In Scatter chart I have put a overlay div for point click, but when i click the same marker multiple times without moving my mouse pointer it is not considering it to be a click on point and it is considering it as click on chart

I know I can get the actual value to show up in the pie chart, i.e. on the slice. However I want the percentage in the pie chart (which I can get to show up) since it is more likely to fit in a slice and the actual value underneath the label. However no matter what I do I can't get anything besides the respective percentage to show up underneath each slice's label. Help!
I understand that you want to change your pie graph hiding the percentage shown inside the pie slice. If that is your goal, then you only have to update one chart setting. Follow these steps:
Double left click on the chart. The chart editor sidebar will open.
Click on the Customise tab.
Open the Pie chart submenu.
Update the Slice label property from Percentage to None.
In a highcharts line chart, I want to present a link in the tooltip for people to explore the underlying data set for a specific point by clicking on it (done, I used useHTML). The chart itself is an aggregated view showing statistics for some values (y) for different categories (series) across time scale (x), hence the motivation for exploring the non-aggregated data.
However, when the chart becomes dense enough, the user cannot mouseover the tooltip to click the link because it updates with the adjacent data points from the next point/s. Thus, I want to stop the tooltip from updating when the mouse is directly on top of it. How am I able to do this?
You can play around with tooltip.positioner - to make sure user will be able to click that tooltip URL. Or just change logic, so user can click on column instead, just like demo here.
When I zoom in on a series in highcharts, I've noticed that the first visible point of the series is where it starts to draw. This means that if the only point in the visible zoomed area is in the middle, then the line for that series only starts to draw in the middle of the window. Is there a way to make Highcharts render the previous value so that it does not "cut off" the previous values of the graph?
Before, zoomed out:
After, zoomed in (problem):

I have tried setting cropThreshold and connectNulls (just in case) among other tweaks with no luck. Any suggestions?
I am just getting my feet wet with Highcharts and I have ran into an issue. If you have a pie chart with a drill down and your mouse is over a slice and the chart data updates (via setData), the slice goes "inactive". If you try to click the slice to drill down, nothing happens until you mouse off the slice and mouse back on to it. I will be updating values every couple of seconds, so this will become really annoying for users. Here is an example.
http://jsfiddle.net/DSAg7/1/. This is the code that causes the problem:
function intervalDataSet(){
setInterval(function(){
chart.series[0].setData(brandsData);
}, 3000);
};
intervalDataSet();
Place your mouse over a slice and wait a bit until it goes inactive. Clicking the slice will do nothing until you mouse off and mouse back over it. Is there an option or some sort of chart refresh I am missing that I need to do?
I have a stacked area chart using google charts. An example is here: https://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playground/?type=visualization#area_chart
The problem is, when I hover the cursor over an area, no tooltip is displayed. I need to hover the boundary of two neighboring areas to display the tooltip.
Is it possible to display tooltips when hovering areas? If not, do you know of some workaround?
You can use a SteppedAreaChart for this. Set isStacked to true, and by default the tooltips will be shown on hovering over an area.
No, you can't spawn the tooltips by hovering over the area. There is no way easy way to work around this, as the Visualization API does not trigger mouse events on the areas.
If you want to put the effort into this, you can create custom mouse event handlers on the chart's SVG/VML code. It might be possible to extrapolate which area the mouse is in, and given that, you can extrapolate the x-axis position from the mouse coordinates using the ChartLayoutInterface, and spawn a custom tooltip based on that information. Be aware that any solution involving the chart's SVG/VML code could break at any time, as the internal structure of the charts is not guaranteed to be stable from version to version.
