRunbase dialog;
DialogField dFieldCustGroup;
DialogField dFieldCustAccount;
CustGroupId fetchedCustGroup;
CustAccount fetchedAccountNum;
}
protected Object dialog()
{
dialog = super();
FieldCustGroup = dialog.addField(extendedTypeStr(CustGroupId),"sysLabel1");
dFieldCustGroup.allowEdit(true);
dFieldCustAccount = dialog.addField(extendedTypeStr(CustAccount),"sysLabel1");
dFieldCustAccount.allowEdit(false);
return dialog;
}
public void dialogPostRun(DialogRunbase _dialog)
{
super(_dialog);
// allow to call the event methods
// of this class (e.g. Fld1_1_modified() method)
_dialog.dialogForm().formRun().controlMethodOverload(true);
_dialog.dialogForm().formRun().controlMethodOverloadObject(this);
}
private boolean Fld1_1_modified() // dFieldCustGroup
{
FormStringControl control;
boolean isFieldModified;
control = dialog.formRun().controlCallingMethod();
isFieldModified = control.modified();
if(isFieldModified)
{
fetchedCustGroup = dFieldCustGroup.value();
dFieldCustAccount.allowEdit(true);
}
return isFieldModified;
}
private void Fld2_1_lookup() //dFieldCustAccount
{
FormStringControl control = dialog.formRun().controlCallingMethod();
SysTableLookup sysTableLookup = SysTableLookup::newParameters(tablenum(CustTable),control);
Query query = new Query();
QueryBuildDataSource queryBuildDataSource;
QueryBuildRange queryBuildRange;
queryBuildDataSource = query.addDataSource(TableNum(CustTable));
queryBuildRange = queryBuildDataSource.addRange(FieldNum(CustTable, CustGroup));
queryBuildRange.value(fetchedCustGroup);
sysTableLookup.addLookupfield(fieldnum(CustTable, AccountNum));
sysTableLookup.addLookupfield(fieldnum(CustTable, CustGroup));
sysTableLookup.parmQuery(query);
sysTableLookup.performFormLookup();
}
public boolean getFromDialog()
{
boolean ret;
ret = super();
fetchedAccountNum = dFieldCustAccount.value();
return ret;
}
static void main(Args _e)
{
CustomizedLookup customizedLookup;
customizedLookup = new CustomizedLookup();
if (customizedLookup.prompt())
{
customizedLookup.run();
// do some actions with your data
customizedLookup.theAction();
}
}
private void theAction()
{
info(strFmt("Customer Group: %1",fetchedCustGroup));
info(strFmt("Account Number: %1",fetchedAccountNum));
}
Some more methods like pack , unpack and main method should be declared
public class CustAmountCalculation extends RunBase
{
DialogField fieldAccount;
CustAccount custAccount;
}
public Object dialog()
{
Dialog dialog;
DialogGroup groupCustomer;
dialog = super();
fieldAccount = dialog.addField(extendedTypeStr(custAccount), "CustomerAccount");
return dialog;
}
public boolean getFromDialog()
{
custAccount = fieldAccount.value();
return super();
}
public container pack()
{
return conNull();
}
public void run()
{
CustTable custTable;
CustTrans custTrans;
;
select sum(AmountMST) from custTrans where custTrans.AccountNum == custAccount;
info("You have enetered customer information");
info(strfmt("Account: %1", custAccount));
info(strFmt("Amount: %1", custTrans.AmountMST));
}
public boolean unpack(container _packedClass)
{
return true;
}
public static void main(Args _args)
{
CustAmountCalculation custAmountCalculation = new CustAmountCalculation();
if (CustAmountCalculation.prompt())
{
CustAmountCalculation.run();
}
}

Blackberry BarcodeScanner - barcodeDecode switch to MainScreen

Can somebody tell me how to close the Screen (which opened by the BarcodeScanner) and show the mainscreen again after the barcodeDecoded method was invoked?
I can't get it right. I tried a lot, one of them was this:
public void barcodeDecoded(String rawText) {
final String result = rawText;
try
{
final UiApplication ui = UiApplication.getUiApplication();
final MainScreen current = (MainScreen) ui.getActiveScreen();
System.out.println("Current: " + current.toString());
if (UiApplication.isEventDispatchThread()) {
getText(result);
ui.popScreen(current);
System.out.println("Close Window by active screen");
ui.pushScreen(_frm);
System.out.println("Push screen frmMain");
}else{
ui.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
public void run() {
getText(result); <-- Abstract method to use within the main app.
ui.popScreen(current);
ui.pushScreen(_frm);
}
});
}
}catch(Exception err){
System.out.println(err.getMessage());
}
}
the abstract method when i start the Scanner
private MenuItem mnuCamera = new MenuItem("Scan", 1, 1){
public void run(){
frmMain f = (frmMain)getScreen();
_decode = new BarcodeDecoderClass(f) {
public void getText(String tekst) {
setScannedText(tekst);
}
};
_decode.Start();
}
};
Ok, for the people who are stuck with the same problem. I found it out. Below you find the complete code:
The BarcodeScanner class:
public abstract class BarcodeDecoderClass implements BarcodeDecoderListener {
private Hashtable _hints;
private Vector _formats;
private BarcodeScanner _scanner;
private BarcodeDecoder _decoder;
private Field _viewFinder;
private MainScreen _screen;
public abstract void getText(String tekst, Screen screen);
public BarcodeDecoderClass(){
_hints = new Hashtable();
_formats = new Vector();
_formats.addElement(BarcodeFormat.QR_CODE);
_hints.put(DecodeHintType.POSSIBLE_FORMATS, _formats);
_decoder = new BarcodeDecoder(_hints);
try
{
_scanner = new BarcodeScanner(_decoder, this);
_scanner.getVideoControl().setDisplayFullScreen(true);
_viewFinder = _scanner.getViewfinder();
}catch(Exception err){
System.out.println(err.getMessage());
}
}
public void Start(){
try
{
_screen = new MainScreen();
_screen.add(_viewFinder);
UiApplication.getUiApplication().pushScreen(_screen);
_scanner.startScan();
}catch(Exception err){
System.out.println(err.getMessage());
}
}
public synchronized void Close(){
if(_scanner.isScanning()){
try{
_scanner.stopScan();
}catch(Exception err){
Dialog.alert(err.getMessage());
}
}
_scanner.getVideoControl().setVisible(false);
_scanner.getPlayer().close();
}
public void barcodeDecoded(String rawText) {
try
{
getText(rawText, _screen);
}catch(Exception err){
System.out.println(err.getMessage());
}
}
}
The MainScreen from which I start the BarcodeScanner (i just copied the method)
private MenuItem mnuCamera = new MenuItem("Scan", 1, 1){
public void run(){
final Screen f = getScreen();
_decode = new BarcodeDecoderClass() {
public void getText(String tekst, final Screen _screen) {
setScannedText(tekst);
UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable() {
public void run() {
_decode.Close();
_screen.close();
}
});
}
};
_decode.Start();
}
};
