Please check push notifications delegate methods.
Firstly, I must explain this, I know this green bar appears if your app has support for CallKit and user went to background state from app, And these all works perfectly from my VOIP app.
But I want to implement something like Whatsapp iOS App which user can go to back instant message screen from a voice call and even client is in the active state, a green bar appears.
I do not know how WhatsApp has implemented this feature. But I guess it can be custom view (green bar when the app is in an active state but not in call screen).
Do you guys have any idea how can I implement this feature? Or Do the CallKit has any methods or something else to force to show green bar if the call screen is not appearing but also app is not in background state??
Can't you just put your colored bar at the top? I am not sure if your app is using navigation controllers, but if not you should be able to align a UIView between superview.top and safearea.top, and set it's backgroundColor to anything you want.
How is it possible to test / get notification about Facebook iOS app is just left?
Implemented Facebook Login button, and when coming back from FB login screen, need to do some extra steps in my app. But viewDidAppear is not get called in that view controller.
Do you have any idea? Need to use AppDelegate methods?
You can add an observer for UIApplicationWillEnterForeground notification.
And you could add some logic right before calling the facebook button, to check if the app has entered background because of that or simply because the user has pressed home button.
I want to develop an iOS app that can have like a panic button when the screen is locked. This button can be enable or disabled within the app, but
I want to know if it is possible to add a very accessible button you can press in case of an emergency even when the screen is locked. When the button is pressed I want to execute some code in the app.
Is there a possible way of accomplishing this in iOS?
Or is there an alternative?, The only think that I required is that the button can be pressed like in maximum three seconds even if the screen is locked and the app closed.
No that is not possible in iOS. You cannot make changes outside of your app.
One suggestion i can give you is to make a extension for today view in notification center. And you can ask the users to touch the button in notification center to invoke your functionality.
Notification center can be accessed in lock screen also.
I am using QuickBlox for VOIP calling. When I press Home button, while being in call, iOS show red status bar, when clicked, it take the user back to app.
Question: How I can know user came back to app by clicking on that red status bar?
Please look at https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/iPhone/Conceptual/iPhoneOSProgrammingGuide/StrategiesforHandlingAppStateTransitions/StrategiesforHandlingAppStateTransitions.html
I think applicationDidBecomeActive: and applicationWillEnterForeground: might help you
