Application failed codesign verification warning - ios

I got this warning in XCode today when I start running my app on my iPad.
Application failed codesign verification. The signature was invalid,
contains disallowed entitlements, or it was not signed with an iPhone
Distribution Certificate. (-19011)
It is saying that the app's provisioning profile was not signed with a distribution certificate. But I just submitted my app yesterday and switched back my distribution provisioning profile to development provisioning profile. XCode shouldn't think I am still building for distribution. I can still run my app but I can't see any debugging information now. How can I resolve this problem?

In Build settings -> Validate Built Product
Debug: YES changes to NO
Release: No changes to YES
and the warning goes away.
I think I've had some misunderstanding of "Validate Built Product" section before.

In Xcode, go to Product->Scheme->Edit Scheme and make sure that your current scheme build configuration is set to debug.

Xcode Command CodeSign failed with non zero when deploying to device

I received this error when trying to deploy application to device. I am using Xcode 10.1 with free developer account. In signing section I set personal team with signing certificate iPhone Developer. I can ran the app in iOS simulator but not run in real device.

Your code signing for free account should look like this
I got same issue , my certificates was created automatically but Device Udid does not create.
then check your device Udid is exist on your Apple developer Account and also check your Bundle identifier?
// hope its works for you thanks
I also encountered this error, in my experience I am trying to run my app in a device which is not registered in my provisioning profile. To resolve this, you need to make sure you are not using a production provisioning profile because you can not assign a device there. Use development provisioning profile, assign the device in that provisioning profile, download the provisioning profile and double click it. Build again and it should work.
I experienced this error today, and it resolved with steps below.
1 Deleted newly added image from Asset folder.
2 Restarted my mac computer.
3 Re-launched xCode and did a clean build.

debug version of react-native IOS app builds successfully. Release version fails.

I've been able to successfully build the Debug version of this IOS app. However, I'd like to create an IPA to make sure it works on various iphones. The first thing I did was go product->scheme->edit scheme. I then switched from Debug to Release. After cleaning, and attempting to build the release version of the app. I immediately get an error: "MYapp has conflicting provisioning settings. MYapp is automatically signed, but provisioning profile MYApp Distribution has been manually specified. Set the provisioning profile value to "automatic" in the build settings editor, or switch to manual signing in the project editor(in target MYapp).
The first thing I tried was switching Code Signing Style to manual in build settings. This resulted in a new error:
error: Provisioning profile "MYApp Distribution" doesn't include signing certificate "iPhone Developer: Name here (XXXXXXXX)". (in target 'MYApp')
I went back to the General tab in Targets and clicked on "automatically manage signing". I tried to rebuild and got the same error the first time I tried to build.
I'm not sure where the conflict is coming from. This post indicated that simply clicking the automatic signing would do the trick.
I'm quite new to using Xcode and understanding provisioning profiles.
You simply can not build a release edition. The process of giving a release version is quite different. It goes from Xcode(local) to App Store(testFlight for testing) and then into App Store(Official Release).
I found this link and can relate to this situation.
Your provisioning profile isn't valid. It doesn't have a valid distribution certificate. You have to go to apple developer and it to certificates and profiles. Create it there and install it via keychain on your macbook. Othervise you can't build an ipa. More info here

Xcode suddenly runs into code signing error

My xcode suddenly runs into a code signing error when trying to build my app (for now just to launch on the debug device). Previously it was working but now it just fails with Command /usr/bin/codesign failed with exit code 1, there is no further output.
I am aware of the technical notes at https://developer.apple.com/library/archive/technotes/tn2407/_index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/DTS40014991-CH1-ENSURE_YOUR_PROJECT_OPTS_INTO_AUTOMATIC_PROVISIONING but as i dont have any of the error messages described i am stuck.
i did check that automatic provisioning is enabled
i did log in and log out of my account
i did reinstall the certificate on my pc
i did restart xcode
i did check the signing settings
[x] Automatically manage signing
Correct team selected
Provisioning Profile: Xcode managed profile
Signing Certificate: Correct development certificate
Now i don't know how i can resolve this anymore.

Attempting to install the Release version on my device gets conflict profiles

I am trying to install the Release version of my app on my device to test it.
When I select the Edit > Scheme and under RUN I choose "Release" for Build Configuration
But I get the error:
My App has conflicting provisioning settings. My App is automatically
signed for development, but a conflicting code signing identity iPhone
Distribution has been manually specified. Set the code signing
identity value to "iPhone Developer" in the build settings editor, or
switch to manual signing in the project editor. Code signing is
required for product type 'Application' in SDK 'iOS 10.2'
I have gone to Code Signing and Ensured that my release is my iOS Distribution
I have deleted all my profile, certs and re-imported. I have cleaned the build. I have removed my account.
When I switch to Manual Signing I get the error:
No signing certificate "iOS Distribution" found
No "iOS Distribution" signing certificate matching team ID "XXXXXXXXXX" with a private key was found.
But it is in my KeyChain.
I'm so frustrated. Has anyone else solved this?
You're supposed to use the iOS developer profile when running builds on your device. You can build in release mode still. However you can't install distribution signed binaries through Xcode.
You can create an ad-hoc profile to test push notification for the release build. It is same as the distribution build.

Fastlane certificate error

I'm starting to have an issue with fastlane. When I run a custom lane that runs pilot the app starts to compile but eventually terminates with an error. In the fastlane log I have:
Provisioning profile "match AppStore com.mycompany.myapp-test" doesn't include signing certificate "iPhone Developer: Bob Trotter (XXXXXXXXX)".
Code signing is required for product type 'Application' in SDK 'iOS 10.0'.
I have logged into the apple developer website. Gone into the provisioning profile and added myself. I have tried doing a project clean and downloading the certificates in xocode. I have also run fastlane certs. Any idea what I am doing wrong here? Any pointers on this would be great!!
It seems that you are trying to use pilot with a developer certificate.
As pilot is used to submit your app to TestFlight and subsequently to ApStore, it seems consistent that the error message saying match AppStore ... for the provisioning profile and iPhone Developer: ... for the certificate would generate errors.
It looks like you are setting the correct provisioning profile but not the correct certificate to match. You can check that on XCode by going to you project target -> Build settings -> Code Signing Identity (Release) and selecting iPhone Distribution
If you are using cert you might as well create Distribution certificates, which your App Store provisioning should be matching.
Alternatively (and personally my option of choice today) you can use match to create you provisioning profiles for both development and distribution, which will also configure your sigh environment variables to be used by XCode.
Based on your example bundle identifier, you could do this by executing the following command(s)
$ sudo gem install match
$ match appstore -a com.mycompany.myapp-test
