Russian (Cyrillic) characters not displaying in Orchard 1.6 - orchardcms-1.6

I am trying to setup the multilingual orchard website with MySQL and the localization module. I’ve found that I cannot create the localized pages in Russian as the characters display ??? in the title when I try to save.
How can I resolve that?

Thanks to Andrii the issue can be resolved by adding charset=utf8; at the end of MySql connection string. See the answer here.

Allowing user to enter French,Spanish and Korean language in content of Umbraco input Control

We are using Umbraco web application in English language. We need to add
French,Spanish and Korean language in our application where we should be allow user to type and add content in French,Spanish and Korean language.
Question : How we can allow user to input content in French,Spanish and Korean language . Note* : Default language of system is English.
Please help me to get out of this.
Thanks in advance.
Currently Umbraco doesn't have built in language variants - so the classic way to do it is to create language specific "sites" as described here: https://our.umbraco.com/documentation/tutorials/multilanguage-setup/
A different solution could be to use the Vorto package. Vorto wraps itself around your existing datatypes, allowing you to put in an extra "layer" so every property can have different values/settings for each language in your site.
There's a link to it here - with instructions on how to get started using it:

How to get link to translated content in ImpressPages 3.9?

I got a problem creating a multi-languages website with ImpressPages (v 3.9).
I created 3 languages in admin: French, English and German. I got many pages that I've translated into 3 languages using "generateManagedText()" function.
I've also created 3 menus as using one for each languages.
My problem is: how can I generate links to inline-translated pages?
I got a language selector generated with this line:
echo $this->generateBlock('ipLanguages');
But the link are just redirecting to each homepage.
I would like to get an easy way to show link to each translated version in all website, could you get me some advises please?
Thank you!
You cannot generate a link to inline managed elements. Only pages have links. All the links you have is from Menu management.
Each language has its own menus and they don't have any relation with other language. Which means, you may have many pages in one language and only a few in the other.

Drupal 6 - How to fix combination Dutch domain - English URI

In Google Webmaster Tools I have 60 non-existing combinations of my Dutch domain and the English original blog. Example:
http://website.nl/english-blog
The from English to Dutch translated blog exists.
This problem leads to a degraded customer satisfaction, as Drupal reports the web-page not to be found. What can I do to help Drupal find the correct translation, given the domain language.
I have checked the Global Redirect property to correct this, and automatically replace the English link with the Dutch link. To no avail.
I tried to correct it in Path redirect, but also to no avail. It is not allowed, because the module interprets it as the redirection of an alias, and advises the alias to be corrected. This does not work, because then the English web-page cannot be found.
My questions:
How do I fix this?
Why did I get it in the 1st place?
Thanks for any comment or suggestion.
Drupal up to date; Enabled modules: Global Redirect, Pathauto, Path Redirect.

How to change TinyMCE language in Umbraco

I'm using Umbraco 4.9. I've downloaded a language pack and installed it in my Umbraco's TinyMCE. I suppose there is a tag in tinyMceConfig.config file that defines the language for richtexts, but I can't find anything. Does anyone know about that?
UPDATE:
I tried:
<config key="language">en</config>
but even the default en language option makes richtext editor disapear.
The language of the WYSIWYG text editor is controlled by the user login.
Under the user select the language you would like to use for the backend of Umbraco.
Out of the box it supports:
Danish
German
English (uk)
Spanish
French
Italian
Korean
Dutch
Norwegian
Swedish (se)
Swedish
If the language you need is not listed there, you have a couple of options. The first option is to create a whole new translation of the Umbraco backend, this involves editing Umbraco translation files etc and and is reasonable sized task.
If you just want the TinyMCE editor translated you can hack the JS so that it uses your translation file instead of the default.
To do this you need to rename a couple of JS files and update one. Basically the principal is that you replace one of the existing languages i.e. en or fr with your own.
There are instructions on how to do this on the post on our.umbraco.org
I don't recommend this approach, if you are looking for new full translation of the backend then why not reach out on the our.umbraco.org forum and see if anyone has already done the translation you are looking for or would be willing to help.

redirect domain to include local in url via apache or rails

I have many sites that run on a hosted rails 3 application on apache.
They can be multi-lingual and the domains are in this format www.example1.com/en , www.example2.com/de/pages/about-us , example3.hosted_sites.com/it/products/cars/hondas
The problem is that each domain has a www.example1.com domain as well that just uses the english local. This means that there is duplicate content on the 2 version ed www.example1.com and www.example1.com/en etc
What is the best way to add the /en into the requested url if a local is not specified ?
does anyone know a apache rule to do this ? i have many sites so its got to be generic / dynamic as cant look for a certain url in the url.
Or is this best done in my rails 3 app via a before filter ? anyone know how ?
Thanks alot
Rick
I have a similar scenario and use this plugin. It handles your translated routes with one default, eg
domain/someid --> english
domain/es/someid --> spanish
domain/de/someid --> german
