Does anyone know of a control for iOS applications that looks similar to the image picker found in the Facebook app for iOS? It allows for multiple image selection, transitioning over to the camera, only displaying selected images, etc. I haven't located anything that is close to this control anywhere, but figured someone here might.
It is known as GrabKit, It is a free control under MIT lisence.
You may download it from here and next time please make sure to do proper research on google before asking questions.

Recently, I have installed Twilight on my Android phone. Apparently is adds a color tone effect on the screen. Here are two screen shots taken from PlayStore.
Now my question is that is there a way to develop similar system display tone color set up application in iOS?
It is not possible as Apple restrict the developers to edit home screen. There are very limited features that we can access like Calendar, Gallery, etc. The above screenshot your are showing is related to Widget but there are no Widget concept in iOS.
Yes, it is certainly possible and I use an app that does this.
Have a look at https://github.com/anthonya1999/GoodNight, It's even open sourced.
However an app like this will most likely be denied from the App Store, but never the less it is possible.
Night Shift is supposed to bring something like this in iOS 9.3, though not to that extent.
I don't know of any public API that would allow an application to change that kind of parameter system-wise, though. Maybe in the Accessibility framework, but that would restrict it to app-wise, not system-wise.
I've been searching for a library or sample project that implements the following functionality, but unfortunately haven't been able to find much. Could anyone share any thoughts or point me in a general direction if experienced something similar?
I'd like create a pull-out view controller/tray whose interaction is very similar to the Google Maps iOS app (http://i.stack.imgur.com/l1QHt.png). When a user taps or pulls-up the snippet pane, the view expands until fully maximized. Essentially the same interaction as seen in the Maps app.
I'm happy to implement from-scratch if a library doesn't exist, but regardless wanted to seek any suggestions/insights before getting underway.
Thanks again for your help & advice!
In my app, i want users to click a photo, then i want to allow them to edit it for crop/rotate/straighten. Can i use built-in photos app for that? or is there any open-source/api to have similar view controller.
I know it's a possible duplicate of Is there a view controller for image crop and rotate works like iOS 8 photo.app? but i found no answer here as well. Please let me know if it's possible?
Unfortunately, no.
UIImagePickerViewController allowEditing property, when set to YES, provides you a very simple cropping UI, but it doesn't support advanced rotation as iOS Photo app.
So you'll have to make it yourself.
The github projects in the question you linked might be a good starting point for that. (here's another one)
Good luck !
I wrote one in Swift, you can continue to develop based on this: QCropper
My iOS app (objective-C) handles photos. I'd like it to be able offer the user a way to automatically "adjust" an image, like how iOS itself does in the Photos app (little magic-wand icon), or how facebook does it. This basically means auto-brightness and auto-contrast adjustment.
So far i've found "filtrr" (more concerned with adding color it seems), and OpenCV (uhh, feels like using a nuclear missile to swat a fly with). Any other hints? Is there some library or a way of even doing this natively in iOS?
thx!
Look into Core Image for info on filters and how to apply them. Apple's programming guide is a good place to start.
Once you're up and running with Core Image, see the autoAdjustmentFilters method for getting a set of filters that's preconfigured for "one touch enhance" kinds of usage.
I want to create an iOS app to manage notebooks, i already know how to implement most of the functionality, but i would like to add a notebook carousel in the app like in the attached image. I have already googled for related terms searching for a way to do it with no avail.
It should animate on click and simulate the opening of a book, you can find this functionality in apps like penultimate, outliner and many others.
Can anyone put me in the right direction?
