Youtube V3 API PHP Issues - youtube-api

I have managed to get a valid OAuth 2 token using the Google API for Youtube, but for some reason when making a request, either in my code (PHP) or in the test tools within the Youtube API (for example : https://developers.google.com/oauthplayground/) , I keep getting the following error :
[errors] => Array(
[0] => Array(
[domain] => youtube.header
[reason] => youtubeSignupRequired
[message] => Unauthorized
[locationType] => header
[location] => Authorization
)
)
[code] => 401
[message] => Unauthorized
OR
{
"error": {
"errors": [
{
"domain": "usageLimits",
"reason": "accessNotConfigured",
"message": "Access Not Configured"
}],
"code": 403,
"message": "Access Not Configured"
}
}
Can anyone please advise ?
Thank you in advance.

This probably means you have not yet enabled the YouTube Data API. 401 and 403 mean completely different things, however, so here's a checklist of things I would look for:
Verify that you have enabled the YouTube Data API in the Google API Console. It'll be under "Services". You'll need to flip them on. We did a short video tutorial about how to enable and retrieve developer keys.
If you're making an API call to upload videos or edit playlists, you'll need the account you're authorizing as to have a linked channel.
When these are done, you'll be able to download and run the PHP samples. We have a tutorial video for that as well.

YouTube Content ID API returns Forbidden error

I've created a service account for use with the YouTube Content ID API, I'm following the steps under Set up your service account on:
https://developers.google.com/youtube/partner/guides/oauth2_for_service_accounts
The steps seem to be a bit outdated, I am not able to find YouTube Content ID API in Developer console.
I am able to upload a video on a channel.
Well, when I'm making requests using this service account, I'm getting forbidden errors. For example the below error is when I'm trying to get a list of content owners.
error::::::{
"error": {
"errors": [
{
"domain": "global",
"reason": "insufficientPermissions",
"message": "Insufficient Permission: Request had insufficient authentication scopes."
}
],
"code": 403,
"message": "Insufficient Permission: Request had insufficient authentication scopes."
}
}
Here's the PHP code:
$client = new Google_Client();
$client->setAccessType("offline");
$client->setApprovalPrompt("force");
$client->setClientId($OAUTH2_CLIENT_ID);
$client->setClientSecret($OAUTH2_CLIENT_SECRET);
$client->setScopes(array('https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube', 'https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtubepartner'));
$youtube = new Google_Service_YouTube($client);
$youtubePartner = new Google_Service_YouTubePartner($client);
$contentOwnersListResponse = $youtubePartner->contentOwners->listContentOwners(
array('fetchMine' => true));
$contentOwnerId = $contentOwnersListResponse['items'][0]['id'];
You have mentioned that you cannot see the "YouTube Content ID API" in your Google Developers Console, I think you need to check the YouTube Partner Program. Please do take note that "The YouTube Content ID API is intended for use by YouTube content partners and is not accessible to all developers or to all YouTube users". It was stated in the note at the top most of the page.

How to get list of all subscribed channels of user using youtube api?

I am using Laravel-php, I have following code :
$client = new Google_Client();
$client->setClientId(env('GOOGLE_ID'));
$client->setClientSecret(env('GOOGLE_SECRET'));
//$client->setRedirectUri($redirect_uri);
$client->addScope("https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl");
$client->addScope("https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube");
$client->addScope("https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly");
$client->addScope("https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtubepartner");
$youtube = new \Google_Service_YouTube($client);
$searchResponse = $youtube->channels->listChannels('snippet', array('mine' => true));
//$subscriptions = Curl::to('https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/subscriptions')->withData(['part' => 'snippet', 'mine' => 'true'])->get();
echo "<pre>";
print_r($searchResponse);
Above code gives me following error :
Google_Service_Exception in REST.php line 118:
{
"error": {
"errors": [
{
"domain": "usageLimits",
"reason": "dailyLimitExceededUnreg",
"message": "Daily Limit for Unauthenticated Use Exceeded. Continued use requires signup.",
"extendedHelp": "https://code.google.com/apis/console"
}],
"code": 403,
"message": "Daily Limit for Unauthenticated Use Exceeded. Continued use requires signup."
}
}
I have tried to use CURL call also but that also gives me same error, any suggestions will save my day
What am I missing in code ?
Your error means that you haven't set up a Google APIs console project. The resource you are accessing requires OAuth authorization. You need to obtain authorization credentials in the Google Developers Console to be able to use OAuth 2.0 authorization.
Open the Credentials page.
The API supports API keys and OAuth 2.0 credentials. In your case, use OAuth 2.0 for your project:
OAuth 2.0: Your application must send an OAuth 2.0 token with any request that accesses private user data. Your application sends a client ID and, possibly, a client secret to obtain a token. You can generate OAuth 2.0 credentials for web applications, service accounts, or installed applications.
See the Creating OAuth 2.0 credentials section for more information.
You may also check this related thread: list user subscriptions to all youtube channels after getting access token
First thing is that it needs to be an authenticated call.
So you need to get the person to "Authenticate" through the Oauth2 and collect the token.
Then with the token send this call
https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/subscriptions?part=id,snippet,contentDetails&maxResults=50&channelId='.$channelId.'&access_token='.$access_token
Then you can access the JSON response and collect them.

Google My Business API fails

Getting a strange error message and there is literally nothing on it anywhere I look. Granted access to Google My Business API, followed directions here;
https://developers.google.com/my-business/content/get-started
All went well, but the expected 200 response was actually the below;
{
"error": {
"status": "PERMISSION_DENIED",
"message": "The request was blocked. Quota configuration not found for the requesting project.",
"code": 403,
"details": [
{
"violations": [
{
"description": "The request was blocked. Quota configuration not found for the requesting project.",
"subject": "project:XXXXXXXXXX"
}
],
"#type": "type.googleapis.com/google.rpc.QuotaFailure"
}
]
}
}
Anyone have any idea how to add quotas in Google Developer console, or, alternately, if this message is a result of expired permissions perhaps? (Granted access in Feb, did not use until now?)
This is what you get when the project in question does not have Google My Business API access, as granted through their official process etc. When I used the correct project I got a 200 and all is well.
So sayeth the GMB folks themselves, who answered my email same day!

Google+ Domains API Not Configured

When I try to post an activity to Google+ I get the error:
{
"error": {
"code": 403,
"message": "Access Not Configured. The API (Google+ Domains API) is not enabled for your project. Please use the Google Developers Console to update your configuration.",
"errors": [
{
"domain": "usageLimits",
"message": "Access Not Configured. The API (Google+ Domains API) is not enabled for your project. Please use the Google Developers Console to update your configuration.",
"reason": "accessNotConfigured",
"extendedHelp": "https://console.developers.google.com"
}
]
}
}
I know this question has been asked before here, but I have a different message in my error. I've also enabled Google Domains API in the console. I'm using a Gmail account and I also receive circles and contacts information with the following scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email
https://www.google.com/m8/feeds https://www.googleapis.com/auth/plus.login
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/plus.stream.write
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/plus.me
My Post body is:
{
"object": {
"originalContent": "Happy Monday! #caseofthemondays"
},
"access": {
"items": [
{
"type": "domain"
}
],
"domainRestricted": true
}
}
Found out this feature is only available for Google Apps customers not anyone else.
Reference
Have you created (or using) the API_KEYs in your Google project?
If not, go to Google developer console and select the credentials section under APIs & Auth and create the API key relevant for your application.
If you already have a key, try regenerating a new one

"Insufficient Permission" to retrieve user youtube subscriptipns after getting access token

I'm working on a scripts that checks if the user is already subscribed to my channel. The idea is to get all the channels the user had subscribed into then check if my channel id is one of them. First I get the access token correctly using POST and it works fine than send these as GET but the result is "failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden false". Doc page: https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/subscriptions/list#request_url
$data =file_get_contents('https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/subscriptions?part=snippet
&maxResults=50&access_token='.$token.'&mine=true&key=My API Key');
var_export($data);
and pasting the full url
https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/channels?part=snippet&mine=true&access_token={Access_Token}
I get this
{
"error": {
"errors": [
{
"domain": "global",
"reason": "insufficientPermissions",
"message": "Insufficient Permission"
}
],
"code": 403,
"message": "Insufficient Permission"
}
}
Add a heaer:
Authorization: Bearer ya29.DwG_A_V6cybZ2KGqRwPMBF02w0sYw9msqSKoCBI53So0zzIHFRKlwEv68C4aI_NdadQ4wKHUrV2pBA
key is your client id
Google restricts access with API keys. If you go over the free limits, they charge you. You need to get a Google API key and add it to the URL like this: &key=YOUR_API_KEY
Create the API key from Google's console (you'll need to sign up and create a project): https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/credentials
Your new URL for the request would be:
https://www.googleapis.com/youtube/v3/channels?part=snippet&mine=true&access_token={Access_Token}&key=YOUR_API_KEY
I was having this error, and I solved it when I found out I needed to add the Youtube scope to my OAuth sign-in request: "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube"
