1151: A conflict exists with definition i in namespace internal - actionscript

im new in action scripts and flash, i need some help with this code i couldnt find whats wrong with it, it gives this error:1151: A conflict exists with definition i in namespace internal.(var i:Number = 0;)
stop();
menu_item_group.menu_item._visible = false;
var spacing:Number = 5;
var total:Number = menu_label.length;
var distance_y:Number = menu_item_group.menu_item._height + spacing;
var i:Number = 0;
for( ; i < total; i++ )
{
menu_item_group.menu_item.duplicateMovieClip("menu_item"+i, i);
menu_item_group["menu_item"+i]._x = menu_item._x;
menu_item_group["menu_item"+i]._y = i * distance_y;
menu_item_group["menu_item"+i].over = true;
menu_item_group["menu_item"+i].item_text.text = menu_label[i];
menu_item_group["menu_item"+i].item_url = menu_url[i];
menu_item_group["menu_item"+i].onRollOver = function()
{
this.over = false;
}
menu_item_group["menu_item"+i].onRollOut = menu_item_group["menu_item"+i].onDragOut = function()
{
this.over = true;
}
menu_item_group["menu_item"+i].onRelease = function()
{
getURL(this.item_url);
}
menu_item_group["menu_item"+i].onEnterFrame = function()
{
if( this.over == true ) this.prevFrame();
else this.nextFrame();
}
}
thanks for your help!

Check your code. The variable i has been declared in the code already.

How to change get id from url to post method

I have a code like this
var arr = new Array();
var cnt = 0;
var checkboxes = $('.sel');
var emaillist = document.getElementsByName("elist[]");
var selectedContract = [];
var dispflag = false;
var x = 0;
$.each(checkboxes,function(i,r){
if(r.checked){
arr[cnt++] = r.value;
if(emaillist[x].value != "true"){
dispflag = true;
selectedContract.push(r.value);
}
}
x++;
});
var params = selectedContract.join(':');
if(cnt == 0)
{
alert("No contracts selected.");
}
else
{
url = controllerPath + "/getcontract/contract_id/" + arr + "/custom_action/1";
window.open (url,"Contracts","resizable=1,location=1,status=1,scrollbars=1,width=800,height=600");
}
I want to change arr that give result contract_id to POST method cause when the contract_id more than 500 result, the page shows blank due to URL too large/too long.
I still don't understand how to do it.
Anyone can help me to solve it.

Using dart to create a javascript library

The problem
I'm currently working on a JavaScript library, and in order to reduce the amount of bugs I thought that my library might benefit from using Dart's static typing mechanism. First, because my lib wasn't doing any interop neither with HTML nor with other JavaScript libraries, only pure javascript object manipulation stuff. However I didn't find any info on the net showing how it is possible to build a JS library using dart. So I've tried to do that myself, created initial dart file:
library Repo;
class Type {
final String name;
final TypeCategory category;
Type(String name, TypeCategory category) : name = name, category = category {
category.types[name] = this;
}
}
class TypeCategory {
final String name;
final Map<String, Type> types = new Map();
TypeCategory(this.name);
}
class Branch {
}
class Descriptor {
}
class TableDescriptor extends Descriptor {
TableDescriptor.ctor() {
}
}
class Repo {
Descriptor descriptor(String name) {
}
Branch branch(String name) {
}
void Merge() {
}
}
main() {
return Repo;
}
Compiled it to JavaScript using dart2js to see how I'm doing:
// Generated by dart2js, the Dart to JavaScript compiler version: 1.3.6.
// The code supports the following hooks:
// dartPrint(message):
// if this function is defined it is called instead of the Dart [print]
// method.
//
// dartMainRunner(main, args):
// if this function is defined, the Dart [main] method will not be invoked
// directly. Instead, a closure that will invoke [main], and its arguments
// [args] is passed to [dartMainRunner].

And that's it, I've thrown away Dart because I didn't knew what to do with generated JS file, also I was frightened of potentially high amount of time required for keeping the resulting library interface clean and similar to one I'm using with JavaScript.
The question(s)
How do I expose class definitions created in Dart and later use them in JavaScript?
Do you think it's worth it going into Dart when nearly all potential library users will be using JS version instead? (Using dart is already not good for me due to difference in community sizes, this means that less people will find it easy to contribute to my library)
In your opinion, what should I do?
Even though Dart supports this use case, if you target JavaScript developers I would stick with JavaScript.
#AlexandreArdhuin shows in his answer to Expose Dart functions to javascript how you can make a Dart function available to JavaScript.
Under the dart-js-interop are many examples how to do function calls and pass data between Dart and JavaScript.
Wrap dart class into custom element, the Dart object auto expose to javascript.
Assume we have 2 Dart Classes, SlickGrid Class contains Column class in Dart
class SlickGrid{
List<Column> columns;
}
class Column{}
class GridWrap extends HtmlElement {
ShadowRoot shadowRoot;
SlickGrid grid; // here is your cool object
}
compile to javascript, and register custom element, then open javascript console,
//this is SlickGrid object
var grid= document.querySelector('cj-grid').grid;
// this is dart Column Object
var column = grid.columns.$index(0,0);
// call toString function in dart object that produce json string...
column.toString$0()

Change colors in devexpress charts

I am drawing a pie chart using Devexpress in my MVC project.
While doing it by default my chart generated with three colors, as below
but my client is not satisfied, with the colors of it and wanted me to change them which match with our application background, so please help me, how to do this.
Thanks in advance.
Here is my code.
settings.Name = "chart";
settings.Width = 600;
settings.Height = 250;
settings.BorderOptions.Visible = false;
Series series1 = new Series("Type", DevExpress.XtraCharts.ViewType.Pie3D);
settings.Series.Add(series1);
series1.ArgumentScaleType = ScaleType.Qualitative;
series1.ArgumentDataMember = "ClassName";
series1.ValueScaleType = ScaleType.Numerical;
series1.ValueDataMembers.AddRange(new string[] { "PercentageValues" });
series1.LegendPointOptions.PointView = PointView.ArgumentAndValues;
series1.LegendPointOptions.ValueNumericOptions.Format = NumericFormat.Percent;
series1.LegendPointOptions.ValueNumericOptions.Precision = 0;
series1.Label.ResolveOverlappingMode = ResolveOverlappingMode.Default;
series1.Label.Visible = false;
Please refer the following code. I have successfully implemented the same for giving custom color for rangebar. I guess it will work for your case also
settings.CustomDrawSeriesPoint = (s, ev) =>
{
BarDrawOptions drawOptions = ev.SeriesDrawOptions as BarDrawOptions;
if (drawOptions == null)
return;
Color colorInTarget = Color.Blue;
double x = ev.SeriesPoint.Values[0];
double y = ev.SeriesPoint.Values[1];
if (x == 0)
{ //Do starting
colorInTarget = Color.FromArgb(159,125, 189);
}
else{
//Red - price Increase
// Green price Decrease
if (y > previousYValue)
{
colorInTarget = Color.Red; ;
}
else
{
colorInTarget = Color.Green;
}
}
previousYValue = y;

AS2 TweenLite: tween to frame

I have the following setup loaded:
import com.greensock.*;
import com.greensock.easing.*;
import com.greensock.plugins.*;
TweenPlugin.activate([FramePlugin]);
OverwriteManager.init(OverwriteManager.AUTO);
and am using the following code to tween an mc to frame 20.
TweenLite.to(circle, 1, {frame:20, ease:Elastic.easeOut});
Problem is nothing happens, circle is a variable containing my mc and traces fine.
Output of
trace(circle); = _level0.circle
Can anyone see why this isn't working? The MC contains a shapetween.
Edit:
Ok so I have tested it in a new fla with the same MC and it isn't the MC that is the problem it has to do with some other part of my code preventing it.
Here is my entire code... can anyone see anything that would stop the tween to frame working? If I remove for (MovieClip in txts) {
txts[MovieClip]._alpha = 0;
} and put the tween above it it works, but as soon as it is inside a rollover again it doesn't.
Entire code:

Heh Solved, for some reason it doesn't like for (MovieClip in Array){} anywhere in your code, so if I substitute that for for (a in Array){} it seems to work. Odd.

Actionscript 2: Tween running extremely slow

I am using the following code to tween an movieclip once _global.choiceMade equals 1...
onClipEvent (load) {
import mx.transitions.Tween;
import mx.transitions.easing.*;
}
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (_global.choiceMade == 1) {
var myTweenX:Tween = new Tween(this, "_x", mx.transitions.easing.Back.easeOut, this._x, -349, 0.5, True);
}
}
This is contained within each frame of the main timeline. The first time it runs fine but on the next frame it runs incredibly slow (takes about 12 seconds not 0.5 and is very choppy), if I then return to the first frame and run it again now this time it is extremely slow.
I can't work out why its doing this my CPU stays around 6-15% while its running so it can't be too demanding.
Updated to show rest of my code:
On main timeline have a frame each containing a movieclip. On the timeline of each of these movieclips contains:
//tint an object with a color just like Effect panel
//r, g, b between 0 and 255; amount between 0 and 100
Color.prototype.setTint = function(r, g, b, amount) {
var percent = 100-amount;
var trans = new Object();
trans.ra = trans.ga=trans.ba=percent;
var ratio = amount/100;
trans.rb = r*ratio;
trans.gb = g*ratio;
trans.bb = b*ratio;
this.setTransform(trans);
};//Robert Penner June 2001 - http://www.robertpenner.com
MovieClip.prototype.scaleXY = function(to){
this.onEnterFrame = function(){
this._alpha = to-(to-this._alpha)/1.2;
if(this._alpha > to-1 && this._alpha < to+1){
this._alpha = to;
delete this.onEnterFrame
}
}
}
scoreUpdated = 0;
Answer = 1;
_global.choiceMade = 0;
Buttons = new Array(this.buttonHolder.True, this.buttonHolder.False);
Answers = new Array(this.Correct, this.Wrong);
for (i=0; i<Answers.length; i++) {
Answers[i]._alpha = 0;
}
for (b=0; b<Buttons.length; b++) {
Buttons[b].thisValue = b;
}
In this movieclip there are two movieclip buttons (True and False) containing this code:
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
this.onRollOver = function() {
this.gotoAndStop("over");
};
this.onRollOut = function() {
this.gotoAndStop("up");
};
this.onPress = function() {
this.gotoAndStop("down");
};
this.onReleaseOutside = function() {
this.gotoAndStop("up");
};
this.onRelease = function() {
this.gotoAndStop("down");
whichChoice = this;
_global.choiceMade = 1;
counter = 0;
};
if (_global.choiceMade == 1) {
this.enabled = false;
this._parent.scoreNow = _global.score;
this._parent.scoreOutOf = (this._parent._parent._currentframe)- 1 + ( _global.choiceMade);
if (thisValue == this._parent._parent.Answer && whichChoice == this) {
myColor = new Color(this);
myColor.setTint(0,204,0,13);
this._parent._parent.Answers[0]._alpha = 100;
this._parent._parent.Answers[0].scaleXY(100);
this.tick.swapDepths(1000);
if (counter == 0) {
_global.score++;
counter++;
}
}
else if (thisValue == this._parent._parent.Answer) {
myColor = new Color(this);
myColor.setTint(0,204,0,13);
this.tick.swapDepths(1000);
}
else if (whichChoice == this) {
this._parent._parent.Answers[1]._alpha = 100;
this._parent._parent.Answers[1].scaleXY(100);
myColor = new Color(this);
myColor.setTint(255,0,0,13);
this.cross.swapDepths(1000);
}
else {
myColor = new Color(this);
myColor.setTint(255,0,0,13);
myColor.setTint(255,0,0,13);
this.cross.swapDepths(1000);
}
}
}
The script at the top is on a movieclip these buttons are contained in called buttonHolder which does what it says, and tweens the buttons across the screen to reveal a next button once an answer is chosen.
From what I can see, as long as you have choiceMade == 1 you create a new effect! which is not ok. because in 1 sec at 15 fps you will have 15 tweens running :(
try yo set choiceMade = 0 or somehting else than 1
onClipEvent (enterFrame)
{
if (_global.choiceMade == 1)
{
_global.choiceMade = -1;
var myTweenX:Tween = new Tween(this, "_x", mx.transitions.easing.Back.easeOut, this._x, -349, 0.5, True);
}
}
Without seeing the rest of your code it's hard to see exactly what's going on. But it looks like you never change choiceMade and it continuously recreates the tween.
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (_global.choiceMade == 1) {
var myTweenX:Tween = new Tween(this, "_x", mx.transitions.easing.Back.easeOut, this._x, -349, 0.5, True);
_global.choiceMade = 0;
}
}
