Which Part of JqueryUI contains code for animating colour? - jquery-ui

I want to download only the colour animation part of JqueryUI, or whatever section it's in, but I can't seem to find out which part it is in. I'm pretty sure it's in "Effects" but do I need more than effects core?
Also can someone confirm whether or not I need to have the JqueryUI core itself as well to get colour animation to work.

Change color-theme in whole iOS application

I am going to implement Alert feature in my application.
When user taps an alert button my application is about to change all orange (default) colors to red (Navigation bar, switches, Tab bar, Buttons, views and other stuff).
I want to implement it using "css" files also known as stylesheets.
I've found two libraries: Motif and NUI.
The most important problem is to dynamically change theme inside application. Motif can do this but I want to do it more simple.
Also I learned that NUI can change the app theme too but I can't to change it dynamically.
P.S. I am using storyboard and XIB-files. I need to add runtime attribute for object's key-path. This attribute will go to my stylesheet file and apply styles. It's the most simple way I think.
Can I do it simply and without any libraries?
P.S.S. NUI is more simple for me. Maybe you know how to change styles when application runs.
There are ways of making this work, but not very simply. So your options are either to construct your own solution, or use a library.

Swift Multiple Alert Dialog Fade Out my Interface to Black

Goodmorning all,
In some cases I need to present a lot of alert dialog (overlapped on each other). At the moment i can't find another way to do this because i need to take trace of each user's answer for each question in my dialogs.
So, after 5-6 dialog overlapped i've something like this:
my interface is faded out till to black, there is a way to avoide it?

That happens because the alert has a slight transparent black background which appears on top of the view. The things is since you add a lot of them, at this point this translucent backgrounds they get combined and you get the non-transparent black one.
One alternative would be to not present the alerts all at once but in sequence. So when the first one is dismissed, you present the next one and so on.
Another alternative would be to write your own custom alerts. Then you could control the background as would be fit your application.
However, it does not seem you are using the alerts for what they are supposed to be used, which is errors or messages the user must know. Maybe there is another solution for you application, maybe using a form or something similar. They are quite an intrusive way to interact with an application, so they should be used accordingly.

How does Uber achieve this UI in WatchKit?

How does it superimpose elements (the timer is above the map) ?
To my understanding, you can only use background images on groups, no other kind of custom views...
Any idea ?
My initial guess is that they're using a dynamically-generated image of a map as the background image in the group. The giveaway is that, while WKInterfaceMap allows you to add custom annotations, you can't draw custom shapes like the blue route line.
I could be way off.
The way Uber (and most of the big companies custom's UI) is done is that they're just generating an image in the iOS which is the sent back to the WatchKit extensions and simply displayed as an image.
If you want to create your custom UI with hte current version of the SDK, this is the only way to achieve exactly what you want. You will need some hacks to achieve interactivity but you should be able to do that on your own :)

How do I go about building a native iOS rich text editor?

We want a native rich text editor because we are trying to stay away from using Javascript and webviews for this solution.
We've tried many things so far, and we're left with quite a few obstacles that we just can't get around. Let me break it down into questions that I hope you can answer.
I have a UIButton, that says "B" on it, and I want to put it into the 'selected' state when a user sets 'Bold' from using the TextView's long-press gesture on a selection. How do I register for this state change? I tried adding an observer on the textView.attributedText, but it doesn't seem they are changing that dictionary, but instead are updating it. NSDictionary has no way, as far as I know, to add observers on the dictionary's keys. So I'm stuck with noticing this change.
Regarding number 1, I also tried setting the textView's inputDelegate and it seems that the method - (void)textDidChange:(id )textInput never gets called. :( Docs says is should. What did I do wrong?
How do I update the attributedText weight when I hit my bold italic or underline button.
How do I convert my attributed text into HTML?
I saw a few neat libraries for number 4, but I'm still curious what you'd come up with. (Broadens my options). But, I can't really work on number 4 until I figure out how to do the previous 3.
This editor will also need hyperlinks, bulleted lists, and numbered lists, more things I imagine I'll struggle through, but if you could answer the 4 questions above, that will keep me held over for a while. :)

There is still a lot of work that has to be done, but the basic features are there.
The Apple sample application called 'TextEdit' does much of what you've described and, if not that, would be a very good starting point. Find the sample code with a search in the Organizer.
There is a commercial editor based on the DTCoreText library. I've used that library but not the rich text editor. Look at the Cocoanetics web site. It's not cheap but will save you a ton of work.

Which text rendering framework should I use?

I'm currently scoping out a project for the iPad which is rather text and font heavy. There are many pages of styled text, which also need custom fonts. I have toyed with the idea of simply rendering PDF or PNG files on-screen, but I think we need to be able to dynamically repaginate the text.
We've used UIWebView in a previous project quite successfully, however there are a few things I don't like about it... Firstly, you have to hide all the silly drop shadow elements to stop them showing when the user scrolls beyond the bounds, and we had to add some JavaScript to find out actually when a page had fully loaded. Overall, the experience seemed a bit clunky, as well as worrying if the project could potentially break if Apple decided to update the subviews...
The other thing we've been looking at is Core Text, which looks very powerful. The only worry with this is that it appears to be a rather steep learning curve for us since we've mainly been working in UIKit (with a bit of Core Graphics). I couldn't even work out how to change the size of the font after a morning's work.
Are there any other alternatives*? Should I stick with Core Text? Is there any way of using UITextView with multiple fonts and styles?

You could use Pango, which uses CoreText when on iOS.
